て、シールド機を掘進用ジヤツキで推進させ、カ
ツタにて切削された切羽室内の土砂をスクリユー
コンベヤにより排土し、切羽室内の土圧により切
羽の崩壊を防止しつつ掘進する土圧系シールド掘

従来の土圧系シールド機による掘進方法におい
ては、切羽室内の土圧を測定するために、シール
ド機の隔壁に土圧計を設置する場合が多いが、土
圧計が過酷な状況に耐えられず、故障が多く、ま
たその土圧計の修理交換も困難であるため、シー
ルド機の運転が盲操作となることがあつた。また
かかる土圧計を用いたとしても、シールド掘進時
に切羽室内の土圧を一定に保つことはきわめて困
難であるために土質によつては掘進時にバランス
を崩し、地下水を呼び込んだり、過取込みとなる

せ、カツタにて切削された切羽室内の土砂をスク
リユーコンベヤにより排土し、切羽室内の土圧に
より切羽の崩壊を防止しつつ掘進する土圧系シー
ルド掘進方法において、準備段階として最初のシ
ールド機の掘進によつて切羽室および土圧調整室
に土砂を充満させ、掘進作業に際してシールド機
を掘進させながら、土圧ジヤツキにより土圧を切
羽室の方向に押し出して切羽室内の土圧を所定の
土圧に保つと同時に切羽室内の土砂をスクリユー
コンベヤにより排出し、土圧調整室内の土砂が無
くなると同時にスクリユーコンベヤによる排土を
止めて切羽室の土圧を保ちながら、土圧ジヤツキ
を縮めて掘進を継続し、土圧調整室内に土砂を充

い。また土砂ジヤツキ収縮時も切羽室の土圧に応
じた土圧ジヤツキの作動をすればよい。それ故に

キ3で掘進を継続し、土圧調整室8内に土砂を充

によつて切羽室および土圧調整室に土砂を充満さ
せ、掘進作業に際してシールド機を掘進させなが
ら、土圧ジヤツキにより土圧を切羽室の方向に押
し出して切羽室内の土圧を所定の土圧に保つと同
時に切羽室内の土砂をスクリユーコンベヤにより
排出し、土圧調整室内の土砂が無くなると同時に
スクリユーコンベヤによる排土を止めて切羽室の
土圧を保ちながら、土圧ジヤツキを縮めて掘進を
継続し、土圧調整室内に土砂を充満することを特
