When connecting flat cables to each other, connect a compression terminal to the end of the flat cable, and connect the connection plate attached to the compression terminal and the connection plate attached to the compression terminal of the other flat cable to be connected perpendicularly or in a straight line. A connection section is used in which the connectors are stacked one on top of the other and connected by tightening with bolts. In this case, conventionally, an insulating tape was wrapped to insulate the connection portion, and a protective cover or the like was placed on top of the insulating tape to provide a protective layer.

However, in this connection method, even though the bolts are insulated with insulating tape and covered with a protective cover, the insulating layer may be damaged if external pressure is applied due to the protrusions of the bolts at the bolt connections. There was a problem of damage or deterioration.

ケーブル接続部によつて達成される。 That is, the above-mentioned object of the present invention is to provide a connecting plate which connects a compression terminal to the end of a flat cable by arranging a large number of conductors in a horizontal row and covering the outside with an insulating layer of rubber or plastic, and which is attached to the compression terminal; At the connection part where the compression terminal of the other flat cable to be connected is connected to the connection plate attached to the compression terminal of the flat cable, either perpendicular to each other or stacked in a straight line and tightened with bolts, the bolt part is placed in advance inside the protective cover that covers the entire connection part. This is achieved by a flat cable connection characterized by the provision of opposing insulating plates.
