Abstract

PURPOSE:To diminish noise and avoid uneven distribution of coldness in freezing and refrigerating compartments and a reduction in refrigerating performance by a method wherein a fan is enclosed in a cooler cover and the periphery part of a hole in the cooler cover, which surrounds the fan, has a thickness larger than that of the adjacent part. CONSTITUTION:The cold air is generated by a cooler 4 and discharged by a fan 6 through a hole 19 in a cooler cover 18. The cold air is distributed to an air port 15 and air outlets 13 by a protruding rub 10 on the cooler cover 18 and respectively led to and circulated through refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment where heat exchange takes place. After that, the wet air is induced by the fan 4 and turned to cold dry air by heat exchanging while it flows through the cooler 4 from bottom to top. The hole 19 is provided in the cooler cover 18 so as to surround the fan 6 and its periphery part has a flange-like shape and a thickness thicker than the adjacent part. Therefore, as the periphery part has a larger mass and is enhanced in rigidity, the periphery part of the hole 19 provided on the cooler cover 18 is prevented from vibrating and producing noise. Moreover, as a clearance is prevented from being created between the protruding rib 10 and a contact face 17 of a grille 12, problems such as uneven distribution of coldness in the freezing and refrigerating compartments and a reduction in the refrigerating performance do not occur.

The operation of the refrigerator configured as described above will be explained below. First, the cold air generated in the cooler 4 is passed through the hole 9 of the cooler cover 8 by the blower 6 as shown by the arrow in FIG. Then, some of the air passes through all 16 air vents and flows into the refrigerator compartment. In addition, the cold air that circulates through the freezer compartment and exchanges heat with the stored items is passed through the intake port 14. The cold air that has circulated through the refrigerator compartment and exchanged heat with the stored items is guided below the cooler 4 by separately provided ducts 16, and when sucked upward by the blower 6,
It performs heat exchange with the cooler 4. The cold air that has passed through the hole 9 reaches the lip 1o and the lip 1o protruding from the cooler cover 8! At the contact surface 17 of J/l/12, it is distributed to the freezer compartment and the refrigerator compartment.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the above configuration, when the cold air cooled by the cooler 4 is discharged during the rotation of the air blower @e during refrigerator operation, the end portion provided on the cooler cover 8 is There were problems such as the area around the flange-shaped hole vibrating and generating noise. Also this evening, the cooler cover 8! j/l
If the mounting part 12 becomes loose, the lip 10 protruding from the cooler cover 8 and the contact surface 17 of the grill 12 will not come into contact with each other, and when a gap occurs, cold air will protrude into the freezer and refrigerator compartments. It leaks from the middle of 1° depending on the load in the freezer and refrigerator compartments.
