[ Detailed explanation of the invention ] [Industrial application field] This invention is applicable to
O 2 gas concentration can be measured using an inexpensive gas heat conduction type CO 2 sensor.
This relates to a CO 2 gas detection device.

Storage of vegetables, etc. (generally referred to as CA storage)
In this case, refrigeration is used to lower the O 2 concentration and increase the CO 2 concentration. For example, when storing apples, which is the most common method, the inside of the refrigerator is kept at 0°C and the O 2 concentration is kept at 2.
- Reduce CO2 from 21% to approximately 3% over 3 weeks.
The concentration is 2% for one month, and then stored in an atmosphere of 3 to 5% (conditions vary depending on the variety of apple).
Methods for adjusting the O 2 concentration include inserting N 2 gas, using exhaust gas from burning hydrocarbons, and adsorbing and removing O 2 with zeolite, etc. % to 3%.

に共通点がある。
On the other hand, in the case of combustion exhaust gas, O 2 is generated in the combustion chamber.
Concentrations vary from 21% to 2-5%. If the O 2 concentration decreases too much, the CO 2 concentration and smoke will increase, and if the O 2 concentration increases, the heat loss that escapes with the exhaust gas will increase. In this case as well, the change in O 2 concentration is large, so measuring CO 2 in the presence of large changes in O 2 concentration has something in common with exhaust gas from combustion equipment and long-term storage of vegetables, etc.

However, gas thermal conduction type gas sensors used in conventional gas detection devices perform detection using differences in thermal conductivity of gases, so although there are differences in sensitivity depending on the target gas, selectivity is does not have. Therefore, there has been a problem in that conventional gas detection devices cannot accurately measure CO 2 gas.

2 is a CO 2 sensor, which is a gas heat conduction type gas sensor that takes advantage of the difference in thermal conductivity between the standard gas (air) and the measurement gas.The measurement gas is passed through a platinum wire coil that has been electrically heated in advance. When you touch it, heat is taken away by the heat conduction of the gas, and the temperature of the platinum wire coil changes. Since this change is approximately proportional to the gas concentration, the change in resistance of the platinum wire can be extracted as the deviation voltage of the bridge circuit.
This gas heat conduction type CO 2 sensor 2 is suitable for detecting highly concentrated gases, and since it utilizes the physical property of gas called heat conduction, it can be used over time without problems such as catalyst deterioration or poisoning. Since it uses platinum wire, it is more stable than the thermistor type.

FIG. 2 is a characteristic diagram showing the output of the CO 2 sensor 2 with respect to gas concentration. In this figure, straight line a is the CO 2 gas output of CO 2 sensor 2 in N 2 gas, that is, the output due to CO 2 gas in the absence of O 2 , and straight line b is the output of CO 2 sensor 2 in air. in
It shows the output due to CO 2 gas, that is, the output due to gas in which O 2 is present (CO 2 +O 2 ). Straight lines a, b
From the comparison, it is clear that there is a causal relationship between the output of the CO 2 sensor 2 and the presence of O 2 gas.

As can be seen from FIG. 2, if the correction amount adjuster 7 is adjusted so that the CO 2 concentration indicator 11 indicates 0 when the CO 2 gas concentration is zero, then the CO 2 concentration indicator 11 The indication will indicate the concentration of CO 2 gas without being affected by the O 2 gas concentration.

次に第1図の実施例の動作について説明する。 Next, the operation of the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 will be explained.

First, zero adjustment of the CO 2 sensor 2 is performed in N 2 gas. At this time, both O 2 and CO 2 gas concentrations are 0%. Next, in air (at this time, O 2 : 21% Vol,
CO 2 :0% Vol), adjust the O 2 span regulator 5 so that the indicator 6 indicates 21%.

Since the output of the CO 2 sensor 2 is shifted to the negative side as shown by straight line b in FIG. 2 due to O 2 gas in the air, the O 2 added to the adder 9 is 2 Adjust the output amount using the correction amount adjuster 7. As a result, the O 2 dependence of the CO 2 sensor 2 is canceled, and henceforth it becomes possible to detect the CO 2 concentration regardless of the O 2 concentration. Therefore, the CO 2 sensitivity is adjusted by the CO 2 span regulator 10 using the calibration gas. The preparation is now complete.

Furthermore, when it is desired to measure the O 2 gas concentration, the output of the CO 2 sensor 2 may be turned off and the output of the O 2 sensor 1 may be read with the indicator 6.

As explained above, this device uses a correction circuit to correct the output of the CO 2 sensor with the output of the O 2 sensor, making it possible to accurately determine the concentration of only the CO 2 gas. Therefore, in the combustion exhaust gas,
CO 2 gas concentration can be measured accurately and at a much lower cost than conventional infrared CO 2 meters. In addition, since the concentration of O 2 gas and CO 2 gas in the long-term storage of vegetables can be accurately measured, the storage of vegetables can be properly managed. Furthermore, by knowing the output of O 2 gas using an indicator before entering the warehouse, there is an advantage that the oxygen deficiency state for the human body can be known.
