Molten metal 2 prepared in an electric furnace or the like is stored in a container 1 having a stopper (not shown). After the molten metal 2 has been placed in the container 1, the stopper is opened and the molten metal 2 is injected from the injection nozzle 3 into the atomizing device as an injection stream 21. The atomizing nozzle 4 of the atomizing device injects a spraying medium to form a spraying medium surface 41, and the injection stream 21 from the pouring nozzle 3 falls onto the spraying medium surface 41, becomes powder, and is mixed with the spraying medium. The conventional container 1 has a one-chamber structure. For this reason,
If the molten metal 2 is poured from the pouring nozzle 3 while being supplied, the injection flow 21 will be disturbed due to the turbulent flow of the molten metal 2 in the container 1. That is, container 1
The turbulence in the container 1 caused by the molten metal 2 being poured into the container 1 extends to the vicinity of the pouring nozzle 3, causing the injection flow 21
Disturbances such as shaking, unraveling, and twisting occur. The fluctuation of the injection flow 21 means that the injection flow 21 is
This is a phenomenon in which the injected flow 21 is deviated from vertically downward to one side and falls, and the scattering is a phenomenon in which the injected flow 21 is split and falls in the form of many particles. Further, twisting is a phenomenon in which the injected flow 21 becomes slightly flattened and falls while swirling in a spiral shape.

Injection stream 2 of molten metal 2 falling onto the spray medium surface 41
If turbulence (shaking, unraveling, twisting, etc.) occurs in the atomizing nozzle 4, the injected flow 21 will not be atomized and will solidify within the atomizing nozzle 4, thereby blocking the space within the nozzle. That is, atomize nozzle 4
Blocking occurs. If blocking occurs, interruption of atomization is inevitable.

Therefore, in the conventional injection container 1, the molten metal 2
If molten metal is poured at the same time while being supplied with molten metal, blocking will inevitably occur. Therefore, such simultaneous pouring was impossible.

If the amount of molten metal 2 processed at one time is a small amount of at most 100 kg or several tons as in the past,
Even if the process of supplying the molten metal 2 to the container 1 and the process of atomizing are performed separately, no major problem arises. However, when the scale of production is expanded and a large amount of molten metal 2 weighing several tens of tons is to be processed in one go, it is inefficient to carry out both processes separately. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously or intermittently receive the molten metal 2 into the container 1 and simultaneously pour the metal into the atomizing device.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to maintain the injection flow 21 even when the molten metal 2 is supplied and simultaneously poured.
An object of the present invention is to provide an injection method and device that does not cause disturbances in the injection process.

(Means for Solving the Problems) As a result of repeated research to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present inventor separated the container into three chambers, and sequentially delivered the supplied molten metal to these three chambers in a predetermined manner. We came up with the idea of calming the flow by guiding it through a channel.

Note that in the above, it is preferable that the molten metal be guided through an immersion hole that opens in a fixed direction from the first chamber to the second chamber. However, instead of dipping holes, narrow gaps may also be used. Further, from the second chamber to the third chamber, a gap provided at one end of the side wall of the second chamber may be used as a flow path. At this time, it is preferable to bend the end of the side wall into a dogleg shape so that the cross section of the wall surface at the entrance of the flow path from the second chamber to the third chamber has this shape. Further, it is preferable to avoid placing the pouring nozzle very close to the corner of the third chamber. This is to prevent twisting of the injection flow due to swirling flow.

(Function) Molten metal is guided from the first chamber to the second chamber in the form of a jet flowing in a fixed direction through an immersion hole or a narrow gap. This jet of molten metal collides with a wall provided in the second chamber facing in this direction and is reversed. As a result, the flow of molten metal that has been decelerated and rectified is
It is led to the third chamber through a gap forming a flow path between the chamber and the third chamber. If the wall surface of the entrance of the gap forming the flow path from the second chamber to the third chamber is formed into a dogleg shape, the flow of the molten metal can be further calmed by the swirling current generated thereby.

