Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable transfer to be performed even by a small head supply current and enable specific printing density to be realized irrespective of environmental temperature by a method wherein a temperature sensor part which senses emvironmental temperature of an ink ribbon and a printing head, a heating element applying preheat to the ink ribbon, and a preheat control part which analyzes an output signal of the temperature sensor part and makes the heating element generate appropriate preheat, are provided. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 2 sensing environmental temperature of an ink ribbon 1 and a heating element 3 applying preheat to the ink ribbon 5 in a path in which the ink ribbon 1 is stretched. A preheat control part 4 controls preheat temperature with the heating element 3, analyzes an output signal of the temperature sensor 2, and makes the heating element 3 generate preheat so that a printing heat 5 and its ambient ink ribbon 1 reach specific temperature irrespective of environment temperature.

Conventional transfer methods, which do not have a preheating mechanism for the ink ribbon and print head, require the print head to instantaneously generate the heat necessary for transfer, which requires a large amount of current. Another disadvantage is that the current supplied to the head must be changed depending on the temperature of the print head.

The thermal transfer serial printer according to the present invention includes a temperature sensor unit that senses the ambient temperature of the ink ribbon and print head, a heating element that preheats the ink ribbon, and an output signal of the temperature sensor unit that analyzes the output signal and preheats the heating element appropriately. It has a preheating control section that generates the preheating.

A temperature sensor 2 for measuring the ambient temperature of the ink fountain 1 and a heating element 3 for preheating the ink fountain 1 are provided on the front side of the print head 5 on the path along which the ink ribbon 1 is stretched. Prediction? The control unit 4 controls the preheating temperature by the heating element 3 (so it analyzes the output signal of the temperature sensor 2 and sets the print head 5 on the heating side 3 and the ink print head 1 around it to a constant temperature regardless of the ambient temperature. Generate child valves.

As explained above, the present invention preheats the print head of the ink ribbon to a constant temperature, thereby making it possible to perform transfer with a smaller head supply current during printing, and also to maintain a constant head supply regardless of the ambient temperature. It has the effect of achieving a constant print density using electric current.
