Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は高度な防漏性を有する吸収性物品に関するもの
である。特に生理用ナプキンや失禁者用パッドなど、使
用者が衣類とともに装着し、狭い股間にて用いられる吸
収性物品に関する。
〔従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題〕従来の
吸収性物品、例えば、生理用ナプキンあるいは使い捨て
おむつは、基本的に、液体透過性の表面材、液体保持性
の吸収体、及び液体不透過性の防漏材からなる。
近年、吸収性物品は急速な技術の進歩に伴い、吸収性ポ
リマー、疎水性表面材などの新しい素材を導入すること
により、吸収性能の向上が図られてきた。しかし、これ
らの個々には優れた性能を組み合わせた吸収性物品も実
際の使用時においては本来の性能を十分に発揮している
とは言えない。これは、このような吸収性物品に対する
使用者の第１の不満点が、依然として股間部や臀部から
の漏れであることからも明らかである。
この漏れの最も大きな原因は、■使用者の運動等により
装着した吸収性物品に不規則な応力が加わり、吸収性物
品が所定の位置から移動（以下ズレと記す）してしまっ
たり、■吸収性物品に不規則な変形（以下ヨレと記す）
が生じたりして、身体と吸収性物品の間に隙間が生じる
ことによるためである。
これらの原因による漏れは、使用者が着用する衣類によ
っても大いに影響を受ける。より身体に密着しないショ
ーツでは、上述の漏れは比較的、低吸収容量で発生しや
すい、また、身体に密着したシ巧−ツを着用した場合に
は、圧迫感、むれ感等の不快な状態に耐えなければなら
ない問題点がある。
これらの問題を解決するために、特開昭６０−７５０５
８号公報及び特開平１−１１１００２号公報等に、吸収
性物品の縦方向中央部位置において、両側部から可撓性
の耳片を延出させ、使用時にショーツに固定することに
より、防漏性を改善する技術が数多く提案されているが
、確かにこれらの技術を用いた場合、股間からの漏れは
正しく装着された場合にはある程度防止できるものの、
用いる衣類によっては、例えば身体との密着性が弱いシ
ョーツや、ショーツのクロッチの幅が吸収体の幅より大
きい場合は、耳片が吸収性物品の表面を覆ってしまい、
必ずしも効果的にモレを防止できない。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明者らは、いかなるショーツを着用しても、効果的
に股間及び臀部からの漏れを防止し、快適な着用感を与
える吸収性物品を得るべく鋭意検討した結果、本発明を
完成するに至った。
即ち、本発明は、液体透過性の表面材、液体保持性の吸
収体、及び液体不透過性の防漏材を有する実質的に縦長
の吸収性物品において、該吸収性物品の縦方向に偏倚し
た位置で幅方向の両側端から可撓性の耳片が延出し、該
耳片が存在する部位に対応する位置において、少なくと
も長手方向両側部に液体不透過性部を有することを特徴
とする吸収性物品を提供するものである。
以下、本発明を図面に基づき詳細に説明する。
第１図は、本発明に係る吸収性物品の一実施例を示す正
面図であり、第２図は第１図のハーバ線における断面図
である。
この吸収性物品１は液体透過性の表面材４、液体保持性
の吸収体６、及び液体不透過性の防漏材３を有し、実質
的に縦長であり、該吸収性物品の縦方向に偏倚した位置
で幅方向の両側端から可撓性の耳片２が延出し、該耳片
が存在する部位に対応する位置において、少なくとも長
手方向両側部に液体不透過性部４ｂを有することを特徴
とする。即ち、液体不透過性部４ｂに相当する吸収性物
品の上面、側面及び下面が不透過性となっている。
この吸収性物品の表面材４は、特公平１−１１９２５１
号公報にて提案されているような、肌に接する側に疎水
性のフィルムが配置され、その形態が頂部、底部、及び
それらを連結する壁部を有する凹凸構造をしており、少
なくとも壁部の一部には開孔が設けられ、かつ底部には
開孔が存在しないことが、液体透過性、液もどり防止性
、吸収後の遮蔽性、及びドライ感の点より好ましい。フ
ィルム層の開孔は、液体透過性、液もどり防止性、吸収
後の遮蔽性のバランスの上で決定されるが、一般に開孔
の大きさが０．１〜２ｍｍであり、開孔の密度が１０〜
１００個／ｃｍ”であることが好ましい。
このようなフィルム層の素材としては、疎水性であれば
フィルム形成でき得るどんな樹脂でもよい。例えば、ポ
リオレフィン、オレフィンと他のモノマー（酢酸ビニル
、アクリル酸エチルなど）の共重合樹脂、ポリエステル
、ナイロン、アセテートといった合成樹脂及びこれらの
ブレンドポリマーなどが挙げられるが、風合いや、実生
産における加工性を考慮するとポリオレフィン、オレフ
ィンと他のモノマーの共重合樹脂又はこれらのブレンド
