る。 Conventionally, in lead-acid batteries consisting of multiple cells in which a group of electrode plates is housed in a cell chamber defined by partition walls in a battery case, a suitable pressure is applied to the group of electrode plates to prevent the active material from falling off. This improves the lifespan of batteries. Therefore, it is necessary to assemble the storage battery while keeping this pressure constant at all times, but since the thickness of the electrode plates and separators are different and vary, it is impossible to assemble the predetermined number of electrode plates and separators. Even if it were used, it was difficult to maintain a constant pressure on the electrode plate group. Therefore, the pressure of the electrode plate group is measured in advance with a pressure measuring device, and the insufficient pressure is captured by the interposition of a spacer, and the electrode group is housed in a battery case under constant pressure. This is what we are doing.

Apply a force of gravity equal to the specified pressure applied to the At this time, measure the distance between the upper and lower PVC plates, and if the distance is the same as the width of the cell chamber of the storage battery to be stored, leave it as is; if it is shorter, insert the desired number of spacers to increase the width of the cell chamber. By indirectly measuring the pressure of the electrode plate group so that the pressure is the same as that of the electrode plate group and adding the required number of spacers to the electrode plate group and storing it in the cell chamber and assembling the storage battery, the pressure applied to the electrode plate group can be constantly maintained. It is held constant.

するものであつた。 However, when using this method, the height of the electrode plate group is measured with a caliper, etc., which tends to cause errors in reading, and the thickness of the electrode plate varies depending on its position. The vinyl chloride plate placed on this surface tends to tilt, which makes it impossible to apply pressure evenly, and the influence of the container partition wall etc. is ignored, making it inaccurate. Furthermore, it has disadvantages such as being time consuming and having poor workability.

る。 According to Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 57-25677, a group of electrode plates assembled in a predetermined configuration is stored in an electrolyte-resistant bag, and both sides of the group of electrode plates are applied by operating a handle from outside the bag. It has been proposed to inject electrolyte into the bag after applying pressure and measure the pressure applied to the electrode group.

特徴とするものである。 The present invention has been made as a result of extensive research aimed at improving these drawbacks, and has developed a method for measuring the pressure of the electrode plates in a state where the electrode plates are housed in each cell chamber in the battery case. That is, the method of the present invention does not store the electrode plate group in only one cell chamber among a predetermined number of cell chambers partitioned into a battery case, but instead applies a load to the cell chamber that is approximately the same as the thickness of the cell chamber. After stacking transducers or plate-shaped bodies for pressure measurement and thickness adjustment to store identical load transducers closely together, attaching a pressure measurement device to the load transducer and measuring the plate group pressure in the cell. , the electrode group pressure is maintained at a predetermined pressure by press-fitting a spacer at a desired position within the cell to compensate for the pressure shortage.
