に一方の側端縁に係合突部８が、他方の側端縁に係合凹
部９がそれぞれ設けである。
また基板１の表面には所定の間隔で複数本の突条２．２
・・・が全長に亘って平行に突設しである。この各突条
２にはその先端部の両側に係止突片３が側方へ張り出す
ように全長に亘って突設しである。
一方、化粧ブロック４は例えば天然や人工の石材などを
スイライスして矩形の板状に形成されるものであり、第
１図に示すようにその両側縁には差し込み片１０が突設
しである。
そして隣合う各突条２，２間に複数枚づつ化粧ブロック
４をはめ込むことによって、第２図に示すような、基板
１の表面に複数枚の化粧ブロック４．４・・・を縦横に
配列して取り付けた壁材Ａを得ることができるものであ
る。突条２，２間に端部から化粧ブロック４を差し込ん
で、突条２に設けた係止突片３に化粧ブロック４に設け
た差し込み片１０を係止させることによって、基板１に
化粧ブロック４を固定することができる。従って、基板
１に化粧ブロック４を固定するにあたって接着をおこな
うような必要がなくなり、基板１に取り付けた化粧ブロ
ック４を取り替えたりすることが任意におこなえる。
しかして、上記のように作成される壁材Ａを家屋の壁面
の壁下地に釘打ち等して取り付けることによって、複数
枚の化粧ブロック４を壁面に張ることができ、セメント
モルタルなどを用いて１枚づつ化粧ブロック４を壁面に
張る必要がなくなり、施工にタイル職人のような熟練を
要する作業者は不要になる。また１枚の壁材Ａを取り付
けることによって複数枚の化粧ブロック４，４・・・を
同時に壁面に取り付けることができることになるために
、施工の労力も少なくて済むものである。壁面に張る壁
材Ａのうち隣合うものは、第４図に示すように基板１の
係合突部８と係合凹部９を係合させることによって接続
することができる。この隣合う基板１，１の表面間に渡
すように、突条２，２間に化粧ブロック４を取り付ける
ことによって、基板１．１の接続部を化粧ブロック４で
隠すことができるものである。
尚、上記実施例のように基板１に予め化粧ブロック４を
取り付けておく他に、壁面に基板１を張った後に基板１
に化粧ブロック４を取り付けるようにしてもよい。また
、化粧ブロック４としては厚みや長さ、幅、表面の柄、
目地を設けたものや設けていないものなど、種々のもの
を用いることができるものであり、基板１に取り付ける
化粧ブロック４，４・・・とじて同じものを用いたり、

化粧ブロック４の表面の両側縁に張り出し片ｉｉ、ｉｔ
を設けて、化粧ブロック４，４間の目地溝が狭く形成さ
れるようにしである。第６図の実施例では化粧ブロック
４の厚み寸法を突条２の突出高さより小さくして突条２
の先部の全体が露出するようにしである。また、第７図
