【考案の詳細な説明】
（産業上の利用分野）
本考案は、車両の前部席に設けられてメータ
盤、グローブボツクス等が設置される車両用イン

（従来技術）
一般に、車両用インストルメントパネルは、ア
ツパクロスメンバとロアクロスメンバとの間とそ
の下方に跨つてまたはこれの間とフロアとに跨つ
てに設けられたインストルメントパネル本体から
成つており、このインストルメントパネル本体に
メータ盤、グローブボツクス等が設置されてい
る。従来技術ではアツパクロスメンバとロアクロ
スメンバとは車幅方向に平行に設けられているの
でインストルメントパネル本体内はロアクロスメ
ンバによつて上下に分割され、このためグローブ
ボツクスはインストルメントパネル本体内でロア
クロスメンバを境としてその上半部または下半部
に設けられていたので容量が小さく、またグロー
ブボツクスは通常前部座席の左側に設置されてい
ることが多かつたので使い難い欠点があつた（実

（考案の目的）
本考案の目的は、グローブボツクスの容量を増
大することができる上にこれを使い易い位置に設
置することができるようにした車両用インストル

（考案の構成）
本考案に係る車両用インストルメントパネル
は、フロントパネルの上縁に車幅方向に沿つて設
けられたアツパクロスメンバと、このアツパクロ
スメンバの下方で且つ車両後方側に車幅方向に沿
つて設けられたロアクロスメンバと、アツパクロ
スメンバとロアクロスメンバとの間とロアクロス
メンバの下方とに跨つて設けられたインストルメ
ントパネル本体とから成り、このインストルメン
トパネル本体にメータ盤、グローブボツクス等が
設けられているが、ロアクロスメンバは車幅方向
の中央で前方に向けて折り曲げて形成された凹部
を有し、グローブボツクスは、前面が開いたケー
スと、このケースの内部空間を閉じるように開閉
自在に設けられたリツドとから成り、ケースはイ
ンストルメントパネル本体内のロアクロスメンバ
の凹部を有する位置に設置されていることを特徴

ンストルメントパネル１０を示し、この車両用イ
ンストルメントパネル１０は、フロントパネル１
２の上縁に沿つて設けられたアツパクロスメンバ
１４とこのアツパクロスメンバ１４の下方で且つ
車両後方側に車幅方向に沿つて設けられたロアク
ロスメンバ１６とこれらのアツパクロスメンバ１
４とロアクロスメンバ１６との間とロアクロスメ
ンバ１６の下方とに跨つて設けられてフロア１８
まで延びるインストルメントパネル本体２０から
成つている。アツパクロスメンバ１４とロアクロ
スメンバ１６とは、第３図に示すように、フロン
トピラー３０の内側面に設けられたそれぞれのブ
ラケツト２２，２４に固着して取付けられてい
る。また、第４図及び第５図に示すように、フロ
ントパネル１２の上端フランジ１２ａにはウエザ
ストリツプ２６を介してフロントウインドシール
ド２８の下縁が取付けられ、このフロントウイン
ドシールド２８はフロントパネル１２から一体に
延びるフロントピラー３０の間に設けられてい
る。インストルメントパネル本体２０にはメータ
盤３２、グローブボツクス３４、空調装置３６等

ツト３６とロアクロスメンバ１６の凹部１６ａと
にそれぞれねじ止めして取付けられた前面が開い
たケース３８とケース３８の内部空間を閉じるよ
うに開閉自在に設けられたグローブボツクスリツ
ド４０とから成つている。グローブボツクスリツ
ド４０は、ケース３８の底板３８ａにヒンジ４２
によつて枢支され、またケース３８の側板３８ｂ
とグローブボツクスリツド４０の内面との間に設
けられた１対の折畳みリンク式のステー４４によ
つて閉じた状態（第１図）及び開いた状態（第２
図）に維持される。このようにしてグローブボツ
クス３４はアツパクロスメンバ１４から床まで高
さ一杯に使用することができるので容量が増大
し、従つてインストルメントパネル本体全体を下
げ、フロントウインドシールドの下縁を下げて視

ボツクスはインストルメントパネル本体の車幅方
向の中央に位置されるので運転席及び助手席のい
ずれからも使い易く取扱が便宜となる実益があ
