For ease of use, a seat lifter is often used in which the front and rear parts of the seat can be raised and lowered independently. A seat lifter is a lower frame in which an upper frame such as a seat frame or seat pan that fixes a seat cushion is fixed to the vehicle body in pairs on the left and right sides via links that are pivoted in pairs on the front and rear parts of the upper frame. One of the base plates is provided with an operating mechanism for rotating the link. The operating mechanism includes a shaft having an operating knob pivoted on one end, a pinion pivoted on the other end of the shaft, and the pinion engaged with the sector gear;
One end of a connecting rod is rotatably attached to the sector gear, the other end is rotatably attached to the link, and a brake unit is provided for locking rotation of the pinion. In order to reduce the rotational force of the operating knob, a spring is mounted between the link and the lower frame to bias the link to rotate so as to constantly lift the upper frame. This spring uses a tensile coil spring or torsion spring (see, for example, JP-A-57-58522, JP-A-60-56642, and JP-A-61-24631). ).

Because of this, many parts and space are required for installation, and in particular, the connecting rod that connects the rear of the lower frame may have to be installed so as to protrude rearward. In addition, while the spring constant of a torsion spring is determined by its length,
The location where it should be installed is in the width direction of the seat lifter that connects the lower frames, and the width dimension is almost constant, so there are disadvantages such as difficulty in adjusting the operating force. It was hot.

An upper frame is mounted to be movable up and down, an operating mechanism for rotating the link is provided on one of the lower frames, and a link is provided between the pair of lower frames on the side that lifts the upper frame upward. In a seat lifter equipped with a torsion spring that rotationally biases the torsion spring, both ends of the torsion spring are bent into a hook shape, and the vicinity of one end is further bent to form a right-angled part. , one end of this torsion spring is locked in a recess formed in one end of at least one link pivoted to either one of the lower frames, and the torsion spring is engaged in a recess formed in the other end of this link. The right angle portion is hooked, and the other end of the torsion spring is hooked to the lower frame through a hole bored in one of the lower frames, and the other end of the torsion spring is hooked to the lower frame. The formed recesses constituted a seat lifter in which openings were formed in the same direction with respect to the rotational direction of the link.

Therefore, when the operating knob is rotated, the pinion is rotated, and the sector gear is rotated upward, the rotational operating force is reduced, as in the prior art. When assembling the torsion spring, the other end of the torsion spring is hooked to one of the lower frames, the link is positioned between one end of the torsion spring and the right angle part, and one end of the link is By rotating the link so that one end of the torsion spring is locked in the recess formed, the right angle part is locked in the recess formed at the other end of the link, and the connecting shaft with the link fixed at both ends is attached to the lower part. It can be easily assembled by being pivoted to the frame, and since the torsion spring is arranged diagonally in the width direction of the lower frame, its length can be adjusted so that the length is at least the specified width between the lower frames. Therefore, a torsion spring having a desired spring constant can be selected, and the range of adjustment for reducing the operating force is improved.

As shown in FIG. 2, the torsion spring 37 is substantially the same as the conventional one, with one end bent into a hook shape hanging on the bracket 21, and the other end extending to the lower frame 2.
The bracket 21 is passed through a through hole 1d formed in the lower frame 2 and engaged with a vertically bent portion 2a on the periphery thereof, thereby urging the bracket 21 to rotate clockwise. Further, the torsion spring 38 has both ends 39 and 40.
are each bent into a hook shape, and the vicinity of one end 39 is further bent into a hook shape to form a right angle portion 4.
It consists of an elastic rod having 1 and one end 3
9 is latched to a recess 6e formed at one end of the link 6c, and the right-angled portion 41 is latched to a recess 6d formed at the other end of the link 6c. Here, the recesses 6d and 6e formed at both ends of the link 6c are opened in the same direction with respect to the rotational direction of the link 6c. The other end 40 of the torsion spring 38 passes through a through hole 1e formed in one of the lower frames 2, contacts a standing bent portion 2a formed on the periphery of the lower frame 2, and rotates counterclockwise to the link 6c. It has a rotational bias in the direction. The reason why the torsion spring 38 is arranged diagonally with respect to the lower frames 2, 2 is to obtain a dimension longer than the width dimension W between the lower frames 2, 2, and a spring constant having a somewhat large spring constant is used. It has been made possible.

