の特性の測定のためには主として実際のVTRを
用いていたが、この方法ではVTRが回転ヘツド
型になつているため、磁気ヘツドの取付け、取外
しや交換などが面倒で時間が永く掛る上、ヘツド
の取付姿勢の最適条件を求めるのが困難であつ
た。

微動させることができるので、最適磁気ヘツド姿
勢を容易に明らかにすることができる。しかし、
この方法では磁気テープ2を高速(2〜7m/
sec)で走行させなければならないが、このよう
な高速で走行させた場合、テープ走行精度に限界
があることなどから、走行ジツタ、トラツクず
れ、磁気ヘツドと磁気テープとの接触不安定など
の多くの問題を生じて正確な測定を行なうことが
困難になる上、磁気テープを多量に必要とするた
め、試作磁気テープのように小量の磁気テープし
かない場合には、ほとんど測定が不可能に近いも
のとなつてしまう欠点があつた。
