Sheet of expanded wire mesh (expanded metal) and others 1
It is known that the stretched wire netting sheet or the wire mesh sheet or one of the thin plate-like laminated sheets is formed by contacting the extended wire netting sheets and superposing them on each other. 1 mm, mesh number 10
There is also one formed by stacking two wire meshes of about 0.

The purpose of using two sheet-like base materials in contact with each other and overlapping them is to bring two sheet-like base materials into contact with each other and superimpose them on each other so as to generate a capillary attraction between the contact surfaces. It is a thing. When the two sheet-shaped base materials are brought into contact with each other and superposed on each other in this manner, the larger the area of the contact portion is, the stronger the capillary attraction is and the wider the liquid is diffused.

This kind of packing material is packed in a tower, and a liquid and a gas are made to flow countercurrently from above and below to bring them into contact with each other.
Alternatively, heat exchange is performed, and normally, liquid flows downward from above and gas flows upward from below. Since the liquid has a lower diffusivity when compared with a liquid and a gas, the diffusibility of the liquid has been a problem in this type of filler. Therefore,
Although various methods have been devised, the above-mentioned sheet-shaped substrate
One of them is a method of contacting and stacking them to obtain a capillary attraction. As another method of generating a capillary attraction force, there is also a filler in which lateral lines are sequentially brought into contact with each other depending on the weaving method of one wire netting sheet, and thereby a capillary attraction force is generated.

When the stretched wire netting sheet according to the present invention and another laminated sheet are brought into contact with each other and overlapped with each other, when the spread wire netting sheet has a small opening, the capillary attraction is strong, but the opening is The larger it is, the weaker it tends to be. This is because the contact area per unit area is small. Another important thing for these fillers to function is to take many stages or surfaces for the contact of gas and liquid. However, taking a large number of surfaces does not mean an increase in the mechanical surface area of simply making one sheet-shaped substrate into two pieces, but an increase in the surface area that allows gas and liquid to come into contact with each other. I won't. Conventionally, this kind of 2
In a stack of fillers, in order to exert a strong capillary attraction, the openings must be small. For example, in the case of wire mesh, the openings are about 100 mesh, and as a result, the liquid is 2 Since the gas is held between the contact surfaces of the two sheet-shaped base materials and the gas can contact the liquid only at the outer side of the two sheet-shaped base materials, even if the two sheets are stacked, the surface having the two sheets is substantially gas. There is a problem that cannot be provided for contact with the liquid. Therefore, even if the opening is enlarged and gas is introduced into the contact surface, the attraction of the capillary is decreased and the diffusion of the liquid is hindered.

The present inventors have conducted research to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art. As a result, it is possible to solve the problem by bringing the stretched wire mesh sheet into contact with another sheet-like base material and compressing the top portion formed at the joint of the stretched wire mesh sheet to reduce the gap generated when they are overlapped. It was discovered that the improvement of the performance of the filler according to the present invention was realized.

The effect of the present invention will be described in more detail. In the conventional filler of this type, one of the effects of bringing two sheet-like base materials into contact with each other and stacking them is as follows.
By bringing the sheet-like base material into surface contact, it is possible to generate capillary attraction in the form of surface. When a capillary attraction is generated on a surface, the liquid spreads on all sides of the surface, so that the diffusion of the liquid that is especially required for these fillings can be achieved.

More specifically, in the case of the stretched wire netting sheet according to the present invention, even if the opening areas per unit area are the same, there are a plurality of openings rather than one opening, and the number of contact points is increased. It is possible to increase the capillary attraction. The other aim is to increase the stage for gas-liquid contact, that is, the surface area. When two sheet-like base materials are brought into contact with each other and superposed on each other, the surface area is increased in the sense that only one sheet becomes two sheets. The problem remains in terms of increasing the contact surface area of the liquid.

When the opening of the stretched wire mesh sheet is small, for example, when the extension direction is 0.2 mm or less and the direction intersecting the extension direction is 0.5 mm or less, the diffusion of the liquid due to the generation of the capillary attraction can be achieved. As for the contact between gas and liquid, the liquid diffused by the capillary attraction is often diffused inside the contact surface of the sheet-shaped substrate, so that the liquid is held in the open eyes, The liquid contact is performed only on the outer side of the stretched wire mesh sheet. In this case, the gas cannot reach the contact surface and the inside of the opening, that is, it cannot be said that stacking two sheets directly increases the contact area.

1. Increase the opening of the stretch wire mesh sheet. In this case, it is presumed that, in the case of another laminated sheet, when the sheet has an opening, the opening is smaller than that of the stretched wire mesh sheet. In practice, the opening of the stretched wire mesh sheet is preferably about 0.5 mm in the extending direction and about 1 mm in the direction intersecting with the extending direction.

