【考案の詳細な説明】
(イ) 産業上の利用分野
本考案は電子機器に設けられる液晶表示体の照

従来、液晶表示体によつて時計、カウンタのデ
イジタル表示を行なうものでは、暗い所での表示

(ハ) 考案が解決しようとする問題点
バツク照明として発光ダイオードを用いる装置
では、液晶表示体の大きさが大きい場合、例えば
長方形状になつている場合には、複数個の発光ダ
イオードを必要とすることになり、コスト面で非
常に高価となり且つ照明ムラが各所に表われると
いう問題があつた。又、ランプを用いる装置では
ランプが点光源になるため反射板の反射形状に細
工を施さなければ、液晶表示体の全体に亘つて均
一な光を照射することが出来ず、ランプから遠い

本考案は上述の問題点に鑑み、長方形状の液晶
表示体の背面よりランプ光を照射する照明装置に
おいて、背面中央にランプが保持された反射ケー
スと、該反射ケースの前面開口に装着されると共
に前記液晶表示体の背面に並設された半透明プラ
スチツクから成る第1光拡散板と、前記反射ケー
ス内において前記ランプと近接配置された半透明
プラスチツクから成る第2光拡散板と、該第2光
拡散板と一定の間隔で平行に配置されると共に第
1光拡散板に対して均一な光を照射する半透明プ
ラスチツクから成る第3光拡散板とから成る液晶

よう反射ケース1の角孔1dに差し込まれて設け

る。従つて、該第2光拡散板8で拡散、透過され
た光は上述のように3mm程離れた第3光拡散板9
によつて更に拡散されることになるので、中央部
分の強い光を均一の照度にすることが出来、単一
のランプ3から発せられる光を反射ケース1内で
第1光拡散板4に照射し、液晶表示板6の背面を

置されると共に第1光拡散板に対して均一な光を
照射する半透明プラスチツクから成る第3光拡散
