The water stored in the bathtub is sucked through the suction port by the suction force. At this time, since the water flow is on a horizontal plane, there is no resistance due to natural convection and the water is drawn in smoothly. While the high temperature water and the stored water are mixed in the ejector passage, the flow changes from parallel flow to the bathtub wall to cross flow, and heads toward the discharge port.
Then, it is ejected as a downward flow through the discharge passage within the bathtub.

Reference numeral 3 denotes an adapter tube, which has a substantially U-shaped cross section, has a suction port 4 at one end, a discharge port 5 at the other end, and connects both openings with an ejector passage 6. The adapter pipe 3 is attached to the bathtub wall 1 so that both openings are arranged horizontally in parallel, and is tightened and fixed with a nut 7. Reference numeral 8 denotes a discharge pipe connected to a water heater (not shown) that supplies high-temperature water, and is inserted from the end of the ejector passage 6 on the suction port 4 side in the axial direction of the passage, and its tip generates an ejector effect. It is narrowed down to Reference numeral 9 indicates a pressure detection tube inserted into the ejector passage 6 from above, and reference numeral 10 indicates a temperature detector inserted from below, and the discharge pipe 8, pressure detection tube 9, and temperature detector 10 are all inserted parallel to one surface of the bathtub wall. It is something. Reference numeral 11 denotes a cover, which includes a discharge passage 12 that directs the discharge flow downward, and a suction passage 13 that directs the suction flow upward.
are formed, and are fixed with screws 15 to a fixing plate 14 which is fixed together with nuts 7. Both passages 12 and 13 are obliquely separated from each other as they go downward. 16 is Patsukin.

る。 The operation of the above configuration will be explained. When the bathtub is empty, hot water at a set temperature is supplied from a water heater (not shown), and the hot water is filled through the discharge pipe 8 through the discharge port 5 and the discharge passage 12. When the water level reaches the set level, it is detected by a pressure detector (not shown) connected to the pressure detection tube 9.
Stop the hot water supply. If hot water that is lower than the set temperature is stored in the bathtub at a higher water level than the water level of the connecting device body 2, and you want to raise the temperature to the set temperature using high-temperature water, supply high-temperature water (e.g. 80℃) from the water heater. , and is discharged from the discharge pipe 8. As a result, the water stored in the ejector passage 6 is sucked. The sucked stored water flows in the ejector passage 6 parallel to the bathtub wall 1 while mixing with high-temperature water, and then flows in a direction perpendicular to the bathtub wall 1 toward the discharge port 5. The water then hits the cover 11, flows downward along the discharge passage 12, and is ejected into the bathtub. By bending the flow in this way, mixing is promoted, the water is discharged at a temperature that is not dangerous to the human body, and the temperature of the water in the bathtub is equalized above and below. On the other hand, the low-temperature hot water stored in the lower part of the bathtub is sucked through the suction passage 13 and guided to the ejector passage 6. However, this flow does not go against the natural circulation caused by temperature differences, and because there is no resistance, it flows extremely smoothly. Therefore, a sufficient amount of stored water can be secured to be sucked into the high-temperature water, and the dilution of the high-temperature water is facilitated, and the generation of water passing noise is reduced.

0 and the pressure detection tube 9 will be described below. Since the connecting device main body 2 is attached to the bathtub wall 1 so that the ejector passage 6 is horizontal,
The discharge pipe 8 can be inserted parallel to the bathtub wall 1 (horizontally). That is, even if the adapter pipe 3 is close to the bathroom wall, the connection work can be carried out with hands.
Moreover, the temperature detector 10 and the pressure detection tube 9 can also be inserted parallel to the bathtub wall 1 (in the vertical direction). In this case, as long as there is a space where you can put your hand in, you can make connections without drilling holes in the wall or moving the bathtub.

This improves the flow of the stored water that is sucked in, promoting mixing and reducing noise generation. Furthermore, when installing the device, it requires less space to protrude from the bathtub wall and can be accommodated within the bathtub apron, making effective use of bathroom space and making it easier to connect piping and accessories. It is.
