Claims (1)
た目盛を有するスケールと、このスケールと相対

するアツプダウンカウンタと、前記複数の磁気セ
ンサの出力信号に基づいて、前記スケールと前記
磁気センサとの相対移動の方向を検知するととも
に、前記アツプダウンカウンタにカウントアツプ
信号またはカウントダウン信号を出力する方向弁
別回路と、前記スケールの前記目盛を設けた範囲
の、前記目盛と異なる部分に形成した原点用電気
磁気特性変化部と、前記スケールと相対移動可能
に配置され、前記原点用電気磁気特性変化部を検
出するとともに、この原点用電気磁気特性変化部
を検出したときに、前記アツプダウンカウンタに
リセツト信号を出力する原点検出センサと、を有
することを特徴とする直線位置検出装置。 (2) 前記原点用電気磁気特性変化部は、前記ス
ケールに形成した凹形状、凸形状または着磁であ
ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の直線位置検
出装置。 (3) 前記原点検出センサには、このセンサの出
力信号の立ち上がりまたは立ちさがりの予め定め
た一方を検出し、前記アツプダウンカウンタにリ
セツト信号を出力する信号検出回路と、前記方向
弁別回路が出力する方向弁別信号に基づいて切り
替えられ、前記原点検出センサまたは前記信号検
出回路のいずれか一方を前記アツプダウンカウン
タに接続する切替回路とを接続してあることを特
徴とする請求項1または2に記載の直線位置検出
装置。 (4) 電気磁気特性を周期的に変化させて形成し
た目盛を有するスケールと、このスケールと相対
移動可能に配置され、前記目盛を検出する複数の
磁気センサと、この磁気センサの出力信号を計数
するアツプダウンカウンタと、前記複数の磁気セ
ンサの出力信号に基づいて、前記スケールと前記
磁気センサとの相対移動の方向を検知するととも
に、前記アツプダウンカウンタにカウントアツプ
信号またはカウントダウン信号を出力する方向弁
別回路と、前記スケールの前記目盛を設けた範囲
内の、前記目盛と異なる部分に設けられ、目盛と
異なる間隔をもつて形成した複数の基準点用電気
磁気特性変化部によつて区切られるとともに、識
別マークを有する複数の基準区間と、前記スケー
ルと相対移動可能に配置され、前記基準点用電気
磁気特性変化部を検出して前記基準区間の端部を
検知する基準点検出センサと、前記基準点検出セ
ンサが前記各基準点用電気磁気特性変化部のいず
れかを検出したときに、前記基準点検出センサの
出力信号と前記アツプダウンカウンタの出力信号
とに基づいて、位置確認信号を出力する位置確認
信号出力回路と、を有することを特徴とする直線
位置検出装置。 (5) 前記複数の基準点用電気磁気特性変化部は
それそれが異なつた間隔をもつて配置してあり、
前記識別マークは前記各基準点用電気磁気特性変
化部間の目盛を構成している電気磁気特性変化部
であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の直線位
置検出装置。 (6) 前記複数の基準点用電気磁気特性変化部は
等間隔に配置してあり、前記識別マークは、前記
各基準点用電気磁気特性変化部間に形成した、前
記基準点検出センサによつて検出される電気磁気
特性変化部であることを特徴とする請求項4に記
載の直線位置検出装置。 (7) 前記位置確認信号出力回路は、前記基準点
検出センサが前記基準点用電気磁気特性変化部を
検出したときの、前記アツプダウンカウンタの計
数値が予め定めた値と異なるときに、前記アツプ
ダウンカウンタに計数値を修正するカウント修正
信号を出力することを特徴とする請求項4ないし
