- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.結晶が円柱形で、0.6ミクロン以下の平均長さ及び0.5未満の平均長さ :直径比を有し、かつ実質的に平らな底面を有している、ゼオライトLo2.請 求項1記載のゼオライトにおいて、平均長さ:直径比が0.2〜0.5であるゼ オライト。 3.請求項1又は請求項2記載のゼオライトにおいて、結晶の平均高さ:長さ比 が1〜1.2であるゼオライト。 4.請求項3記載のゼオライトにおいて、平均高さ:長さ比が約1であるゼオラ イト。 5.請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項記載のゼオライトにおいて、該ゼオラ イトがqモルの水、二価カチオン、mモルのK2O源、nモルのSiO2源及び pモルのAl2O3源(ただし、m:nは0.2〜0.35であり、n:pは1 5〜160であり、q:mは45〜70である)からなる混合物の結晶化生成物 であるゼオライト。 6.請求項5記載のゼオライトにおいて、m:nが0.24〜0.30で、n: pが20〜40で、q:mが50〜65であるゼオライト。 7.請求項5又は請求項6記載のゼオライトにおいて、二価カチオンがニッケル 、マグネシウム、カルシウム、バリウム、コバルト、マンガン、亜鉛、銅又はス ズであるゼオライト。 8.請求項7記載のゼオライトにおいて、前記カチオンがマグネシウム又はバリ ウムであるゼオライト。 9.請求項5乃至請求項8のいずれか1項記載のゼオライトを製造する方法にし て、シリカ及び二価カチオンの水溶液をアルミナ及びKOHの水溶液と混合し、 混合物を加熱して所望のゼオライトを晶出させることを含む方法。 10.請求項9記載の方法において、前記混合物を150〜200℃に加熱する 方法。 11.請求項10記載の方法において、前記混合物を60〜160時間加熱する 方法。 12.請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか1項記載のゼオライトに芳香族化助触媒 金属を含浸させたものからなる触媒。 13.請求項12記載の触媒において、前記金属が白金及び白金と少なくとも1 種類の他の金属との混合物からなる群から選択される触媒。 14.請求項13記載の触媒において、前記他の金属がスズ、ゲルマニウム、イ リジウム及びレニウムからなる群から選択される触媒。 15.請求項12乃至請求項14のいずれか1項記載の触媒において、前記助触 媒金属がゼオライトの重量を基準にして0.4〜0.8重量%の量で存在する触 媒。
