Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は手を保護するために手に装着するもの
の分野に関し、特に親指のある靭帯の損傷を防止
するものに関する。
種々のスポーツ及びレクリエーシヨンにおいて
は各産業におけると同様に降下又はその他の場合
に手の親指がその他の指からはなれるように瞬間
的に曲げられることが多くの際に発生する。この
ような曲げは、親指の下方関節や掌骨指関節の周
りに接続されている尺骨側副縁靭帯を引伸ばすこ
ととなる。もしこのような靭帯の引伸ばしがはげ
しい場合には靭帯が破損し、しばしば靭帯自身で
いえることがなくなり外科手術によりその破損を
なおす必要がある。もし靭帯が破損していない場
合でも、そのような引伸ばしが繰返されると靭帯
がゆるみ関節の慢性的ぐらつきをもたらし関節炎
の原因となる。
これまでのほとんどの手袋等は、寒さや摩耗か
ら手を保護するためにのみ考慮されており、上記
のような靭帯損傷を防止することなどは全く考慮
されていなかつた。更に外科手術後の親指を保護
するために通常の方法としては厄介なせつこうを
使用するものであり、実際にはこのせつこうは６
〜８週間以上もこれを手にはめておくことは出来
ず、この間に靭帯が全治するのは困難なことが多
い。よつて親指の靭帯をより適切に保護するもの
が必要なのである。
尺骨側副縁靭帯への応力は、手袋の親指部分の
橈骨側へ取付けたリテイナによつて親指を橈骨側
への運動から有効に制限することにより、親指及
び手に通常の自由な運動を許しながらも、その応
力を大きく減じうることがわかつた。
好ましい具体例では、尺骨側副縁靭帯への応力
は、手袋の親指部分の外側へヒンジによつて接続
されている上下部分を有するリテイナを取付ける
ことによつて著しく減少出来る。そのため手袋を
手にはめ所定位置にリテイナを装着したとき、親
指の橈骨側への運動は制限され一方、親指の上部
関節は尺骨方向に正常に曲げられうるのである。
使用者の親指が手袋の該親指部分の所定位置にあ
り、リテイナが所定の位置に装着されたときに、
このリテイナは親指の掌骨指関節の橈骨側に伸長
しかつ該関節を形成している隣接する骨の実質的
部分上へ十分に延びるようになつており、これら
の骨が関節に関して橈骨側への運動を制限される
ようになつていてこれによつて尺骨側副縁靭帯を
傷つけるような親指の橈骨側への運動を防止して
いるのである。
別の好ましい具体例では、手袋の親指ポケツト
が手袋の残存部へひもにもつて接続されている。
使用時にはこのひもが引張られ親指ポケツトが手
袋の残存部へ隣接しそこへ保持され、これにより
親指ポケツトの曲げが防止され親指のみがその他
の指部分からはなれて曲がるということが阻止さ
れる。
他の具体例では、親指ポケツトが手袋の他の部
分へ全長にわたつて縫付けられている。また第４
の具体例では、手袋が独立した親指ポケツトを持
つことなく構成されている。第５の具体例は、親
指のみならず人差指も同時に包囲する親指ポケツ
トを有している。
各具体例において、本発明の手袋は、尺骨側副
縁靭帯の破損又は損失をもたらす親指の過酷な橈
骨側への運動を防止している。同時に使用者の手
はスキーストツクのような目的物を把持出来るの
である。
第１図には本発明の好ましい具体例が示してあ
る。手袋１０は、４本の指部分１２と、１本の親
指部分１４と、を有している。第２図によく示し
ているようなリテイナ２０が親指部分１４へ嵌合
し、かつ親指部分１４の先端１６から腕部１８ま
で伸長している。このリテイナ２０は親指の掌骨
指関節をおおいかつ該関節を形成している隣接す
る骨の実質的部分上へ広がる十分な長さを有して
