This invention relates to a concrete block in which mortar or concrete is injected into the cavity of the block and then cured in one piece, thereby forming a part corresponding to a normal joint between adjacent blocks to firmly connect them, and a method of constructing the block. .

The upper end surface, lower end surface, one side end surface 5', and the other side end surface 6' form a single plane so as to be in close contact with other adjacent blocks. For this reason, as shown in Figure 7, these blocks 1' are constructed using both vertical reinforcing bars 7' and horizontal reinforcing bars 8', and mortar is always used during the masonry work. Adjacent blocks are glued and fixed together using a joint material 9' such as, and after a predetermined period of time, when the joint material 9' has hardened to some extent, mortar or concrete is injected and filled from the uppermost cavity. However, methods were taken to ensure the solid strength of the final architectural structure.

Each time the blocks were stacked, it was necessary to successively apply a joint material such as mortar to secure them in place. In the construction method using blocks having such a structure, it is necessary to apply joint material to all joint surfaces between the blocks, which requires a great deal of effort, time, and skilled work. In other words, extremely precise dimensional accuracy was required for joint materials such as mortar, which were all applied by hand, and as a result, the people who performed these tasks required considerable craftsmanship. be. Furthermore, it was not possible to inject fillers such as mortar or concrete until the joint material had hardened to a certain extent to ensure contact strength, and many problems remained in terms of workability and construction time. .

A large number of concrete blocks 1 are assembled using vertical reinforcing bars 7 and horizontal reinforcing bars 8 without using joint material such as mortar, and when all the masonry is completed, the hollow part at the top of the masonry is 4, a filling material such as mortar or concrete is injected (placed) all at once, thereby ensuring the desired solid strength.
A part of this filler is formed in the preset concave step portions 2a, 3a and the convex step portions 2b, 3b.
It enters the gap 9 formed by the size difference between the
This filling material in the gap 9 can function as a joint material in conventional construction methods.

When the upper and lower end surfaces of the back wall are stacked, although the front side edge portions are abutting and engaging, there is no vertical penetration between the upper and lower end surfaces of the front wall and the back wall excluding this front side edge portion. A gap is provided that communicates with the cavity between the connecting walls. As a result, after a wall-like structure is formed by building up only concrete blocks (of course reinforcing bars are used in conjunction with conventional methods) without using joint materials such as mortar, mortar and By injecting the filler such as concrete all at once, a portion of the filler also flows into the space between the upper and lower blocks. The filler that has flowed into this gap plays the role of joint material in conventional block construction, so the strength of the completed structure is comparable to that of conventional structures, and the filling material is used as a joint material in conventional block construction. Since there is no need to fill, the construction period is extremely short, and even in relatively large structures, all the joints are filled at once by injecting the filler, resulting in high-quality structures. can do.

This makes it possible to provide a concrete block that has various excellent properties, such as a concrete block that is free from damage, and a construction method using the concrete block.
