Conventionally, the mechanism that holds the shoji open in casement windows, etc., is installed between the stile and the window frame separately from the handle that opens and closes it, but with this structure, the holding mechanism is linked to the handle. Because there is no shoji, the operation must be performed twice when opening the shoji.

This holding mechanism reciprocates the belt by rotating the handle, rotates one end of the arm, and uses a universal joint to transmit rotational force to the arm regardless of the opening angle of the shoji, and the rotational force is applied to the outer circumference of the arm. The open state is maintained by locking a provided pin into a groove in the cylinder, but since a universal joint is used, there is a limit to the opening angle, and a holding mechanism is provided within the arm, which requires a large number of parts. There are some inconveniences such as

In this invention, one end of the arm 1 is pivotally supported on the stile D that constitutes the shoji C using a bracket 4, and the other end of the arm 1 is slidably inserted into a locking block 3 fixed to the window frame E. A wire 5 is arranged between a handle A provided on the stile and the arm 1, and by rotating the handle A, the wire 5 is tensioned so that the shoji C can be opened and closed, and by rotating the handle A in the opposite direction, the wire 5 is In the window B, in which the shoji C is kept open at a predetermined angle by relaxing the shoji C, a rod 2 is slidably inserted into the arm 1, and a wire 5 is connected to the end of the rod 2 on the side of the bracket 4. At the same time, the spring 6 urges the rod 2 from the bracket 4 side to the locking block 3 side, thereby forming a tapered insertion hole 1a that expands toward the surface of the arm 1 at a required distance in the length direction of the arm 1. A locking groove 2a having a tapered surface expanding toward the surface in the biasing direction of the spring 6 is provided at the same position as the insertion hole 1a of the arm 1 of the rod 2 when the wire 5 is in a relaxed state. A locking pin 3b biased by a locking spring 3a is built into the locking block 3, and this locking pin 3b
When the wire 5 is relaxed, it is inserted into a predetermined insertion hole 1a of the arm 1 and locked in the locking groove 2a of the rod 2, and when the wire 5 is tensed, it is pressed against the tapered surface of the locking groove 2a and released from the locking groove 2a. This is a window shoji holding device characterized in that it is adapted to be moved.

As shown in the figure, a wire 5 for transmitting the rotational force of the handle A to the arm 1 is disposed inside the frame D.
One end is connected to the handle A, and the other end is connected to the rod 2 in the arm 1. For example, it is connected to a pulley A' connected to the handle A so that it is pulled when the handle A is rotated, and tension and relaxation are switched by the rotation of the handle A. The wire 5 is guided into the stile D by a sheath 8, as shown in FIG.

This rod 2 is biased from the bracket 4 side to the locking block 3 side by a spring 6 installed in the arm 1, and under normal conditions, the pin 1b (described later) is locked in the guide groove 2b by this spring 6. Then, the arm 1 returns to the state where it abuts against the cap 7 which is placed over the end of the window frame E side.

As shown in FIG. 3, the locking pin 3b of the locking block 3, which will be described later, is inserted into the locking block 3 side of the arm 1 and the rod 2, and there is an insertion hole 1a that expands toward the surface of the arm 1 to be locked. A locking groove 2a having a tapered surface that expands toward the surface in the biasing direction of the spring 6 is provided at the same position as the insertion hole 1a at a distance in the length direction. The insertion hole 1a and the locking groove 2a are provided in the same position when the rod 2 has returned to its normal position, overlapping each other as shown in FIG. Stop groove 2
The side surfaces in the longitudinal direction are tapered so that locking to the locking groove 2a and releasing from the locking groove 2a can be smoothly performed.

Conversely, to release the locking pin 3b, fold down the handle A and pull the wire 5 toward the handle A,
By moving the rod 2 toward the bracket 4, the locking pin 3b is pressed by the tapered side surface of the locking groove 2a and pushed out of the rod 2 and further out of the arm 1. At this time, the arm 1 is in a state where it can freely slide on the locking block 3, and the shoji C is in a state where it can be freely opened and closed.

This idea is as described above, and a rod is slidably fitted into the inside of the arm, a wire is connected to the end of the rod on the bracket side, and the rod is biased toward the locking block side by a spring, and is pressed against the surface of the arm. A locking groove is provided with a tapered insertion hole that expands in the direction in which the spring is biased, and a locking groove that has a tapered surface that expands toward the surface in the direction in which the spring is biased. A built-in pin is designed so that when the wire is relaxed, it fits into a specified insertion hole in the arm and is locked in the locking groove of the rod, and when the wire is tensed, it is pressed against the tapered surface of the locking groove and released from the locking groove. Therefore, the shoji is locked and released using the tension of the wire and the bias of the spring, and is done only by rotating the handle, which simplifies the force transmission mechanism and simplifies the overall structure. will be done.

Furthermore, since the arm is rotatably installed between the stile and the window frame, there is no limit to the opening angle of the shoji, and the shoji can be kept open at a relatively arbitrary position.
