In this conventional elevator monitoring device, the amount of image data obtained by photographing with the camera provided in the car is large, and the transmission of the image data cannot be completed in a short time. Response to abnormal situations may be delayed. In particular, if abnormal situations occur simultaneously or consecutively in elevators installed in a plurality of buildings, the response will be further delayed. If the response to the occurrence of the abnormal situation is delayed in this way, the passenger in the car may panic and a serious accident may occur due to the delay.
