After inserting this catheter to the target site, the guide wire is removed and a procedure such as contrast imaging or treatment is performed. During such a procedure, a wire such as a guide wire must be rotated, pushed, or pulled at hand during the process of inserting it into the body. Therefore, the operator must either hold the wire directly with a metal chuck or through gauze impregnated with an antithrombotic agent such as heparin, or hold the wire directly with his/her hand and push, pull, rotate, etc. was doing.

On the other hand, a guide wire coated with a hydrophilic coating or the like is slippery, and it is difficult to rotate, push, or pull the guide wire when grasping it by hand and inserting it into the body.

Furthermore, since the gripping portion is provided, the wire rod or the catheter integrated with the wire rod can be easily manipulated. In addition, the wire held by the wire holding part and the catheter fitting member into which the base of the catheter is fitted can freely change the direction of the tip of the guide wire without changing the direction of the shape of the tip of the catheter, which has a shape at the tip. Since it is provided with a connecting part that can be rotated, it is possible to easily select the blood vessel at the insertion target site.

A branched cylindrical portion 64 is formed, and a flushing circuit 90 is provided in this cylindrical portion 64. The flushing circuit 90 includes a tube 91 and a three-way stopcock 92 fixed to the end of the tube 91, and a liquid such as physiological saline or a contrast medium is injected from the end 92a of the three-way stopcock 92.

The convex portion 75 is rotatably engaged with a convex portion 85 provided at the front end of the connecting member 80 as shown. As described above, in the case of this embodiment, the convex portion 75 at the rear end of the connecting band 70 and the convex portion 85 provided at the front end of the connecting member 80 form a connecting unit. This allows the wire rod and the catheter to rotate relatively independently, as in the case of the second embodiment.

The catheter and the wire manipulating device can be integrated as appropriate, allowing easy operation with one hand, for example. Further, since the wire rod handling instrument of the present invention has a substantially cylindrical gripping portion, delicate rotational operation is possible when gripped with fingers or the like. Further, the wire rod handling instrument of the present invention includes a wire rod held by the wire rod holding part,
The catheter has a connecting part that can rotate relatively independently of the catheter fitting member into which the base of the catheter is fitted, making it easy to select the blood vessel to be inserted. Blood vessels can be easily selected even if the In addition, the wire manipulating device of the present invention is provided with a valve body in the hole of the wire manipulating device, and a flushing circuit connected to the hole and branching from the hole and extending outward. Flushing is possible and the occurrence of blood clots can be prevented. In addition, if the amount is small, contrast imaging can be performed without removing the wire.
