That is, there are two types: one that uses standard-sized single-sheet paper such as A4 or B4, and the other that uses long continuous paper wound into a roll. On the other hand, some transmitters are capable of transmitting long originals as they are, while others are not. When communication is performed between the above-mentioned devices, it is clear that a receiver using a single sheet of paper as recording paper cannot continuously receive long originals as they are.
本発明は上記の点に着目してなされたもので、

A long document can be continuously transmitted as it is without cutting, and can be easily received by a receiver using single-sheet paper.
以下、本発明の実施例について説明する。 Examples of the present invention will be described below.

The facsimile machine 1 on the sending side can transmit a long original 3 as it is without cutting it, and the original 3 has a text 4 written over the entire paper surface. Receiving side facsimile 2
is a method that uses A4 size recording paper 5, and the above-mentioned text 4 sent from the sending side is reproduced on the recording paper 5 as the same record 6. Here, it is assumed that both facsimile machines 1 and 2 are equipped with G mode, and approximately 1140 scanning lines can be recorded in the vertical direction, that is, in the sub-scanning direction, at normal line density on A4 size recording paper. do.
上記交信は第2図に示す如き手順で行われる。 The above communication is performed in the procedure shown in FIG.

ない。 First, the sending side performs handshake with the receiving side using known means, determines the scanning line density, and determines whether the recording paper of the receiving side facsimile 2 is single-sheet paper or continuous paper. Once the size is known, 1140 scanning lines can be recorded vertically as described above, so this number is set in the counter in the sending facsimile 1.
Next, transmission begins while reading the original 3, but each time one scanning line is sent, 1 is subtracted from the number set in the counter, and when that number reaches 0, it is announced that the original is finished. ” is sent to the receiving facsimile 2. After the signal is sent, the handshake is performed again, and the above-described operation is repeated until the original document 3 is exhausted. On the receiving side, this process is repeated every time the recordable number of lines is recorded on the recording paper 5, so if the receiving facsimile 2 is in a state where reception is not possible, no transmission is performed, and multiple sheets of originals are sent. can be received in the same way as if it had been sent. The recording papers obtained in this way are Nos. 5-1 to 5-4. Here, a device for counting the sending of the document end signal is provided in the sending facsimile 1, and a page number signal based on the counted number is sent out at the same time as or immediately after sending out the signal, and a page number signal is sent out for each of the recording papers. If the number of pages is printed on 5-1 to 5-4, the order of records 5-1 to 5-4 will be correct and no mistakes will be made in reproducing record 6.

単な制御により長尺原稿の送信が可能である。 As described above, according to the present invention, a long document can be transmitted regardless of the model of the receiving side, and recording paper on the receiving side can be used without wasting it, which is economical. In addition, in this application, the length of the original is counted as the number of scanning lines and compared with the number of counts that can be recorded on the recording paper on the receiving side, so there is no need for a special device to detect the length of the original. , it is possible to send long documents with simple control.