いる。このリテイナ２０自体は、谷部分即ちトラ
フ部分２２と、カバー部分２４と、帯部分２６
と、から成つている。
谷部分２２は、ヒンジ３４によつて接続された
上部３０と下部３２とを有している。谷部分２２
は曲つており、その全長にわたり伸長している中
空部分３６を有している。この中空部分３６は手
袋１０の親指及び手の側面からその腕部１８まで
適合している。下部３２は、リテイナ２０が所定
位置にあるとき手袋の指部分１２の方向へ配置さ
れた側の縁４０付近にスリツト３８を有してい
る。谷部分２２はガラス繊維又はその他の容易に
成形出来るが軽量で硬化したときに可橈性を欠く
材料で作られる。
カバー部分２４は谷部分２２の側面に重なり、
上部３０の尺骨側を包囲し、手袋１０の親指部分
１４の先端１６を収容するに十分な大きさのポケ
ツト４２を形成している。カバー部分２４はまた
下部の３２の側面に重なつている。このカバー部
分２４は谷部分２２の下部３２にあるスリツト３
８に対応するスリツト４４を有している。谷部分
のヒンジ３４に重なつているカバーの部分３３は
可橈性をなしている。帯部分２６が谷部分２２及
びカバー２４のスリツト３８，４４へ取付けられ
ている。この帯２６は、リテイナ２０が所定位置
にあるとき手袋１０の下部周りに伸長する十分な
長さを有している。スリツト３８，４４に隣接し
た帯２６の部分４６及び帯２６の端部４８は繊維
製フアスナを有している。
リテイナ２０は、第３，４図に示すように手袋
１０の親指部分１４上に嵌合する。リテイナ２０
の下部は、手袋１０の周囲に帯２６をしつかり巻
付けかつ該帯をフアスナで固定することによつて
手袋へしつかり固定されている。リテイナ２０が
所定位置にあるとき、ヒンジ３４は親指の上下関
節に近接して位置づけられている。ヒンジ３４及
びこれに重なつているカバー２４の可橈性部分３
３は親指を尺骨方向に曲げることを可能としてい
る。靭帯へ損傷をもたらす親指の反対方向への運
動は、固定された谷部分２２がその方向における
親指の下方関接を形成している骨を基本的に固定
しているので防止される。この結果、尺骨側副縁
靭帯が十分に伸ばされることが出来ずその損傷が
防止される。
第５図には本発明による別の手袋５０が示して
ある。この手袋５０は指部分６０と親指ポケツト
６２と、を有している。図示の手袋は二又手袋の
形状に示してあるが各指毎の独立したポケツトを
有する手袋でもよい。
親指ポケツト６２は第１の孔６４と第２の孔６
６とを有している。更に別の孔も同様に使用出来
よう。孔６４は親指ポケツト６２の下部にて尺骨
側即ち親指以外の指側に配置されている。第２の
孔６６もまた親指ポケツト６２の尺骨側に設けて
あるが、親指ポケツト６２の上部付近に位置づけ
てある。第３の孔６８が指部分６０の側部（親指
側）に配置してある。
親指ポケツト６２の第１の孔６４又はその周辺
にはひも７０の一端が取付けられている。このひ
も７０は初めに第２の孔６６を通つて次に第３の
孔６８へ入つている。その後第１の孔６４を介し
てそこにねじ込まれている。使用時には手袋５０
は使用者の手の上に通常の方法で置かれている。
図示していない親指を親指ポケツト６２へ入れ他
指をの指部分６０へ入れる。その後、ひも７０を
矢印７０方向へ引おろす。こうして親指ポケツト
６２及び親指の尺骨側を指部分６０の側方部へ近
寄せる。次いでひもをそこに結びつけ親指ポケツ
ト６２を指部分６０へ対して固定する。かかる固
定により親指は他の指から独立して曲がることが
出来ず、尺骨側副縁靭帯へ損傷をもたらすことは
ない。
手袋５０の使用状態を第９図に示す。ここで親
指ポケツト６２は指部分６０へ取付けられている
が使用者はスキーストツク７２を把持出来てい
