Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は溶接領域内の導電材と、熱供給とその
後の冷却により封止可能な材料とを構成要素とす
る誘導溶接装置に関する。前記材料は溶接により
相互接続される二面の少くとも一方の上に与えら
れる。より詳細には本発明は例えば装置内のルー
プや直線導体等の導電体を流れる高周波電流によ
り生成される磁界や磁気流の修正装置を有する装
置に関する。前記磁界修正装置は基本的には熱エ
ネルギを供給すべきでない被溶接体の領域を遮へ
いする形式のものであり、溶接領域には修正磁界
により行われる電気誘導により熱エネルギが妨げ
られずに発生する。
〔従来の技術〕
本発明の基本的問題は高周波磁界を修正しエネ
ルギの観点から有効で且つ良く定義された方法で
“遮へい”領域を定義する構成を提供することで
ある。さらに本構成は製造及び取扱いが容易でな
ければならない。
従来高周波誘導溶接では“溶接インダクタ”か
らの磁界を溶接領域へ向けて指向させ他の領域を
電流を生じる磁界からいわば遮へいする必要性が
認識されていた。
既知の方法では例えば銅等の導電材の短絡ルー
プを磁界から遮へいすべき領域の周りに配置す
る。磁界/磁気流はループ内に電流を誘起しこの
電流は反作用磁気流を生じ、“遮へい”領域の正
味の磁気流が低減されることを意味する。しかし
ながら本方法はループの誘起電流によりループに
大きな熱消散が生じることを意味する。熱消散は
生産速度で溶接具を作動させるのに相当の冷却を
必要とする程である。このような冷却は損失を意
味し実質的に効率を低下させる。
もう一つの方法では例えば軟鉄等の高透磁率を
有する強い磁性材を溶接領域に隣接配置して高透
磁率材料内の磁気流を既知の方法で“集める”。
この原理は例えば電力変圧器等の低周波応用から
取り出されており、全ての利点を保持したまま高
周波応用に完全に使用できるという特徴はない。
この特定応用において“高周波”とは少くともK
Hz、通常10〜50KHz程度の周波数を意味する。特
に溶接領域の導電材の小さな貫通深さを狙う場合
により高い周波数も使用できる。しかしながら小
さな貫通深さにエネルギを“集中”させると材料
を焼き通すことがある。非常に高い周波数では誘
導現象も最終結果に寄与する。
本発明は既知の誘導溶接法の代替策を提供す
る。本発明の構成により−驚くべきことに−既知
の装置の欠点が著しく顕著に解消されしかも極め
て製造性が良く取扱いが容易である。
本発明の誘導溶接装置は、図面に示すように、
磁界を発生させてこの磁界を溶接領域に向けるた
めの導電部材のループ11、および非導電性材料
の支持基盤16内部の、導電性で本質的に非磁性
の粒子17からなり、ループ内側部分の所定領域
を遮蔽するためにループの内側に配置した磁界修
正層15を有する。
好ましくは支持基盤は例えばエポキシ樹脂等の
可塑性部材で出来ている。
基盤内の粒子量は実際の応用に応じて変動する
が、基盤内において50重量%以下の量が好まし
く、なるべく15重量%以下の量とする。
粒子サイズも変動するが、一例としておよそ
1μから数10μまでのサイズの粒子をあげることが
できる。
粒子は銅ダスト、カーボンブラツクもしくは他
の導電材とするのが有利である。
〔実施例〕
基本的に溶接手段は磁界を発生する溶接誘導子
として作用する略円型の閉じた形状の導電体11
を具備する。溶接導体11は好ましくは可塑性材
料、例えばエポキシ樹脂の本体12内に全部もし
くは一部埋設されている。ループの境界縁内には
数mmの範囲内の深さまで凹部13が形成され、本
体12の円錐接合部14から数mmの距離に半径方
向外縁を有している。
凹部13内には支持基盤16及びその中に支持
された粒子17からなる本体15が配置されてい
る。支持基盤は非導電性であり好ましくは例えば
エポキシ樹脂等の可塑材でできている。粒子は例
えば銅やカーボンブラツク等の導電性で本質的に
非磁性材である。粒子の寸法はおよそ1μから数
10μの範囲内である。
溶接手段10の円錐接合部14は該接合部14
により容器19の頂部端の内側に圧接されている
容器カバー18の外縁と内部接合している。カバ
ー18は数100μ厚の例えばポリプロピレンの外
部プラスチツク層とおよそ10μの範囲内の厚さで
プラスチツク層内の例えばアルミニウム箔等の金
属材の境界層からなつている。
溶接手段10の円錐端14は作動位置へ挿入さ
れ従つて関心のある溶接領域は容器19の頂部と
カバー18上の上向きフランジ間の領域となる。
溶接誘導子14内の電流は既知の方法でループ
内に軸方向に磁気流を生じ、このような磁気流は
基本的にループに供給される電流の周波数に等し
い周波数で発振している。しかしながらここでは
説明しない理由により、粉末充填凹部13の下の
領域の容器カバー内では磁気流は顕著に感知され
ない。さらに短絡導電ループの例を見れば、封止
容器生産ラインにおける溶接手段の長期動作中で
も本体15は著しく加熱されない。
溶接誘導子からの磁気流は容器の縁領域すなわ
ち所望の溶接領域以外の領域からは遮へいされる
ことがお判りいただけることと思う。
質的観点からお判りいただけるように、実際の
磁気流(30KHzの範囲内の周波数)に対する磁気
流径路が得られ、それはここでは説明できない理
由により粉末装填体領域を回避している。
実施例は環状溶接領域の加熱に向けられたが、
粉末塊を有する原理は他の応用にも使用できる。

    的に非磁性の粒子17からなり、ループ内側部分
    の所定領域を遮蔽するためにループの内側に配置
