2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, as a material for artificial hair used for wigs, hair wigs, false hair, hair bands, etc., fibers containing saturated polyester as a main component, such as polyethylene terephthalate, have excellent tensile strength and heat resistance. It has come to be widely used in terms of good set retention. When using fibers containing saturated polyester as the main component as artificial hair, in addition to properties such as easy setting, set retention, combability, and little discoloration due to light, it also has an appropriate matting property similar to human hair. Although a color is required, the polyester fiber produced by a conventional method as it is has a flat yarn surface and a high light refractive index, and therefore has a strong surface gloss and cannot be applied to artificial hair. In order to improve this point, a matting technique for the surface of polyester fiber has been conventionally proposed. For example, a method is known in which a large number of scratches are generated on the surface of a polyester fiber to roughen the surface to obtain matte artificial hair. However, the matte fiber obtained by this method has a drawback that the strength of the fiber is lowered due to scratches generated on the surface of the fiber. Further, JP-A-63-12716 discloses a polyester for artificial hair in which a polyester fiber containing fine particles containing silicon oxide as a main component is treated with an alkaline aqueous solution to form specific fine irregularities on the fiber surface. Fibers and methods of making the same are disclosed. However, the fibers obtained by this method are inferior in the matte state because the surface irregularities are fine and uniform, and it is recognized that they show strong light reflection when receiving light from an oblique direction. ,
Its use as artificial hair was restricted.

The maximum length and the number of the openings of the concave portions existing on the surface of the filament of the present invention per unit area are determined by using an S-4000 field emission scanning electron microscope manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd. It is measured from a photograph obtained by taking 10 fields of view of the surface at a magnification of 500 times.
On the surface of the polyester filament that constitutes the artificial hair of the present invention, there are 0.1 to 10 recesses having a maximum opening length (diameter in the longitudinal direction) of 2 μm or more and 30 μm or less per 100 μm of the yarn surface area. Is essential. Even if the number of recesses present on the yarn surface is 0.1 to 10 per 100 μm of the surface area of the yarn, if the maximum length of the opening of the recess is less than 2 μm, the matting effect becomes insufficient. However, the object of the present invention cannot be achieved. When the maximum length of the opening of the recess is larger than 30 μm, the surface roughness becomes visible to the naked eye, and further the physical properties of the yarn are deteriorated, which is not preferable for the purpose of the present invention. On the other hand, even if the maximum length of the opening of the recess existing on the yarn surface is in the range of 2 μm or more and 30 μm or less, the matting effect is insufficient if the number of the recess is less than 0.1 per 100 μm of the yarn surface area. Therefore, the object of the present invention cannot be achieved. If the number of recesses is more than 10 per 100 μm of the surface area of the yarn, the physical properties of the yarn are deteriorated and it cannot be used preferably as artificial hair. Here, it is preferable that 0.01 or more concave portions having a maximum opening length of 10 μm or more are present on the filament surface per 100 square μm of the yarn surface area because the matting effect becomes more remarkable.

The recesses on the surface of the filament of the present invention may be formed by any method, for example, obtained by melt spinning polyester chips such as polyethylene terephthalate (hereinafter referred to as PET) and polybutylene terephthalate (hereinafter referred to as PBT). Further, it is possible to collide inorganic particles or the like with the surface of the filament to form the concave portion, but the operation and control become complicated. More efficiently, a known method such as adding a slurry in which inert particles are dispersed in a glycol component such as ethylene glycol or 1,4-butanediol before or during the polycondensation reaction of polyester and polycondensing The average particle size obtained in 1. is 1 μm or more,
Inert particles of 10 μm or less, 0.1 wt% or more, 10
It can be obtained by melt spinning and stretching a polyester chip such as PET or PBT containing not more than wt% by a conventional method, and then treating the filament in an alkaline liquid (hereinafter referred to as N treatment). The N treatment is usually carried out by immersing the filament in a 1 wt% to 25 wt% NaOH aqueous solution and treating it at 60 ° C. to 100 ° C. for several minutes to several tens of minutes to reduce the weight. At this time, the weight reduction of the filament by the N treatment is appropriately 1 to 12% by weight with respect to the weight of the filament before the N treatment. In this case, the average particle diameter of the inert particles contained in the polyester is measured using CAPA-500 manufactured by Horiba, Ltd. The content of the inert particles is preferably 0.1% by weight or more and 10% by weight or less from the viewpoint of the matting effect after N treatment and the physical properties of the filament. The average particle size is preferably 1 μm or more and 10 μm or less from the viewpoint of the matting effect after N treatment and the physical properties of the filament.

