(Refer to Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 59-48250) [Problems to be solved by the invention] As mentioned above, the bumper skin 109 is made up of the reinforcing member 1.
When a force F is applied to the bumper skin 109 from where it is fixed to the bumper skin 109 during a light collision, for example, the bumper skin 109 deforms greatly as shown by the chain line, and absorbs and alleviates the impact energy through this deformation.

問題が起きる。 For this purpose, for example, a gap α between the upper surface of the bumper skin 109 and the vehicle body skin 117 is created so that the bumper skin 109 does not interfere with the vehicle body skin 117 when the bumper skin 109 is deformed.
Although it is possible to consider measures such as ensuring a large gap α, a problem arises in that increasing the gap α impairs the appearance quality.

The object of the present invention is to provide a bumper for a vehicle.

ない。[Function] In such a bumper, the fixing means does not fall due to the notch provided in the reinforcing rib without using a temporary holding clip, and the bumper can be easily attached to the reinforcing member. On the other hand, during a light collision, the bumper skin undergoes significant bending and deformation due to the impact of the collision, and this deformation absorbs and alleviates the impact energy. In this case, while the stiffness of the upper surface side of the bumper skin and the attachment area is increased by the reinforcing ribs, the bumper skin has a shape that bends and deforms from the area away from the reinforcing ribs, so there is no interference with the vehicle body exterior member. Therefore, the gap between the vehicle body exterior parts and the upper surface of the bumper skin can be set small, so that the appearance quality is not impaired.

Since the notch recess 41 prevents it from falling out, the installation work can be easily performed. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 1, when an external force F acts on the bumper 3 due to an impact during a light collision, the bumper skin 9 bends and deforms to absorb and alleviate the impact energy during the collision.

is bent outside the area of the reinforcing ribs 39, which have weak surface rigidity, so that even if the bumper skin 9 is significantly deformed, it will not interfere with the vehicle body exterior member 1. Therefore, damage is suppressed to only the bumper 3, and the gap between the upper surface portion 19 and the vehicle body exterior member 1 can be set small, without degrading the appearance quality. In this case, if a thin wall portion 45 is formed on the inside of the upper surface portion 19 at the front end side of the reinforcing rib 39 as shown in FIG. can be specified.

This eliminates the need for temporary holding clips and improves the installation work. Further, since the rigidity of the region of the reinforcing ribs and the area around the fixing means can be increased, damage to the vehicle body exterior member can be prevented. Therefore, the only repair required is replacing the bumper. Furthermore, since the gap between the vehicle body exterior member and the upper surface of the bumper can be set small, the appearance quality is also very favorable.
