[Detailed explanation of the invention] <Industrial application field> This invention is a direct-injection type writing instrument without batting, that is, the ink is filled with fluid water-based ink directly into the ink cylinder without the ink being absorbed by the ink absorbing material, and the ink is then flowed back. To provide an ink cylinder which is used for a writing instrument such as a ballpoint pen, a felt-tip pen, or a capillary type writing instrument filled with an inhibitor, allows smooth writing without hindering the ejection of ink, and can be filled with a large amount of ink.

<Prior art> As shown in Figure 6A, the ink cylinder of a conventional direct liquid writing instrument without batting has a simple shape with a pen tip attached to the tip of the cylinder, and an ink outlet hole penetrated by the pen tip. Alternatively, the ink in the ink cylinder is designed so that it passes directly into the ink outlet hole without being controlled at all by an ink outlet (not shown) that is tightly inserted into the hole, and is led out to the writing tip of the pen nib. It is filled with a low-viscosity water-based ink whose main solvent is water or a water-based ink imparted with thixotropy by a gelling agent, and is further made of a highly viscous or semi-fluid material such as a grease-like substance or polybutene. Filled with anti-backflow agent.

<Problem that the invention aims to solve> Therefore, with conventional direct-fluid writing instruments that do not have padding, if the writing instrument is stored in an angled or upright position with the nib facing upward for a long period of time, Since the backflow preventive agent has a lower density than water-based ink, it floats along the inner periphery of the ink cylinder toward the pen tip, moves uncontrolled, and passes directly to the inner end of the pen tip. The backflow preventive agent then enters the ink outlet hole of the pen tip, but because of its high viscosity, it stops before reaching the writing tip of the pen tip, and adheres to the inner circumferential surface of the ink outlet hole, partially or completely filling the hole. This closes the ink and prevents the ink from coming out, resulting in blurred writing or the inability to write.

When the ink outlet body is tightly inserted into the ink outlet hole, the backflow preventive agent comes into contact with the ink outlet body and penetrates a little, but stops midway and prevents the ink from being discharged.

This phenomenon is particularly noticeable in the case of large-diameter ink cylinders because the inner periphery of the ink cylinder has a weak ability to retain the backflow preventive agent, and it has been difficult to obtain an ink cylinder filled with a large amount of ink.

<Means for solving the problem> In this idea, a trap, which is an annular space, is formed in the tip of the ink cylinder, and the moving anti-backflow agent is guided there, and is passed directly to the ink outlet hole of the pen tip. The occurrence of blurred writing or inability to write is prevented by preventing the ink from entering or coming into direct contact with the ink emitting body.

Figure 1 shows an example of a direct liquid ballpoint pen without batting. 1 is the tip of the ballpoint pen. A ball hole A is bored at the tip. A ball B is inserted into the hole A and fixed by caulking. A small-diameter slit S is perforated in a vertical direction from the center of the bottom of A, and an ink outlet hole 2 of a larger diameter is communicated with the slit S, and a fitting cylindrical portion 3 is formed around the hole.

Reference numeral 4 denotes an ink cylinder, and a tapered part 6 and a thin cylindrical pen tip holding part 7 are connected to the tip of the cylinder part 5, and the inner end of the holding part 7 is extended and inserted into the tip of the cylinder part 5. It has an inner cylindrical portion 8 that protrudes toward the distal end. An annular space 9 is formed between the tapered part 6 and the inner cylindrical part 8, and serves as a trap that prevents the ink I or backflow preventive agent H in the space 9 from flowing directly to the ink outlet hole 2. Instead of a continuous annular groove in the space 9, it may be a plurality of holes scattered annularly.

A large-diameter ink outlet hole 24 is bored through the pen tip 14 , and an ink outlet body C4 , such as a resin-treated fiber bundle, is inserted and fixed in the hole 24 . A cylinder D made of foamed resin is inserted and fixed into the inner end of the nib holding part 7 of the ink cylinder 4, which allows ink to penetrate and pass through, but does not allow backflow preventive agent to pass through.
An annular space 9 is provided between the tapered portion 6 and the cylindrical body D, and serves as a trap.
