Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a three-dimensional colored pattern having reality by filling inorg. coating into a pattern carved in the glazed surface of a tile and scratching off an excess of the coating. CONSTITUTION:Clay is kneaded with rough stone, press-molded, glazed and fired to form a tile 1. The glazed surface 2 of the tile 1 is etched to carve a desired pattern 3. Inorg. coating 4 is filled into the pattern 3 and an excess of the coating 4 is scratched off with a scratching plate so that the surface of the pattern 3 is slightly recessed 5. The filled coating 4 is then dried.

However, all of the decorative patterns formed by these conventional means are flat and lack a three-dimensional effect.

Furthermore, these decorative patterns have the problem of disappearing or peeling off if rubbed carelessly. Furthermore, overpainting using transfer paper requires firing in an electric furnace or the like, although the temperature is low, which complicates the process and increases costs.

[Means for solving the problem] In order to solve the problem, the present invention forms a tile body by mixing clay and raw stone, kneading with water, press-molding, glazing, and firing. A desired pattern is engraved on the glazed surface by etching or the like, and the engraved pattern is filled with acid-free paint, the surface is treated with a handling board to scrape off excess paint, and then dried.

The inorganic paint filled into the engraved pattern formed by etching etc. is resistant to ultraviolet rays and acids, so it is less likely to turn four colors over time and maintains a vivid color tone. In addition, the acid-free paint is air-dried and does not undergo any baking process, so it will not deteriorate or change color due to heat.
In particular, it maintains the vividness of metallic colors such as gold and silver, and when combined with carved patterns, it creates a three-dimensional decorative effect.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 indicates a tile body having a square planar shape with a required thickness, which is made by mixing clay and raw stone, kneading it with water, molding it under pressure, applying glaze 2 to its surface, and firing it. A desired engraved pattern 3 is engraved on the surface of the tile body I, that is, the glazed surface, by etching or the like.

Then, the engraved pattern 3 is filled with an acid-free paint 4 colored in a desired color, for example, gold, and the surface of the tile body l is further treated with a scraping board to scrape off the excess acid-free paint 4 as shown in FIG. As shown in the figure, a slight depression 5 is formed on the surface of the engraved pattern 3, and this is left to dry.

The surface of the decorative tile formed in this way is expressed by the acid-free paint 4 filled in the carved pattern 3.For example, the color tone such as gold is obtained because the acid-free paint 4 is strong against ultraviolet rays and acidity, and is not fired. This keeps the colors vivid, and furthermore, the depressions 5 formed on the surface of the carved pattern 3 create a three-dimensional effect as well as a realistic appearance, creating a beautiful color effect that has not been seen in conventional decorative tiles.

As described above, the method for manufacturing decorative tiles of the present invention includes:
By filling in the engraved patterns created by etching on the glazed surface of the tiles with acid-free paint, it is possible to express a three-dimensional and realistic color pattern, and the color tone also changes over time. It requires less coloring and maintains its vivid color, making it possible to provide an excellent product that cannot be found in conventional decorative tiles.
