〓Prior art〓 Generally, when controlling an engine electronically, a control lever that controls the amount of fuel supplied to the engine is connected to an actuator, and this actuator is controlled by an electronic control device such as a microcomputer. Connecting. By supplying information regarding the accelerator opening or engine load and engine rotational speed to the input side of the electronic control device, normal electronic control of the engine becomes possible. However, when such electronic control is performed, it becomes impossible to mechanically control the engine using the accelerator pedal. Therefore, in the event of a failure in which the control lever stops moving when a large amount of fuel is being supplied, it will be impossible to stop the engine or prevent the engine from revving up. .

Next, we will explain the mechanism for mechanically controlling the amount of fuel supplied when the microcomputer 8 or actuator 6 that controls the supply of fuel to the engine 1 fails.
As shown in the drawings and FIG. 3, an operating lever 14 is provided so as to overlap the load lever 5, and this operating lever 14 is rotatably supported by an operating shaft 15 of the load lever 5. It's becoming like that. The operating lever 14 is urged to rotate clockwise about the operating shaft 15 in FIG. 2 by a return spring 16. Also, operation lever 1
4 is provided with an engaging portion 17 on its right side, and is adapted to be engaged with the load lever 5 rotated to the idle position by this engaging portion 17. Further, a pin 18 is installed on the upper end side of the operating lever 14, and in the event of a failure, this pin 18 is connected to the wire cable 11 to enable mechanical control using the accelerator pedal 9.

Furthermore, this engine control device is equipped with a pressing cylinder 19. Note that this cylinder 19 is composed of, for example, an air cylinder, and a piston 20 is slidably disposed inside thereof. A pressing plate 22 is fixed to the tip of the rod 21 of the piston 20, and this pressing plate 22 presses the side surface of the load lever 5 so that it engages with the operating lever 14 and moves together. I have to. The chamber on the right side of the piston 20 of the cylinder 19 is connected to an air supply source (not shown) via an air supply pipe 23.

Next, the operation of this engine control device configured as described above will be explained. In the case of normal control, that is, when the amount of fuel supplied to the engine 1 is electronically controlled by the microcomputer 8 and actuator 6, the connection between the wire cable 11 and the pin 18 of the operating lever 14 is released. , as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, compressed air is introduced into the air cylinder 19 through the air supply pipe 23. As shown in FIGS. Then, the piston 20 in the cylinder 19 is pushed by the air and moves to the left against the return spring 24 as shown in FIG. Therefore, the pressing plate 22 attached to the tip of the piston rod 21 also moves to the left and reaches a position where it does not interfere with the load lever 5. Therefore, the load lever 5 is in a one-to-one relationship with the actuator 6 connected via the link 7, and the load lever 5 can be rotated by the actuator 6 without being affected by other influences.

In this state, the microcomputer 8 uses the accelerator sensor 12 to read the amount of depression of the accelerator pedal 9, and uses the rotation detection sensor 13 to read the rotational speed of the engine 1. Then, based on this information, a control signal is supplied to the actuator 6, and the load lever 5 is rotated by the actuator 6. That is, the load lever 5 rotates between an idle position shown by a solid line in FIG. It will control the amount of fuel supplied to the cylinder. In this way, the amount of fuel supplied to the engine 1 is normally controlled by electronic control.

Next, if the microcomputer 8 or the actuator 6 breaks down, the electronic control described above cannot be performed, so fuel is mechanically supplied by the accelerator pedal 9 as shown in FIGS. 4 to 6. Control the amount. In this case, the air in the air cylinder 19 is first transferred to the air supply pipe 23.
discharge through. Then, the return spring 24 provided inside the cylinder 19 moves the piston 20 to the right as shown in FIG. Therefore, the pressing plate 22 attached to the tip of the piston rod 21 moves to the right and pushes the left side of the load lever 5, causing this lever 5 to move.
The right side surface of the lever is engaged with the engaging portion 17 of the operating lever 14. And at the same time,
In order to return the load lever 5 to the idle position shown in Figs. 5 and 6, it is possible to forcibly reduce the amount of fuel supplied, thereby preventing the engine from revving up in the event of a failure. be done.

In this state, the tip of the wire cable 11 is connected to the operating lever 14 by the pin 18, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. This operating lever 14 is then connected to the accelerator pedal 9 via the wire cable 11.
Furthermore, the operating lever 14 is engaged with the load lever 5 by its engaging portion 17 and the pressing plate 22 at the tip of the rod 21 of the cylinder 19, so that the load lever 5 moves together with the operating lever 14. It's getting old. Therefore, in this state, the accelerator pedal 9
By depressing the accelerator pedal 9 in the same way as in a conventional automobile, the movement of the accelerator pedal 9 is transmitted to the mechanical governor 4 of the fuel injection pump 2 via the wire cable 11, the operating lever 14, and the load lever 5. This means that control similar to conventional mechanical control can be achieved. Therefore, the microcomputer 8 or the actuator 6
Even in the event of a failure, it is possible to continue operating the engine 1 without any hindrance.

Although the present invention has been described above with reference to an illustrated embodiment,
The present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and various modifications can be made based on the technical idea of the present invention. For example, in the above embodiment, the pressing cylinder 19 is made up of an air cylinder, but a hydraulic cylinder, a vacuum cylinder,
It can be replaced with an electric actuator or the like. Further, the supply and discharge of air to the air cylinder 19 may be performed manually, or may be automatically performed by the microcomputer 8 in conjunction with the detection of a failure.

Moreover, in the event of a failure of the actuator or electronic control device, the control lever and the accelerator pedal are linked together against the spring and the pressure cylinder by mechanically connecting the operating lever to the accelerator pedal via the coupling means. the control lever can be rotated using the accelerator pedal via a mechanical linkage to control the supply of fuel to the engine; It becomes possible to control the engine mechanically.

Moreover, since the means for mechanically connecting the accelerator pedal and the operating lever is configured to be detachable from the operating lever, the electronic control device and the actuator operate normally, and the engine is controlled by electronic control. In order to control the supply of fuel, this connection means can be removed. Therefore, such a mechanical coupling means does not have any adverse effect on the electronic control of the engine.
Alternatively, the pressing force of the accelerator pedal is not increased, thereby preventing deterioration of the operability of the accelerator pedal.
