(Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a sheet-shaped bath material that enhances the effectiveness of bathing by adding it to hot water in a bathtub. (Prior Art) Traditionally, bathing materials containing ingredients such as bath air fresheners have been added to bath water in order to enhance the benefits of bathing, such as a feeling of comfort, refreshment, or freedom. There is. Various forms of bathing materials are known, but those that float without sinking immediately after being poured into hot water are preferred in order to be aesthetically pleasing and to entertain viewers. ing. As a device having this property, a device using a water-soluble polymer molded product containing air bubbles has been proposed (Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 81432/1983). (Problem to be solved by the invention) However, with bath materials made of water-soluble polymer molded products containing bubbles, they float on the surface without sinking immediately after being poured into hot water, but when touched with wet hands, they float on the surface. There is a problem in that it tends to stick to hands, making it difficult to pour each piece into hot water. In addition, in order to make molded products containing air bubbles, a method is adopted in which an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble polymer is stirred in advance to include air bubbles in the solution, and then formed into a sheet shape using a solution casting method or the like. However, since the bubbles disappear over time, it is difficult to keep the density of the bubbles constant, and the stirring operation is also very troublesome. (Means for solving the problem) The present inventors have discovered that while maintaining sufficient solubility,
In order to obtain a sheet-like bath material that does not sink even immediately after being poured into hot water, does not easily stick to hands even when touched with wet hands, and can be obtained by a simple method,
As a result of extensive research, we have found that the above objectives can be achieved by creating a sheet-like molded product with an embossed pattern using a water-soluble polymer containing bath agent ingredients and having a thermal gelation temperature as a base material. This heading has led to the completion of the present invention. The form of the sheet-like bathing material in the present invention means a sheet-like material of any shape, and any material may be used as long as it is convenient to put into hot water in a bathtub during bathing. For example, it is preferable to have a circular shape, an oval shape, or one cut into the shape of a leaf or flower petal, and any size can be selected from about 1 cm to about 10 cm in diameter. Examples of water-soluble polymers used as a base material in the composition of the present invention include methylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, hydroxyethylmethylcellulose, and hydroxypropylcellulose. When the temperature of the aqueous solution thereof is increased, it thermally gels and becomes insoluble. In other words, it is required to have a thermal gelation temperature. This is because sheets containing bath agent ingredients obtained using these substances do not sink when placed in hot water at around 40°C, which is the bathing temperature, but have a remarkable property of floating on the surface. by. The reason for this is not necessarily clear, but it is thought that a substance having a thermal gelation temperature becomes less wettable as the temperature rises, and as a result becomes more likely to float on the surface of water. However, it cannot be said that this floating property is necessarily sufficient for sheets produced simply by ordinary methods, and it has been found that by applying an embossed pattern to this sheet, the floating property is significantly improved. Ta. This is thought to be due to the fact that air is trapped in the embossed pattern of the sheet, making it more difficult to get wet. The bath agent ingredients used in the present invention include perfumes such as cinnamon oil, cinnamon oil, geranium oil, citronella oil, rose oil, lavender oil, lemon oil, clove oil, bengamot oil, or extracts thereof; lanolin, liquid Bath oil ingredients that remain in a thin film on the skin surface after bathing, such as paraffin, olive oil, stialyl alcohol, and are used for purposes such as preventing water evaporation from the skin; glycerin, propylene glycol, sorbitol, polyethylene glycol, lactic acid sodium,
Moisturizers such as polypeptides used to provide and retain moisture to the skin; Red No. 2, Red No. 3, Red
Colorants such as No. 102, Blue No. 1, Blue No. 2, and Blue No. 4 are used alone or in combination of two or more. In addition to these bath agent components, various surfactants and detergents are used to improve solubility in molded products, prevent blocking when molded products are stacked, and improve mold releasability during casting. Sugars such as sugar and fructose can be added freely. These bath agent components or other additives are used in an amount of 0.1 to 200 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the water-soluble polymer having a thermal gelation temperature. The bath material of the present invention is produced by, for example, dissolving or uniformly dispersing a water-soluble polymer having a thermal gelation temperature, bath agent components, and other necessary components in water, casting it on the surface of a heated drum, etc., and drying it. A sheet-like molded product having an embossed pattern can be obtained by forming a sheet and applying embossing by roll processing, or by coating the surface of an embossed carrier sheet and peeling it off from the sheet surface after drying. The depth of this embossed pattern is determined to ensure buoyancy when the sheet material according to the present invention is placed in hot water.
From the standpoint of preventing adhesion when touched with wet hands,
For example, when applying embossing by roll processing, the depth of the pattern of the mold used is 70 to 300 μm.
When coating the surface of the embossed carrier sheet, it is preferable to use a coating having a pattern with a depth of 20 to 100 μm. The thickness of the obtained sheet-like molded product is usually preferably about 10 to 70 μm before embossing, and about 50 to 300 μm after embossing. This sheet-like molded product can be formed into any suitable shape by cutting or punching, or it can be perforated so that it can be cut to a suitable size for use. Hereinafter, specific embodiments of the present invention will be explained using Examples and Comparative Examples, but the present invention is not limited to these Examples. All parts in the examples are by weight. (Example) A liquid containing the following water-soluble polymer and each component listed in the table was casted on a glass plate and heated at 60°C.
A sheet-like molded product with a thickness of about 40 μm was obtained by drying it in a blow dryer and peeling it off. A part of this molded product was further passed through an embossing roll having a mesh pattern with a depth of about 150 μm to obtain a sheet having an embossed pattern with a total thickness of about 160 μm.
The first sheet before embossing thus obtained and the sheet with the embossed pattern were each punched into a petal shape with a maximum diameter of about 20 mm.
It was made into a sheet-like bath material. Using tweezers, take each sheet one by one and make approximately 40
The sheets were placed in hot water at ℃ and observed how they floated on the surface of the hot water and how each sheet adhered to wet hands.
The time from when these sheets started sinking to when they finished melting was measured, and the results are also listed in the table. Water-soluble polymer: Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., Metrose 60SH50,
Gelation temperature: approx. 55℃, abbreviated as HPMC) - Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose (same as before, Metrose SEB4000, gelation temperature: approx. 55℃, abbreviated as HPMC) - Polyvinyl alcohol (same as before, Shin-Etsu Poval P-18, abbreviated as PVA)・ Pullulan (manufactured by Hayashibara Biochemical Research Institute Co., Ltd., PI-20) ・ Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (manufactured by Daiichi Kogyo Seiyaku Co., Ltd., Celogen F-7A,

るという優れた性能を有する。[Table] As is clear from the results in the table, when a water-soluble polymer having a thermal gelation temperature is used, it does not have sufficient buoyancy when poured into hot water unless it is embossed. When it had an embossed pattern, its buoyancy was sufficient and it quickly dissolved after sinking. Moreover, even when touched with wet hands, there was almost no adhesion. However, when using water-soluble polymers that do not have a thermal gelation temperature, such as polyvinyl alcohol, pullulan, and sodium carboxymethylcellulose, even when using a polymer with an embossed pattern, the buoyancy was not sufficient. . (Effects of the Invention) The sheet-shaped bathing material according to the present invention does not stick to hands even when touched with wet hands, and is easy to handle. It also does not sink immediately when poured into hot water, and floats on the surface for a while, making it visually pleasing. It has excellent performance in that it dissolves in a short time when it sinks.
