の裏面の前記一対の端子の近傍部分を露出させて
前記一対の端子と同方向に片寄せて設け、前記絶
縁基材の裏面の前記一対の切欠孔内露出部分に取
付孔を設け、前記一対の絶縁カバーを互いに同一
形状のものにして各々前記裏面板の長手方向に並
んだ一対の取付爪を形成し、この一対の取付爪の
うちの片方の取付爪で前記絶縁基材の前記取付孔
に嵌入させて前記一対の絶縁カバーを取付けるよ
うにしている。

ら出せるように端子を片寄らせて配置し、絶縁カ
バーに一対の取付爪を設け、一対の絶縁カバーに
同一形状のものを使用しているので、部品種類数

けるとともに、一対の切欠孔5に一対の端子4を
覆う樹脂製等の一対の絶縁カバー6を設けたもの
である。安定器外装1は略ハツト形断面のベース
板2と表カバー3とで形成され、ベース板2の底
壁が裏面板2aとなる。ベース板2と表カバー3
とはかしめ部7で互いに巻込み状態にかしめてあ
る。安定器外装1内にはコイルボビンとなる絶縁
基材8にコイルを巻装したもの等が収容してあ
り、端子4は絶縁基材8の両端から突出してい
る。すなわち、裏面板2aの長手方向両端近傍に
端部側へ突出して端子4を設けてある。これら端
子4は、配線を放電灯安定器の一側部で導出でき
るように、裏面板2aの幅方向一側に片寄せてあ
り、これに応じて切欠孔5も同方向に片寄せてあ
る。切欠孔5は、絶縁基材8の裏面の端子4の近
傍部分まで露出する大きさとしてあり、この露出

子4を片寄らせた場合は切欠孔5も裏面板2aの
一側に片寄らせることが必要となる。しかし、こ
のように切欠孔5を片寄らせると、切欠孔5の幅
方向中央に取付孔9を設けることができなくな
る。そのため、絶縁カバー6に1個の取付爪10
を設けただけでは、左右両側の切欠孔5に設ける
絶縁カバー6につき、取付爪10の位置が異なる
2種のものが必要となる。そこで、この実施例で
は絶縁カバー6に2個の取付爪10を設け、図の
左の切欠孔5と右の切欠孔5とで互いに逆の取付
爪10を用いることにより、このような取付孔9
に対する非対称の切欠孔5に対して同じ絶縁カバ
ー6を用いられるようにしている。端子4の外側
に遊嵌した取付爪10は遊んでいるが、はんだが
外れた場合に配線がベース板2に当ることを防止