The inert particles contained in the polyester may be organic particles or inorganic particles, for example, oxides of calcium carbonate, silicon oxide, titanium oxide, aluminum oxide, calcium phosphate, calcium monohydrogen phosphate, phosphoric acid. Phosphates such as calcium dihydrogen, potassium phosphate, potassium monohydrogen phosphate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, antimony phosphate, and sulfates such as barium sulfate and calcium sulfate,
Crosslinked polystyrene and the like can be mentioned, but particularly cohesive particles or spherical monodisperse particles in which fine particles mainly composed of silicon oxide and having a primary particle size of several tens to several hundreds nm are aggregated and the filament is easy to handle. It is preferable from the viewpoint of the color development of the artificial hair made of When cohesive silicon oxide particles are used, concave portions having various shapes can be formed on the surface of the filament, and the dye also penetrates into the particles present in the filament at the time of dyeing. It is possible to prevent so-called "whitening". On the other hand, when spherical monodisperse silicon oxide particles are used, the shape and size of the recesses on the surface become relatively uniform, and therefore, by selecting the particles, a matting effect suitable for the purpose can be exhibited. Further, the aggregating silicon oxide particles and the monodisperse silicon oxide particles can be used properly or in combination. Further, two or more kinds of the various particles described above can be appropriately combined and used.

The polyester filament having concave portions of the present invention can be used as it is as artificial hair, but if necessary, it is subjected to a dyeing treatment. Although disperse dyes can be used as the dye, those having a light fastness of grade 5 or higher are preferred because the artificial hair during use is less discolored or discolored. Further, for dyeing, a known dyeing carrier agent may be used in combination, but high pressure dyeing which does not require a dyeing carrier agent is preferable. In addition, carbon black or various pigments may be added to the polyester filament before dyeing. In this case, not only the dye at the time of dyeing can be saved, but also dyeing does not have to be performed depending on the use, which is preferable. It is a thing.

It was dried at 0 ° C. for 8 hours. Using a spinning machine having an extruder-type kneader, a measuring gear pump, and a filter layer composed of 50-mesh glass beads and 150-mesh wire mesh at 290 ° C., the chips were spun into holes with a diameter of 0.3 mm to 3 mm.
It was melt-spun from a spinneret having 0 holes, then stretched to a total of 5.0 times, further subjected to a relaxation treatment of 8%, and then wound. Next, N treatment (NaOH 50 g / l aqueous solution, 98 ° C., 30 minutes) was added to this monofilament to obtain a polyester filament having a weight reduction rate of 7 wt% by N treatment. On the yarn surface of the obtained polyester filament, the maximum length of the opening is 2 μm or more and 30 μm or more.
There were 0.6 recesses of m or less per 100 μm of the surface area of the yarn. Among the recesses, 0.02 of the openings having a diameter in the longitudinal direction of 10 μm or more were present per 100 μm of the surface area of the yarn. The yarn strength was 3.8 g / denier and the yarn diameter was 58 μm. This filament was dyed using a high pressure Smith dyeing machine with the following dye solution under the conditions of a bath ratio of 20: 1 and 130 ° C. for 60 minutes, and then hydrosulfite 1.5 g / l and caustic soda 1 g. / L, amylazine 1 g / l in an aqueous solution (bath ratio 20: 1) at 80 ° C for 20 minutes for reduction cleaning,
