According to the bending type handpiece shown in FIG.
The second portion is similarly bent by a predetermined angle.
Therefore, the horn 20 projects at a predetermined angle with respect to the axial direction of the handpiece body 11. According to this bendable handpiece, the operator can rotate the handpiece to
Ultrasonic waves can be easily transmitted in various directions,
It also expands the field of view of the surgical site during surgery, makes it easier to see the target point, and improves operability. Incidentally, the present applicant has filed a utility model registration application (Utility Model Application No. 107142/1982) on July 17, 1980 regarding the bendable handpiece.

[Function] According to the configuration described in claim 1, the bending portion is provided at the tail end of the handpiece body and the cable pullout is angled at a predetermined angle with respect to the axial direction of the handpiece, so that during surgery, Particularly when performing surgery deep within a living body, even when the handpiece is erected in an almost vertical direction, the moment of force applied to the handpiece body due to the cable load is reduced by the angle. I can do it.
This reduces the tensile force applied to the handpiece body and improves operability during surgery.

Since the bent part 36 is formed at the tail end of the handpiece main body 11 and the cable 24 is pulled out from this bent part 36, the cable 24 is bent at the bending angle of the bent part 36 (main direction) with respect to the axial direction of the handpiece. In the embodiment, it is pulled out at an angle of approximately 40 degrees. This angled drawing of the cable 24 makes it easier to operate the handpiece than when the tail end of the handpiece body 11 is formed straight without forming a bent part and the cable 24 is drawn out from there. The moment of force applied by the load on the cable 24 can be reduced.

That is, when the part of the handpiece body 11 held by the operator is used as a fulcrum, the distance from this fulcrum to the point where the load of the cable 24 is applied can be shortened, thereby reducing the moment of force. It is something.

In the case of the bending type handpiece shown in FIG. 2, the bending of the bending portion 36 and the bending of the handpiece outer frame, in this example, the bending of the bending portion 38 of the holder 12 portion, are on the same plane. It is said to be bent.

The position where the bent portion 38 is formed is set at the antinode position of the vibration wave of the handpiece. That is, as shown in the bending type handpiece and its amplitude characteristic curve in FIG. 8, the handpiece is bent at a point A that stays at a point A1, which is the antinode of the vibration wave. By bending the resonant vibration wave at the antinode position in this way, it is possible to almost suppress the attenuation of the vibration wave amplitude caused by bending the handpiece.

In this way, by forming a bent type handpiece in which the handpiece outer frame is bent at a predetermined location, and further combining the bent portion 36 at the tail end of the handpiece, which is a feature of the present invention, the handpiece The angle given to the joint between the main body 11 and the holder 12 is combined, and the operability of the handpiece is further improved.

That is, the handpiece body 11 and the holder 12
When the distal end of the horn 20 is applied vertically to the affected area, the handpiece main body 11 can be tilted by the bending angle, and the bending part 36 allows the cable to be bent. Since the pulling force exerted by the handpiece body 11 is reduced, the force applied to the tail end of the handpiece body 11 is doubly reduced.