Molten metal 2 continuously or intermittently supplied from ladle 10 is accommodated in first chamber 11 . Therefore, the flow of molten metal in the first chamber 11 is extremely turbulent. An immersion hole 6 is bored in the wall separating the first chamber 11 and the second chamber 12, so that the first chamber 11 and the second chamber 12 communicate with each other. The molten metal that has passed through the immersion hole 6 flows into the second chamber 12 as a jet stream. As a result, the flow in the first chamber 11 that has a high flow velocity, is highly turbulent, and has large temporal changes becomes a stable jet with a high flow velocity but a constant direction. Immersion hole 6
Alternatively, a narrow vertical gap may be provided in the wall between the first chamber 11 and the second chamber 12, but the immersion hole 6 provides a more stable jet flow.

The flow path connecting the second chamber 12 and the third chamber 13 is
Due to the gap provided at the wall end 7 of the wall 12c that separates the chamber 12 and the third chamber 13, this gap is completely open to the molten metal surface, as is clear from FIGS. 1 and 2. It is in between. This wall edge 7
is bent in a dogleg shape, and from the second chamber 12 to the third chamber 1
The cross section of the side wall of the inlet of the flow path to No. 3 has this shape. As a result, a vortex is generated at the inlet of the flow path (see FIG. 1). The generation of this vortex has the effect of further calming the flow of molten metal from the second chamber 12 to the third chamber 13.

It is important to avoid placing the pouring nozzle 3 near the corner of the third chamber 13, especially on the bisector of the corner (indicated by a broken line in FIG. 1). This is because if the pouring nozzle 3 is provided at this position, a swirling flow is generated in the molten metal, and the pouring flow 21 is likely to be twisted.

Furthermore, at the start of supplying molten metal 2 from ladle 10, stopper 8 is lowered to close pouring nozzle 3, and when the molten metal in container 1 reaches a predetermined level, stopper 8 is raised to pour the molten metal. Assume that nozzle 3 is opened. This is because the injection flow 21 cannot be stabilized until the molten metal level in the container 1 reaches a predetermined value.

FIG. 3 is a plan view of another example device in which a third chamber 13 is arranged separately on both sides of the second chamber 12.
The container 1 has a first chamber 11, a second chamber 12, and a third chamber 13.
The first chamber 11 and the second chamber 12 are connected to the immersion hole 6.

The flow path from the second chamber 12 to the third chamber 13 is completely open to the molten metal surface, and the wall end 7 of the wall 12c of the second chamber 12 is bent in a dogleg shape. The cross section of the side wall has this shape. Note that the broken line in the figure indicates the bisector of the corner of the third chamber 13. (Effects of the Invention) According to the present invention, even if the molten metal 2 that is continuously or intermittently supplied is accommodated in the container 1 and simultaneously injected into the atomizing device or the like in the next step, the injection flow 21 is There will be no disturbance. When a conventional single-chamber container is used, if molten metal is supplied to the container and poured at the same time, turbulence will inevitably occur in the injection flow 21.

In order to confirm the effects of the present invention, a water model experiment was conducted using a half-sized model of the apparatus shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. Lower the stopper 8, pour water from the ladle 10, and when the water reaches the predetermined level, raise the stopper 8 and pour water into the ladle 10.
Open and start injection. After that, water continued to be supplied from the ladle 10, but the turbulence of the water flow in the first chamber 11 did not affect the third chamber 13, and the water was swayed by the injection flow 21 from the pouring nozzle 3, dispersing, No disturbances such as twisting occurred. Further, even when water was intermittently supplied from the ladle 10 to the first chamber 11, the injection flow 21 remained completely stable and no disturbance was observed.

Next, the device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 (actual tundish) was manufactured from refractory material and used for actual atomization. The amount of molten metal (molten steel) processed at one time was 30 tons, and 70 operations were conducted. Depending on the manufacturing conditions, the processing time could exceed 2 hours, but the injection flow 21 was extremely good and no blocking occurred due to its turbulence.
