次のような場合が考えられる。 ■ビデオ信号の輝度信号がFM変調されて磁気記録され
る記録系において、FM変調される以前の輝度信号の高
域の小レベル信号成分を強調するデイテールエンファシ
ス回路のエンファシス量を制御する。 ■ビデオ信号の輝度信号がFM変調されて磁気記録され
る記録系において、FM変調された輝度信号の低域信号
成分を持上げるFMイコライザの等化■を制御する。 ■再生された輝度信号がFM復調される再生系において
、II調される以前のFM輝度1を号の高域を持」−げ

録輝度信号処理回路2側に接続して前記したようにして
ビデオ信号の記録又は再生を行なう、このビデオ信号の
記録又は再生では記録系又は再生系の特性が使用するビ
デオテープの特性に見合ったものとなっているので、該
ビデオテープの性能を充分に引き出すことができる。 [発明の効果コ この発明は上記したように、記録すべきビデオ信号の輝

気記録媒体の特性に見合ったものに設定するようにした
ものにおいて、前記FM変調器に所定レベルの直流電圧
を選択的に入力する直流電圧源を備え、前記FM変調器
に前記直流電圧を入力して得られる該FM変調器の出力
を前記の基準信号として用いるようにしたから、独立し
た発振器を用いることなく、単波長の基準信号を発生さ
せることができ、構成を簡単ならしめ得る。
