【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】この発明はレンズの表面処理に関
する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来、レンズには反射防止膜被覆や屈折
率調整膜被覆およびハードコートとしてジルコニアと酸
化珪素膜の多層被覆などの表面処理が施されるのが通例
であった。
【０００３】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかし、上記従来技術
によっても、レンズ表面にゴミが付着し、このゴミを柔
らかい布などで拭いて除去する場合にもレンズ表面が傷
つくことは避けられなかった。
【０００４】この発明は、かかる従来技術の課題を解決
し、レンズ表面が傷つくことのない表面処理を提供する
ことを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記課題を解決し、上記
目的を達成するために、この発明はレンズに関し、表面
にダイアモンド膜を形成する手段を取る。

【実施例】以下、実施例によりこの発明を詳述する。
【０００７】いま、プラスチック眼鏡のレンズ（含素透
し眼鏡ガラス）ハードコート膜表面に炭化水素ガスを原
材料としてプラズマＣＶＤ法などによりダイアモンド膜
を数ミクロンの厚さに被覆することができ、該ダイアモ
ンド膜被覆眼鏡はレンズ拭きで拭いても傷つくことはな
い。尚、通例のガラスレンズ（含素透し眼鏡ガラス）に
よるメガネにおいてもダイアモンド膜被覆することによ
り同様な効果を得ることができる。
【０００８】つぎに、カメラのレンズやフィルタあるい
は保護ガラスなどの表面にダイアモンド膜を被覆しても
レンズ拭きによるレンズの傷付きを避けることができ
る。なお、ダイアモンド被覆は最外レンズの最外表面の
みであってもよい。
【０００９】さらに、顕微鏡、望遠鏡や双眼鏡などのレ
ンズや鏡の表面にダイアモンド膜を被覆してもレンズや
鏡を拭くことによる傷付きを避けることができる。

【発明の効果】この発明により、レンズや鏡の拭き取り
による傷付きをなくすることができる効果がある。
