BACKGROUND ART A microbial sampling method generally referred to as the stamp method is widely used to inspect the degree of contamination of foods, food manufacturing equipment, or objects that require sanitary control.

Conventionally, the stamping method involves dispensing agar medium into a cylindrical bag made of polyethylene or the like with one end closed, and cutting the sausage-shaped bag with a sterile knife from one end with the opening closed. A method of stamping the surface of the medium on the test object, cutting it again to include that surface, and placing it in a sterilized shear dish for culturing. There are two methods, one is to stamp the object to be tested, then cover it and culture it.

Therefore, the inventor of the present invention has made extensive studies to overcome these conventional drawbacks, and has devised the roller-type culture medium of the present invention.

The specific manufacturing method of such a roller-type culture medium 2 does not matter, but for example, a cylindrical core body 22 having a hollow shaft core 21 is placed in a container body 3, and an appropriate distance 31 is set between the inner wall of the container body 3 and the inner wall of the container body 3. It is simple and advantageous to form and insert the agar medium solution P into the space 31 and solidify it, and then remove the container body 3 and produce it. In this case, if a container body 3 that can be vertically divided into two is used, it can be easily removed. Further, it is advantageous for the cylindrical core body 22 to have an appropriate number of protrusions formed on its peripheral wall surface in terms of retaining the culture medium.

In addition, if the roller-type culture medium 2 has multiple types of media, for example, one half of the roller surface is a standard agar medium for measuring the number of bacteria, and the other half is an agar medium for fungi, one medium can be used. Even in the case of body 2, microorganisms can be collected in multiple types of culture media at once.

When using the roller type culture medium 2, it is preferable to rotatably and detachably attach the roller type culture medium 2 to the end of the gripping rod 1, for example, to obtain good results.

The specific method for attaching the culture medium 2 to the gripping rod 1 is as follows.
As long as it is rotatable and detachable, it does not matter. A method of attaching the support shaft 12 by inserting it into the hollow shaft core 21 of the culture medium 2, or attaching the support shaft 12 to the end of the gripping rod 1.
3, and the supporting shaft 12 is inserted into the hollow shaft core 21 of the culture medium 2 to be supported thereon.

In addition, when collecting microorganisms with such a gripping rod 1 attached, the roller-type culture medium 2 is
may be removed from the gripping rod 1, placed in the culture container 4 as appropriate, and cultured. Incidentally, as for the culture container 4, for example, the axis portion 2 of the culture medium 2 is attached to the side surface of the culture container.
It is advantageous to form a notch or a protrusion for supporting the container 1, since this prevents contact between the culture medium surface and the container wall.

Since the present invention is configured as described above, by rotating the roller type culture medium 2 while contacting the surface to be inspected, microorganisms are collected on the surface of the medium.

Therefore, according to the present invention, since microorganisms can be collected by a rotation method rather than a stamp method, microorganisms can be collected extremely easily from a curved surface. Moreover, according to the present invention, microorganisms can be collected from a desired site (medium) by partial rotation, so that microorganisms can be tested and cultured efficiently.
