段とを有し、磁界印加手段により記録媒体に磁界
を印加しつつ、光ビーム照射手段から光ビームを
照射して情報の記録を行う情報記録装置において
、 磁界印加手段で磁界を発生するための第1の電
圧手段と、第1の電圧手段により発生する磁界と
は逆方向の磁界を発生させるための第2の電圧手
段と、記録する情報に応じて第1の電圧手段と第
2の電圧手段とを切り換えて磁界印加手段に供給
するスイツチ手段とを備え、第1の電圧手段と第
2の電圧手段における電圧の絶対値は異なること
