BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an outdoor unit of a multi-chamber air conditioner, in which water, which is obtained by dissolving frost adhering to a heat exchanger during heating operation in a defrosting operation, stays in the vicinity of the heat exchanger for a long time. The present invention relates to a structure for preventing stagnation and freezing.

In the prior art described above, since the dew tray of the upper heat exchanger is a flat plate, defrosting water easily stays for a long time, and when the heating operation is performed while the defrosting water stays, heat exchange is performed. Defrosting water in contact with or close to the vessel freezes, and during repeated defrosting and heating operations, ice grows and fills the gaps in the heat exchanger, significantly reducing the capacity of the heat exchanger. Since the amount of frost adhering to the heat exchanger differs depending on the outside temperature condition, it is not possible to quantitatively set the time to restart the heating operation after the defrost water has completely drained from the dew tray. It takes a long time. Also, since the drainage pipe is close to the heat exchanger in the lower stage, if the heat exchanger in the lower stage is performing heating operation and drainage treatment is being performed when the heat exchanger surface is at a low temperature, the distribution pipe There was a problem that the drainage water was frozen inside and the drainage pipe was clogged.

Reference numeral 1 is an outdoor unit body, which is a base 2, an outer box 3,
4, 5 and the top plate 6. Reference numeral 7 denotes a partition plate that partitions the outdoor unit main body into left and right parts. The partition plate separates the left side into a heat exchange chamber 8 and the right side into a machine room 9, for example. The machine room 9 is composed of a base 2, outer boxes 4,5, partition plates 7, and a top plate 6, and joints of each part are sealed by a sealing member or the like to prevent moisture from entering from the outside such as rainfall. It has become. In the machine room 9, two compressors 11 and 12 are installed on the base, and above the compressors 11 and 12 and blowers 13 and 14 fixed to the partition plate 7 and the outer box 4.
An electric box 10 is provided for accommodating electric parts for individually controlling the electric power. If a component in the machine room fails for some reason, the fault can be easily diagnosed and the component can be replaced by removing only the outer box 4.

The heat exchanger chamber 8 includes a dew tray 15 and an upper and lower partition plate 1.
6 is divided into an upper heat exchange chamber 8a and a lower heat exchange chamber 8b. The dew tray 15 is provided between the upper and lower heat exchangers 18 and 19, and is formed on the box so as to surround the upper heat exchanger 18 and has a shape substantially similar to the planar shape of the heat exchanger. Elevating part 1 in the upwind direction of 18 (wind flows from A to B direction)
5a is formed close to the heat exchanger, and the rising portion 15b in the leeward direction is formed at a position separated by at least twice the width of the heat exchanger, and the width of the heat exchanger 18 in the wind flow direction is almost the same. A step 15c is provided at the center. This step is not formed in a step-like manner, but the high and low portions are continuously provided with a gradient 15d so that the defrosting water can easily flow, and a hole for draining the defrosting water of the upper heat exchanger 18 is formed. One or several heat exchangers are provided separately. Here, since a step is provided from the vicinity of the center of the heat exchanger 18, it also functions as a base for supporting the heat exchanger 18, and the dew tray 15 also functions as a partition that divides the upper and lower parts. Blower fan motors 13a, 14a
Is fixed to a column 17 fixed to the base 2 and the outer box 3, and is connected to the electric items in the electric box 10 and can be controlled independently. Fan for blower 1
3b and 14b are blower fan motors 13a and 14a
It is fixed to each. The heat exchangers 18 and 19 are fixed to the outer boxes 3 and 4 and the partition plate 7, and the compressor 1
1, 12 are respectively connected to form individual refrigeration cycles. The partition plate 16 is fixed to the dew tray 15 and the partition plate 7, and a portion overlapping with the support 17 is cut out so that it can be easily removed from the front surface. The lower heat exchanger 19 is arranged so that its upper end is stepped according to the shape of the step of the dew tray 15 and contacts the bottom surface of the dew tray 15, so that the dew tray 15 and the heat exchanger 19 are arranged. Even if a gap is created, the step acts as a barrier and the air does not flow without contacting the heat exchanger, so that heat can be effectively exchanged. Further, reference numerals 20 and 21 denote fan guards for preventing the hand from touching the fan, which are formed by concentrically forming wires and fixing them to the outer box 3, or by processing the outer box 3 on a net. 22 is an indoor unit (not shown)
At the pipe connection with the compressors 11 and 12 and the heat exchanger 19,
It is connected to 19.

The outdoor unit having the above-mentioned structure is composed of two independent refrigerating cycles and electric components for individually controlling the compressors 11 and 12 and the blowers 13 and 14, respectively, and a corresponding indoor unit (not shown). ) Connected with two units. Therefore, since the operation control of the two air conditioners can be performed individually and independently, simultaneous operation of cooling or heating and independent operation are possible, and simultaneous operation in an operation mode different from cooling and heating is possible.
Even in the room facing south due to the change of seasons, even in the room facing north, heating and defrosting operations can be performed in the room facing north, and it is possible to respond flexibly to changes in the outside temperature. Further, since the heat exchange chamber 8 of the outdoor unit is formed independently, there is no reduction in the capacity during simultaneous operation, which is often the case with a multi-room air conditioner.

As described above, according to the present invention, the water in which the frost adhering during the heating operation is melted during the defrosting operation can be quickly discharged to the stepped portion of the dew tray 15 and discharged to the outside. Since the time staying in the vicinity of the vessel portion 18 can be minimized, the defrost water does not freeze and grow when the heating operation is restarted. Therefore, the heat exchanger is always ensured that the air flows through all the parts, and the heat exchange can be performed efficiently, and the best heating operation can always be performed.
Even the simultaneous heating operation is possible.
