に設け、該支持部材4の下部には用紙ガイド板5
を設けると共に、用紙ガイド板5の先端部分には
取付板6を用いて用紙の剥離爪7を取付け、剥離
爪7の刃先は前記加熱ロール1の後方下部の一外
周に接するように配置することによつて、図示を
省略した感光体の転写点で当該感光体の表面に形
成されたトナー像を未定着状態に転写されて搬送
されて来る用紙を、前記加熱ロール1と加圧ロー
ル2とで加熱圧着して定着させ、剥離爪7によつ
て加熱ロール1の表面から剥離したのち、用紙ガ
イド5に沿つて図示を省略した排出ロール部へと
搬送するように構成されていた。しかしながらこ
のような構成の定着装置は、前記ロール部に紙詰
まりが生じ、これを取除くため、剥離爪7を取付
けた支持部材4を軸3を支点として上方に回動さ
せて紙の取出口を広げようとするとき、該支持部
材4には中立位置があり、該位置ではオペレータ
ーが手を離しても支持部材4は第2図に示すよう
に停止しているので、前記紙詰まり用紙の取除き
作業をこの状態で行ないがちであるが、支持部材
4をこのような不安定な状態にして前記作業を行
なうことは、作業中にその振動によつて剥離爪7
が落下する可能性が非常に高くオペレーターの手
を傷つける危険性が多分にあるといつた欠点があ
つた。

にスプリング等を取付けて、当該支持部材が中立
できる位置を下げ、この位置ではオペレーターは
装置内に手を差入れることはできないようにする
と共に、支持部材はこの中立位置を少しでも越え
て上方に持ち上げたとき、前記スプリングによる
作用が働いて、自動的に最大開放位置まで回動し
てしまうことによつて紙詰まり用紙の取出しが容
易であると共に該作業時にオペレータが手等怪傷
しないようにした定着装置を提供することを目的
とする。

とによつて支持部材14に触れると支持部材14
は引張スプリング16の弾力によつて、図中13
に示す最大開放時の位置へ自動的に回動して取出
口を最大に開けた状態となる。