39 to make it abut against the vertical bent portion 2a, and one end 39
The link 6c is positioned between the right angle portion 41 and the link 6c, and one end 39 is locked in a recess 6e formed at one end of the link 6c.
By rotating clockwise, the right angle part 41 is hooked into the recess 6d formed at the other end of the link 6c, as shown by the solid line in FIG. 5, and the links 6b,
The connecting shaft 18a with 6c fixed at both ends is inserted into a shaft hole 30 drilled in the lower frame 2, and is prevented from coming off with an E-ring 31 for pivotal support. Here, the link 6c rotates within the range shown by the solid line and the imaginary line in FIG. 5 by the rotation operation of the operating knob 11a, so the right angle portion 41 does not come off the recess 6d of the link 6c. Therefore, the torsion spring 38 is stabilized by the right angle part 41 being pushed toward the lower frame 2 side by the link 6c, so that the one end 39 always rotates the link 6c counterclockwise and has a predetermined spring property. The operation mechanism 7, 7a can generate a force that constantly lifts the upper frame 5 upward, and is arranged diagonally with respect to the lower frames 2, 2.
It is possible to finely adjust the degree of reduction in operating force that is convenient for operation.

である。 To explain the operation of the above embodiment, when the operation knob 11 is rotated, the pinion 9 rotates via the operation mechanism 7 in FIG. 3, and the rotation of the pinion 9 rotates the sector gear 10. The movement causes the plate 16 to rotate in the same direction, causing the link 6 to swing. Therefore, when the sector gear 10 rotates clockwise around the shaft pin 13, the plate 16 rotates in the same direction via the pin 15, and the link 6 is pulled clockwise, causing the upper frame 5 to be pulled into the lower frame. Close to 2. on the other hand,
Conversely, if the sector gear 10 rotates counterclockwise around the shaft pin 13, the plate 16 rotates counterclockwise via the pin 15, and the link 6 rotates in the same direction. Lift the upper frame 5 upward. On the other hand, the bracket 21 is fixed to the other end of the connecting shaft 18 that fixes the plate 16 to one end, and is rotationally biased by a torsion spring 37, so the link 6a is rotated by the rotation of the link 6 and rotates clockwise. It can be rotated in any direction. Thus, by rotating the operation knob 11, the front portion of the upper frame 5 can be raised and lowered.
On the other hand, when the operation knob 11a is rotated, the sector gear 10a pulls or pushes the link rod 26 to swing the link 6b in the front-back direction, and the link 6c is attached to the other end of the connecting shaft 18a that fixes the link 6b at one end. Since it is fixed and rotationally biased by the torsion spring 38, it can rotate clockwise following the rotation of the link 6b. As a result, when the link rod 26 is pulled, the rear part of the upper frame 5 is lifted upward, and when the link rod 26 is pushed, the rear part of the upper frame 5 approaches the lower frame 2, that is, the operation knob 11 , 11a, the front and rear portions of the upper frame 5 can be raised and lowered separately, allowing the seated person to easily adjust the front and rear portions of the seat, or both, to a desired height. In a seat lifter in which a torsion spring is disposed, both ends of the torsion spring are bent into a hook shape, and the vicinity of one end is further bent to form a right-angled portion. One end of the spring is locked in a recess formed in one end of at least one link that is pivoted to either one of the lower frames, and the right angle part is fitted in a recess formed in the other end of the link. and the other end of the torsion spring passes through a through hole bored in one of the other lower frames and is hung in contact with a vertical bent portion formed in the lower frame,
Since the recesses formed at both ends of the link are opened in the same direction with respect to the direction of rotation of the link, the torsion spring has a right-angled portion that is pushed toward the lower frame by the link. By stabilizing the link, one end has a certain springiness that keeps the link rotating
By creating a force that constantly lifts the upper frame, it is possible to reduce the rotational force of the operation knob, and by arranging it diagonally to the lower frame, the length can be selected from long or short, making it easier to operate. The degree of reduction in operating force that is convenient for operating the mechanism can be finely adjusted. To assemble the torsion spring, hook the other end of the torsion spring to one lower frame, position the link between one end of the torsion spring and the right angle part, and attach the link to one end of the torsion spring. By rotating the link so that one end of the torsion spring is locked in the recess formed, the right angle part is locked in the recess formed at the other end of the link, and the connecting shaft with the link fixed at both ends is attached to the lower part. Since it can be easily assembled by being pivotally supported on the frame, the assembly work can be done simply and quickly. Furthermore, one end of the torsion spring is locked in a recess formed in one end of at least one link pivoted to either one of the lower frames, and
The right angle part is hooked into the recess formed at the other end of this link, and the other end of the torsion spring is passed through a through hole drilled in one of the other lower frames.
Since the torsion spring is hooked onto the lower frame, no separate member such as a bracket is required for mounting the torsion spring, and the number of parts can be reduced.