2. The occupancy rate per unit area of the wire mesh portion of the stretched wire mesh sheet is reduced, in other words, the wire mesh is thinned to reduce the amount of liquid retained in the contact portion between the two sheets and to reduce gas. Make it reach the inside of the open eye.

3. In combination with the items 2 and 3, the sheet thickness of the stretched wire netting sheet is increased to increase the surface area. In practice, the maximum is about 0.5 mm. This is because the liquid may not reach the tip even if the amount is further increased.

As can be seen from FIGS. 1 to 5, the stretched wire mesh sheet is formed by stretching a sheet-shaped base material having slits in a zigzag arrangement in the direction of arrow A, and therefore the direction of the opening is relative to the sheet-shaped base material. And becomes a right angle. As a result, a joint 4 is formed between the opening 3 and the opening 3 ', and an upper line 5 and a lower line 6 are formed. When this is continuously stretched over the entire sheet, the shape cross section shown in FIG. 4 is exhibited. As a result, the gap 9 shown in FIG. 5 is produced.

In order to improve the contact between gas and liquid when the stretched wire mesh sheet and other laminated sheets are brought into contact with each other and laminated, the opening of the stretched wire mesh sheet is 0.2 mm in the extending direction in the present invention. As described above, 0.
Although it is set to 5 mm or more, as for the openings of other laminated sheets that come into contact with each other, when the laminated sheet has an opening or a mesh, the total area of the openings of the stretched wire mesh sheet is the sheet-like substrate. It is a premise of the present invention that the size is always larger than the total area of the openings or meshes. This is because the combination of two sheet-like base materials is the basis for improving the performance of the filler in the present invention. This is because the effect of the present invention is completely lost if the total area of the openings or lines of the other laminated sheets is larger than that of the stretched wire mesh sheet. Also, if the opening is increased, the occupancy rate per unit area of the sheet base material is reduced by that ratio, which leads to a decrease in the contact area.
This can be compensated for by increasing the sheet thickness. However, when the aperture is actually increased and the thickness is increased, a decrease in capillary attraction is induced. It is the above-mentioned gap 9 that induces this decrease in capillary attraction.
Is. Since this gap exists, the contact portion per unit area decreases when the opening is increased, and the increase in the sheet thickness also increases the gap 9, which causes a decrease in capillary attraction. When the small opening and the sheet thickness are small, there are many contact portions and the gap 9 is small, so it is possible to generate a certain amount of capillary attraction, but the opening becomes large and the sheet thickness increases. This causes a problem.

In the present invention, as shown in FIG. 6, the top portion 10 at the joint 4 of the stretched wire mesh sheet is compressed or cut to reduce the gap 9 to increase the capillary attraction force. Regarding the reduction of the gap 9, if it is understood from the viewpoint that the reduction of the gap 9 until it disappears is an increase of the capillary attraction, the diffusion of the liquid can be achieved by the capillary attraction, but it can be captured from the flow of the liquid. On the contrary, since it may hinder the flow, it is more effective to keep the gap of 0.01 mm or more in practice. Further, the reduction of the gap due to the compression can cause the collapse of the sheet base material 11 due to the compression, which is preferable for the generation of the capillary attraction.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in this type of filler, one expanded wire mesh sheet (expanded metal sheet) and another expanded wire mesh sheet are brought into contact with each other to form a filler sheet. The idea is well known. In addition, as another known one, there is one in which two wire meshes each having a wire diameter of 0.1 mm and a mesh number of about 100 are stacked.

This kind of packing material is packed in a substance and / or heat exchange column, and is used to countercurrently flow a liquid and a gas from above and below to bring them into contact with each other to carry out the material and / or heat exchange. Flows downward from above, and gas flows upward from below. Since the liquid has a lower diffusivity when compared with a liquid and a gas, the diffusibility of the liquid has been a problem in this type of filler. For this reason, various methods have been devised, and one of them is a method of contacting two sheet-like base materials such as the above-mentioned wrought wire mesh sheet or wire mesh sheet and superposing them to obtain a capillary attraction. As another method of generating a capillary attraction force, there is also a filler in which lateral lines are sequentially brought into contact with each other depending on the weaving method of one wire netting sheet, and thereby a capillary attraction force is generated.

