  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 １ 機械加工のための回転工具用に用いられるシ
    ヤフトにおいて、 (a) 通常の工具材に比べてヤング率が高くか
    つ比重が小さい高動剛性材質よりなるとともに、
    シヤフトの軸線がその中心に位置する芯材部およ
    び、 (b) この芯材部を形成する材料よりも靭性が
    高い高靭性材質よりなるとともに、その芯材部を
    包囲して表層部分を形成する外装部 を具うたことを特徴とする回転工具用シヤフト。 ２ 前記芯材部を包囲する外装部が、芯材部に比
    べて熱膨張率が大であるとともにこの芯材部に圧
    縮応力が発生する緊締状態の表層部分を形成する
    ものであることを特徴とする請求項１に記載の回
    転工具用シヤフト。
