Abstract

PURPOSE:To connect a cable to a system unit reliably by providing a connection confirm circuit and a display device to display connection conditions in the system unit. CONSTITUTION:A connection confirm circuit 3 and a display device 4 are provided in a system unit 2, and when an I/O unit 1 is connected to the unit 2 with a cable 5, the circuit 3 confirms the connection with a closed loop circuit of VCC. That is, when the cable 5 is connected properly, a current flows in the closed loop circuit to light a light emitting diode to display on a display device 4. When the cable is not connected properly, the loop circuit is not closed, hence the diode cannot be lighted. Thereby the connection condition of the cable can be confirmed and displayed for the proper cable connection.