As described above, when two woven wire net sheets are brought into contact with each other to form a filler sheet, and when the woven wire net sheet has a small opening, the capillary attraction is strong. The larger the opening, the weaker the capillary force tends to be. I won't.
Conventionally, in this type of double-layered filler, in order to exert a strong capillary attraction, it is necessary to make the opening small, for example, in the case of a wire mesh, the opening should be about 100 mesh. I won't. As a result, the liquid is held between the contact surfaces of the two sheet-like base materials, and the gas can only come into contact with the liquid only on the outer side of the two sheet-like base materials. However, there is a problem in that the surfaces of the two sheets cannot be substantially provided for the contact between the gas and the liquid. Therefore, when the opening is increased and gas is introduced into the contact surface, the capillary attraction force is reduced, and the diffusion of the liquid is hindered.

That is, in the prior art, there is always the problem of facing each other that increasing the opening of the wrought wire mesh sheet reduces the capillary attraction, and conversely decreasing the opening reduces the chance of contact between gas and liquid. I have it.

The present inventors have conducted research to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art. As a result, the gap generated when the wrought wire netting sheet and other sheet-shaped base materials are brought into contact with each other and overlapped can be reduced by compressing and reducing the top portion formed at the joint of the wrought wire netting sheet. As a result, it has been found that the above-mentioned drawbacks can be solved, and the improvement of the performance of the filler according to the present invention has been realized.

Conventionally, in a filler of the type in which a filler sheet is formed by stacking two such sheet-like base materials, the aim is to bring the two sheet-like base materials into contact with each other and stack them. One is to generate a capillary attraction in the form of a surface by bringing the sheet-shaped base material into surface contact. When a capillary attraction is generated on a surface, the liquid spreads on all sides of the surface, so that the diffusion of the liquid that is especially required for these fillings can be achieved.

More specifically, in the case of the wrought wire mesh sheet according to the present invention, even if the opening areas per unit area are the same, there are a plurality of openings rather than one opening and there are many contact points. The more you do, the stronger the capillary attraction.

In the case where the spread wire mesh sheet has a small opening, for example, when the size of the opening is 0.2 mm or less in the expanding direction and 0.5 mm or less in the direction intersecting the expanding direction, the capillary attraction is generated. Even if the diffusion of the liquid due to the above can be achieved, as for the contact between the gas and the liquid, the liquid diffused by the capillary attraction is often diffused inside the contact surface of the sheet-like base material, and therefore The liquid is retained in the opening, and the gas-liquid contact is made only on the outer side portion of the wrought wire mesh sheet. In this case, the gas cannot reach the contact surface and the inside of the opening, that is, it cannot be said that stacking two sheets directly increases the contact area.

1. Increase the opening of the wrought wire mesh sheet. In this case, it is premised that, in the case of the other laminated sheet, when the sheet has an opening, the opening is smaller than that of the wrought wire netting sheet. In practice, it is preferable that the spread wire mesh sheet has an opening of about 0.5 mm in the spread direction and about 1 mm in the direction intersecting the spread direction.

In order to improve the contact between gas and liquid when the wrought wire netting sheet and another laminated sheet are brought into contact with each other and overlapped with each other, the opening of the wrought wire netting sheet in the present invention is set in the stretching direction. 0.2 mm or more and 0. in the direction intersecting the stretching direction.
Although it is 5 mm or more, as for other laminated sheets that come into contact with each other, when the laminated sheet has an opening or a mesh, the total area of the openings of the wrought wire mesh sheet is the same as that of the sheet-shaped substrate. It is a prerequisite of the present invention that the area of the mesh or mesh is always larger than the total area. This is because the combination of two sheet-like base materials is the basis for improving the performance of the filler in the present invention, and the total area of the openings or lines of other laminated sheets is the expanded wire mesh. This is because if it is larger than that of the sheet, the effect of the present invention is completely lost. Also, if the opening is increased, the occupancy rate per unit area of the laminated sheet base material will be reduced by that ratio, resulting in a decrease in the contact area. However, by increasing the sheet thickness , You can make up for this. However, when the aperture is actually increased and the thickness is increased, a decrease in capillary attraction is induced. It is the above-mentioned gap 9 that induces the reduction of the capillary attraction. Since this gap exists, the contact portion per unit area decreases when the opening is increased, and the increase in the sheet thickness also increases the gap 9, which causes a decrease in capillary attraction. When the opening is small and the sheet thickness is small, there are many contact portions and the gap 9 is small, so that a certain amount of capillary attraction can be generated, but when the opening is large and the sheet thickness increases However, there is a problem.

In the present invention, as shown in FIG. 6, the gap 9 is reduced by compressing or cutting the top portion 10 at the joint 4 of the wrought wire netting sheet to increase the capillary attraction.
