Conventionally, we have proposed a technology that prevents flame lift when the input is large by constantly connecting a negative electrode to the burner during combustion and using an electric field to draw the flame toward the burner (Utility Application 1986- (See No. 25699).

However, as the input becomes smaller and the gas ejection speed from the burner decreases, backfire is likely to occur due to the pull of the flame by the electric field, and in reality, the minimum input cannot be made very small and the turndown ratio becomes smaller. , there was room for further improvement.

The characteristic means of the present invention is to detect an input of a burner connected to a negative electrode of a DC power supply and configured to draw a flame toward the burner by an electric field;
The purpose is to cause the flame to be attracted by the electric field only when the detected input is greater than a set value, which is a large input, and its effects are as follows.

In other words, when the burner input is large enough to exceed the set value that poses a risk of flame lift, the negative electrode is connected to the burner to prevent flame lift by drawing the flame toward the burner using the electric field. Stable combustion is achieved with a larger input than when no electric field is applied.

As a result, stable combustion can be maintained at all times while the heating capacity can be changed widely.For example, one stove can be used to cook Chinese dishes that require high heat, as well as stews that require low heat. It has become possible to use a single instantaneous hot water heater to supply everything from the large amount of hot water needed for heating and bathing to the small amount of hot water required for washing hands.
