記録紙をサーマルヘツドの配列方向に対し直角な
方向への紙送りを行いながら当該記録紙へ記録を
行う際に印字品質を向上させるため当該サーマル
ヘツドを調整するサーマルヘツド印字調整装置に
おいて、 上記紙送りの方向を前方とするとき、上記サー
マルヘツドの前方部分において当該サーマルヘツ
ドを下方へ押し付ける調整可能な力を作用させる
バネ、 上記サーマルヘツドの後方部分において当該サ
ーマルヘツドを支持するヘツド支持部材と当該サ
ーマルヘツドとの隙間にウエーブワツシヤ等の弾
性体を挿入し、上記ヘツド支持部材に当該サーマ
ルヘツドをネジでネジ止めする手段、 このネジを締め付けあるいは緩めることにより
、上記サーマルヘツドの後方部分を上下方向に移
動させ、当該サーマルヘツドを傾斜させて当該サ
ーマルヘツドが上記記録ドラム上の記録紙に接触
する前後方向の位置を調整するヘツド傾斜機構、 を備えたことを特徴とするサーマルヘツド印字調