ポリマーが好ましく、その中でも低密度のポリエチレン
、直鎖状低密度のポリエチレン又はエチレン−酢酸ビニ
ル共重合体ないしはそれらのブレンド物がより好ましい
。
更に、液体透過性や液戻り防止性を制御するための手段
として、界面活性剤の塗布、プラズマ照射などの物理的
処理又は鉱酸処理などの化学的処理などにより、フィル
ム層の表面を親水化処理することも可能であるし、逆に
、シリコン系やフッ素系の薬剤の塗布などにより、フィ
ルム層の表面を撥水化処理することも可能である。また
、風合いの改善などの必要に応じて、フィルム層にカレ
ンダー処理や微細なパターンのエンボス処理を施すこと
も可能である。
更に、表面材が該フィルムと親水性繊維集合体を一体化
した、例えば、ラミネート不織布、ラミネート紙などで
あれば、吸収性、特に吸収する速度の点より好ましく用
いることができる。
ここで、繊維集合体とは、繊維同士の軽度の絡み合いか
ら成るいわゆるウェブ、繊維同士が絡合又は接着により
固定されてなるいわゆる不織布又は紙を意味する。その
繊維組成は、どのようなものを用いることも可能である
。但し表面材の保形性を考慮すると、ポリオレフィン、
ポリエステル、アクリル、ポリアミドなどの合成繊維を
５０重量％以上含むことが好ましい。この中でも、特に
弾性に富みかつ安定した風合いを形成することが容易な
ポリプロピレン、ポリエステル、ポリエチレン／ポリプ
ロピレン複合繊維、ポリエチレン／ポリエステル複合繊
維、低融点ポリエチレン／ポリエステル複合繊維がより
好ましい。合成繊維を用いる場合には液透過性を考慮す
ると繊維の表面に適当な方法で親水化処理を施すことが
好ましい。繊維の太さは、液透過性と風合いを考慮する
と、一般に１〜１０デニールの範囲にあることが好まし
い。繊維層の坪量は、表面材が十分な保形性を持ちかつ
良好な風合いを有する範囲で自由に定めることができる
が、一般に５〜１００ｇ／ｍ”であることが好ましく、
ｌＯ〜５Ｑｇ／ｍ”であればより好ましい。
本発明の一実施例である第１図及び第２図に示した吸収
性物品の表面材４は、中央部領域４ａにおいてのみ開孔
部を有し、縦方向両測部領域４ｂでは、単に中央部領域
と同一の凹凸形態を有しているのみで未開孔であり、液
体不透過性部を形成している。
開孔している中央部４ａの幅は、吸収性物品の幅により
自由に変えることができるが、吸収性物品と同時に着用
されるショーツのクロッチの幅が一般に６０〜８０ｍｍ
であり、この幅と同一かこれより小さい幅である３５〜
８０ｍｍが好ましり、６０〜７５１１ＩＩがより好まし
い。３５＋ｎ＋より狭い領域であると、使用者の装着方
法あるいはミスにより、未開孔部領域４ｂが、排出部位
に存在しモレにつながる結果となり好ましくない。８０
ｍｍ以上あると股間部領域より著しく幅広になり、装着
時に狭い股間に存在するゆえに種々の変形が生じ、吸収
性も時として悪くなるとともに、装着時の違和感が生じ
好ましくない。
縦方向両測部領域の未開孔部領域（液体不透過性部）４
ｂの幅としては、２〜２０ｍ−が好ましく、３〜１０■
■がより好ましい。未開孔部領域の幅が２０＋＊ｓを超
えると必然的に中央部領域４ａの幅が狭くなり好ましく
なく、幅が２＋ｉｗ未満になると、使用者の運動等によ
り装着した吸収性物品に不規則な応力が加わり両側端の
開孔部より容易に体液かにじみ漏れを生じてしまう。
更に本発明のより好ましい形状としては、第３図及び第
４図に示される従来の吸収性物品とは異なり、該表面材
４と液不透過性の防漏材３とが、吸収体６の幅より狭い
領域つまり吸収体の存在する領域の固定部５において接
合されていることが好ましい。
表面材４をまき下げ、防漏材３と第２図に示すように接
合することにより、該表面材の両測部未開孔部領域４ｂ
の効果を著しく高めることができる。第３図に示される
従来の吸収性物品の如く、吸収体６の両側端部外側で表
面材４と防漏材３とを接合する方法では、耳片２をショ
ーツに固定するとき、吸収体に様々な力が加わり、変形
しやす（なってしまうため好ましくない。
表面材４をまき下げ、防漏材３と接合することにより、
吸収体６の存在する領域においてショーツとの固定点が
存在し、この固定点を軸にショーツと吸収性物品が固定
され、吸収体６に直接耳片２からの変形力が加わるのを
制御でき著しく吸収性を高めることができる。
表面材４と防漏材３を固定する位置５は第２図に示すよ
うに、吸収体の幅２、吸収性物品の幅ｌ゛、固定点の幅
β″及び表面材の開孔部が存在する領域の幅ｉ！４．と
すると、ｌ＞２′であることが必要である。更には、固
定点の幅！”が吸収体の幅！より小さく、表面材の開口
部領域ｌ１以上の間隔があれば、即ち！１．≦ｉ”〈２
であればより好ましい。
表面材４と防漏材３の固定方法は、公知の材料、公知の
方法を用いることができる。生産性を考慮に入れると、
