Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a composition having excellent air purifying effect by adding a polybasic oxyacid to a raw material based on FeO and Fe2O3 in a specific ratio to sufficiently react the same with the raw material. CONSTITUTION:A magnetite substance based on FeO and Fe2O3 is used as a raw material. A polybasic oxyacid such as ascorbic acid or citric acid is added to the magnetite substance in an amount of 0.5-10% by wt. of the total iron component of the magnetite substance and both of them are sufficiently reacted. The air purifying molded body thus obtained has excellent purifying effect and can be inexpensively prepared by utilizing blast furnace dust or sintered dust.

[Means and effects for solving the problems] The air cleaning composition and air cleaning molded article of the present invention contain FeO and Fe2O.
3 as a main component. A raw material containing FeO and Fe2O3 as main components and further containing metallic iron is also used as a raw material in the present invention. In the present invention, these materials are collectively referred to as magnetite-based materials. Magnetite-based substances can also be used without problems even if they contain CaO, 5i02, etc. as impurities. Therefore, as the magnetite-based substance, artificial magnetite, magnetite, ferrite, etc. can be used. In addition, blast furnace dust, steelmaking dust, steelmaking slag, rolling scale, etc. are generated in a steelmaking factory, and these byproducts generated in a steelmaking factory can also be used as the magnetite-based material of the present invention. For example, converter dust generated when molten steel is oxygen-blown in a converter contains FeO: 40-70%, F
e2O,: 4-30%, metallic iron: 4-7%, CaO
: Although it has a composition of 1 to 8%, it is a preferable magnetite-based substance that has excellent reactivity with oxypolybasic acids, which will be described later, because it is in the form of a fine powder.

In the present invention, oxypolybasic acids are added to the magnetite-based material in an amount of 0.5 to 10% by weight based on the total iron content of the magnetite-based material, and the magnetite-based material and the oxypolybasic acids are reacted. The above 0.5 to 10% by weight of the oxypolybasic acids is an insufficient amount to chemically react the entire amount of the magnetite-based material. Therefore, the composition obtained by the above treatment is a composition in which the reaction product of iron oxide and oxypolybasic acids coexists with unreacted Fed, Fe2O, or even metallic iron. However, if the content of oxypolybasic acids is less than 0.5% by weight, the amount of the composition obtained by the reaction is small, and the air purifying power of the composition is low. Moreover, if the oxypolybasic acid content exceeds 10%, the composition obtained by the reaction will be covered by the excess oxypolybasic acid, and the air purifying power of the composition will be reduced.

In the present invention, the term oxypolybasic acids refers to ascorbic acid, an acid similar to ascorbic acid having an OH group and a COOH group, or a mixture of two or more of these acids. Examples of acids similar to ascorbic acid having an OH group and a COOH group include citric acid, gluconic acid, tartaric acid, tannic acid, gallic acid, and phthalocyanine.

Contains Fe2O, Fe, etc. For example, if the air purifying composition of the present invention is continuously used in an air purifying device containing a large amount of odor gas, the air purifying power of the air purifying composition of the present invention will deteriorate; Since the air cleaning composition contains unreacted FeO, Fe, O, Fe, etc., the air cleaning composition of the present invention does not deteriorate, for example, by leaving it in the atmosphere or by heating and humidifying it. The air purifying power will be restored in a short time, and strong air purifying power will be restored.

The reason why the air cleaning composition of the present invention has better NH and cleaning power than that of Japanese Patent Application No. 280776 is not clear, but the presence of FeO prevents the iron/ascorbic acid complex from drying out. This is thought to be due to the change from the conventional example described below to the example of the present invention, where more Fe terms, which serve as the core of coordination bonds, are created, and the number of Fe++ atoms to which Ni13 coordinates is increased.

The air freshening composition of the present invention also includes: It also exhibits stronger cleaning power against sulfur compound gases such as 11□S than the one disclosed in Japanese Patent Application No. 1-280776. Although the reason for this is not clear, one reason for this is that Fe2O contained in the air purifying composition of the present invention acts as a catalyst to decompose 11□S as described below. A commonly used base such as OH is added to Mg(OH)z + in an amount of, for example, 0.5 to 3% by weight based on the total iron content of the magnetite-based material. When a magnetite-based substance and an oxypolybasic acid are sufficiently reacted, the oxypolybasic acid is fully used up, so even if a base is present, the reaction will not occur actively.

According to the findings of the present inventors, by coexisting a base, the air purifying power against sulfur compound gases, acetaldehyde, etc. is further strengthened. It is assumed that this is because the coexistence of a base creates a reaction field that facilitates the decomposition reaction of these gases.

その結果を第1表のNH3脱臭テスト欄に示した。The results are shown in the NH3 deodorization test column of Table 1.

In addition, in Table 1, the NH3 deodorization retest column indicates the NH3 deodorization retest column for 100 minutes.
The filter used for deodorization was then left in the atmosphere for 2 hours, and the NH3 gas deodorization test was performed again, and the NH on the filter outlet side after 30 minutes was 9 degrees.

Furthermore, as shown in the deodorizing retest column, filters B and C of the present invention recover their deodorizing power and regenerate their strong deodorizing power when left in the atmosphere, similar to Comparative Example A. In Table 1, D is an example in which converter slag is used as a raw material, but converter slag has a total content of FeO, Fe2O3, and Fe of 23%, so its absorption capacity for NH and gas is not large.
