欠点があつた。(Prior Art) Recently, liquid crystal displays (LCDs) have been widely used as display units for portable word processors and the like. This LCD has a structure in which the liquid crystal is sandwiched between two sheets of glass, so when it is used in a device, the display side is covered with a protective transparent plastic plate. FIGS. 4 and 5 show cross sections of conventional related parts. FIG. 4 shows a method of attaching the plastic protection plate 2 to the device housing 1 from the inside by adhesive bonding or high frequency welding, where 3 is the adhesive surface and 4 is the LCD. FIG. 5 shows a method in which a protrusion 5 provided on the housing of the device is fitted into a hole 6 of a plastic protection plate 2A, and the tip is heated and welded and fixed. In all of the above cases, a plastic protection plate is attached from the inside of the case, and once attached, it is difficult to remove. In addition, the plastic protective plate must be free from scratches and dirt so that the display will not become difficult to see.
During manufacturing, sales, and maintenance, the plastic protective plate becomes scratched or dirty and needs to be replaced or cleaned. However, in the conventional mounting method described above, not only the plastic protection plate but also the housing must be replaced. In addition, when cleaning, there were drawbacks such as the need to disassemble the housing to wipe the inner surface of the plastic protective plate.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The protection plate related to the present invention has locking protrusions at both longitudinal ends thereof, and is flexible so that both ends have an internal force to curve outward. The attachment part of this protection plate is a recessed part of the case for embedding the protection plate, whose bottom is the display window and the frame-shaped flat part around it, and is engaged with the above-mentioned locking protrusions on both end walls in the longitudinal direction. A locking hole is provided.

る。(Function) When installing the protection plate, first curve the protection plate in the opposite direction to shorten the overall length by the amount of the locking protrusion, and after it hits the locking hole in the burial recess, release it to restore the full length. The locking protrusion is inserted into the locking hole of the burial recess, and the internal force of the protection plate is restored, and the locking part formed by the locking protrusion and the locking hole is protected by the center part of the protection plate that presses the frame-shaped plane. The plate is stably fixed in the buried recess due to stress when it is in a flat state. still,
Removal can be easily carried out by hooking one's finger on the notch provided at the edge of the center portion of the protective plate or using a hook.

3 has a display window 14 provided to match the display surface 11a of the liquid crystal display device 11, and the periphery thereof forms a recess into which the protection plate 12 is fitted. The display window 14, which is the bottom surface of this recessed portion, and its surroundings are a frame-shaped flat portion 15. Further, the recess has locking holes 17 at both ends thereof in the longitudinal direction, into which projections 12a at both ends of the protection plate 12 in the longitudinal direction are inserted. On the other hand, when the protective plate 12 is not assembled, as shown in FIG. 1, the central portion is warped so as to be convex toward the device housing (lower side in the figure). Further, the thickness of the protective plate is formed to be slightly thicker than the depth of the recessed portion on the side of the casing.

Then, when the protrusion 12a at the opposite end is inserted into the recess and the lifted center part is released, the remaining part of the protrusion 12a is inserted into the locking hole 17 on the housing side. Since the protection plate 12 has a downwardly convex shape in the free state, in the locked state, the frame-like plane 15 and the locking hole 17 apply a force to the protection plate in a direction to return the downward convex warpage. This allows the parts to be assembled without rattling or lifting. It can be easily removed by hooking the tip of a finger on the notch 18 in the center or by lifting it with a hook.