ホットメルト接着剤が好ましい。固定方法としては、ビ
ード状あるいはパラレル状であっても良いが、吸収体下
部からの防漏性からビード状が好ましい。
更に本発明の吸収性物品は、第１図に示したように、吸
収性物品１の縦方向に偏倚した位置で、幅方向両側端か
ら可撓性の耳片２が延出しているため、体液が排出され
る点に概ね一致する耳片部分より後方の吸収体の長さが
、前方に比べて大きくなる。吸収性物品１の縦方向の中
心線ローワ′と、耳片２の縦方向の中心線ハハ“とが実
質的に一致しない。従って、装着時に臀部を覆う面積が
恥骨部に比べて相対的に増大し、臀部からの漏れは飛躍
的に制御される。
本発明においては、吸収性物品の縦方向の中心線ローワ
°と耳片２の縦方向の中心線ハーバ。
とは少なくともｌｈｍ以上融離していることが好ましい
。
本発明において、耳片２としては第５図に示すように、
ショーツ７に固定する際に、容易に折れ曲がるほど可撓
性であれば任意のものを用いることができるが、保形性
や耳片と肌との当接面での感触向上の為、フィルムと親
水性繊維集合体を一体化した、例えば、ラミネート不織
布、ラミネート紙などが好ましい。
本発明に係わる耳片２の好ましい大きさは、吸収性物品
の大きさにより変化するので一概に規定されるものでは
ない。ただし、吸収体の長さと幅が各々２５０ｖｗ、　
７０ｍｍ程度の夜用大型ナプキンにおいては、一般に耳
片の長さと幅は各々３０〜７０ｍｍ、　２５〜５０ｍｍ
であることが、シゴーツヘの固定の安定性及び固定操作
の容易性の点で好ましい。また、耳片の位置は、吸収性
物品の縦方向中央から２０〜４０ＩＩＩ１１程度縦端に
偏倚させることが好ましい。
本発明の吸収性物品は、第５図に示すようにショーツ７
に耳片２をまきつけて固定している公知の方法にて使用
されるが、その装着方法により著しく吸収性能が影響を
うける。
本発明では、吸収性物品をショーツに固定する際、第６
図に示すように耳片２をショーツ７よりしっかりと引き
出し、表面材と防漏材との固定点がショーツのクロッチ
端部に位置するようにすることで、著しく吸収性能を発
揮でき好ましい。
特開昭６０−７５０５８号公報に提案されているように
、耳片が壁を形成する装着方法においては、身体に密着
しない衣類を使用者が着用した場合、耳片が吸収体面を
覆ってしまうことが発生し、耳片を伝わって漏れにつな
がり、本発明の吸収性能が発揮できなくなることがあり
好ましくない。
〔作用及び効果〕
上述したように、耳片をショーツよりしっかりと引き出
し、表面材と防漏材との固定点がショーツのクロッチ端
部に位置するようにすることで、耳片が吸収体面を覆っ
てしまうことが発生することもなく、本発明の長手方向
両側部にある液体不透過性部の防漏効果がいかんなく発
揮できる。
更に、耳片をショーツよりしっかりと引き出し、粘着材
等でショーツのクロッチ部裏面に固定することで、身体
に対して装着時に吸収性物品が凸状になり、有効に吸収
性物品の性能が発揮できる。
更に別の効果として、ショーツのクロッチ端部は常に身
体側に密着しようとする力が働いている為、耳片をショ
ーツよりしっかりと引き出し、表面材と防漏材との固定
点がショーツのクロッチ端部に位置するようにすること
で、装着時に吸収性物品が身体に対して密着し防漏効果
がいかんなく発揮できる。
以上のように、本発明の吸収性物品は、身体に密着性の
小さいショーツから、身体に密着性の大きいショーツま
で同様の吸収性能が発揮でき、使用者にとって安心でき
る吸収性物品を提供できる。

Claims (7)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １．液体透過性の表面材、液体保持性の吸収体、及び液
    体不透過性の防漏材を有する実質的に縦長の吸収性物品
    において、該吸収性物品の縦方向に偏倚した位置で幅方
    向の両側端から可撓性の耳片が延出し、該耳片が存在す
    る部位に対応する位置において、少なくとも長手方向両
    側部に液体不透過性部を有することを特徴とする吸収性
    物品。
  2. ２．該液体不透過性部が、長手方向両側部全体にある請
    求項１記載の吸収性物品。
  3. ３．表面材が凹凸を有することを特徴とする請求項１又
    は２記載のの吸収性物品。
  4. ４．表面材の凹凸部の壁部に開孔部を有することを特徴
    とする請求項３記載の吸収性物品。
  5. ５．表面材を構成する部材が、フィルムと繊維集合体を
    一体化した部材であることを特徴とする請求項３記載の
    吸収性物品。
  6. ６．液体不透過性部の幅が各２〜２０ｍｍである請求項
    １又は２記載の吸収性物品。
  7. ７．液体不透過性部の幅が各３〜１０ｍｍである請求項
    １又は２記載の吸収性物品。
