When the volume is increased, the nugget width L1 of the weld nugget 10 shown in FIG. 8 inevitably increases, and as a result, the cross-sectional area of the cooling water flow path in the reactor decreases and the water flow resistance increases. Therefore, the heat exchange rate decreases.

It is sufficient to increase the nugget depth D1 without increasing the nugget width L1 of the weld nugget 10 formed at the joint portion. However , in the conventional support grid manufacturing method described above, it is difficult to increase only the nugget depth D1 without increasing the nugget width L1 , and the nugget depth D1 is set to 0.5 to 0.7 of the nugget width L1 .
The limit was to double it.

上にしたことことを特徴としている。"Means for Solving the Problems" This invention involves intersecting a plurality of thin plate-shaped straps with each other in a lattice pattern, and forming welding tabs protruding from the edges of the straps at the ends of the formed intersection lines. A hole extending in the direction of the cross line is formed at the intersection of the welding tabs, a recess is formed by melting the end of the cross line of the strap in the hole, and then the welding tab is melted and melted into the recess. It is characterized in that the maximum dimension of the weld nugget formed at the joint by solidification in the direction of the intersection line is 0.7 times or more the maximum dimension in the direction perpendicular to the intersection line.

By irradiating the upper end portion and melting this portion, a recessed portion 25 extending downward in the figure is formed from the upper end portion. Next, the welding tab 22 is melted using a laser or the like, and the melted portion is melted into the recess 25 and solidified to form a welding nugget 21 as shown in FIG. 5. Here, the nugget depth D2 of this nugget 21 is 0.7 of the nugget width L2.
This is done by determining the depth of the recess 25 in consideration of the volume of the welding tab 22.

Can be deeper and also nugget depth D 2
can be made more than 0.7 times the nugget width L2 .
That is, since the cross-sectional area of the cooling water flow path is almost the same as that of the conventional case, it is possible to increase the welding strength between the straps 20 without increasing the flow resistance.