る。この場合親指は他の指と反対方向にてストツ
ク７２を把持する代りに他の指と一緒にストツク
７２の周りに曲げられている。
第６図には本発明の第３実施例が示してある。
本発明による手袋８０また指部分８２と親指ポケ
ツト８４とから成る。一連の孔８６（図には４個
のみを示す）が指部分８２の側方の下半分に沿つ
て延びている。同様の孔８８（図には４個のみを
示す）が親指ポケツト８４の尺骨側に延びてい
る。ひも９０がこれらの孔８６，８８を有効的に
ぬつており、手袋の他の部分へ対して親指ポケツ
ト８４を固着させている。
本発明の第４実施例が第７図に示してある。こ
の具体例による手袋１００は、親指を含む全ての
指が入る単一のポケツト１０２から成つている。
絶縁体１０４が親指及びその他の指を取囲んでい
る。前述の具体例のように、親指は他の指からは
なれて曲げられることは出来ず尺骨側副縁靭帯を
損傷することはない。
第５実施例が第８図に示してある。この具体例
の手袋１１０は、第１ポケツト１１２と、第２ポ
ケツト１１４とから成り、両者は開口１１８にて
分断されている。使用時には、第１ポケツト１１
２が３本の指を、第２ポケツト１１４が親指と人
差指とを包囲する。絶縁体１１６が図示のように
第２ポケツト１１４へ設けてある。使用時には親
指を人差指からはなして橈骨方向に曲げるという
ことが出来ないので親指の尺骨側副縁靭帯への力
は防止される。
他の変形例は当業者において容易になし得よ
う。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 手袋であつて、手袋使用者の親指の尺骨側副
    縁靭帯への損傷を防止するため、手袋の親指ポケ
    ツトへ使用する取外し自在なリテイナを有してい
    る手袋にして、該リテイナが、(a)下部と上部とか
    ら成り、これら下部及び上部が互いに一方向に運
    動できるヒンジ手段によつて接続されている谷部
    分と、(b)該谷部分の上部上方にポケツトを形成し
    かつ該谷部分のヒンジ手段に近接した可撓性部分
    を有している、前記谷部分のためのカバー部分
    と、（ｃ）手袋へ該リテイナを固定するための固
    定手段と、を有している手段。 ２ 装着者の親指が該手袋の親指部分内にあると
    き、前記ヒンジ手段が装着者の親指の上部関節の
    上方の、装着者の親指の該上方を尺骨方向に曲げ
    うるようにしてある特許請求の範囲第１項に記載
    の手袋。 ３ 装着者の親指が該手袋の親指部分内にあると
    き、前記リテイナが親指の掌骨指関節上に伸長
    し、かつ前記指関節を形成している隣接する骨の
    実質的部分上に伸長する充分な長さを有し、前記
    指関節に関し前記骨を橈骨側へほぼ移動不能と
    し、これにより親指の尺骨側副縁靭帯を傷つける
    ような親指の橈骨方向への運動を防止している特
    許請求の範囲第１項に記載の手袋。 ４ 前記谷部分の上部及び下部が独立した谷部か
    ら成り、これらの谷部が、前記リテイナが所定位
    置にあるときに、装着者の親指の橈骨側即ち外側
    に配置されかつ該親指のほぼ先端から装着者の腕
    部まで伸長している特許請求の範囲第１項に記載
    の手袋。 ５ 前記カバー部分が前記ヒンジ手段に対抗して
    配置された可橈性部分を有している特許請求の範
    囲第１項に記載の手袋。 ６ 前記固定手段が前記谷部分へ接続された帯紐
    から成り、該帯紐が手袋の腕部周囲に適合するよ
    うになつている特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の手
    袋。
