Conventionally, the installation structure for an air conditioner mounted on the roof of a vehicle has been such that the bottom surface of the air conditioner is shaped to match the shape of the roof of the vehicle, and the air conditioner is installed with a seal packing interposed therebetween. In addition, related installation structures such as
No. 10178 is mentioned [Problems to be solved by the invention] The above-mentioned conventional technology does not give sufficient consideration to the modification of existing vehicles that do not have an air conditioning system to provide air conditioning. It was necessary to take measures against this, and there were problems in terms of airtightness and watertightness. That is, in existing vehicles that have been manufactured for many years, there are irregularities of about ±20 mm with respect to the standard roof surface due to undulating deformation or local deformation of the roof plate. When an air conditioner is mounted on the roof of such a vehicle, it is difficult to completely prevent leakage of air and water even if a sheet seal is interposed between the roof and the air conditioner. In other words, the amount of deflection of the seal packing is
Since it is about 15mm to 20mm, the unevenness of the roof surface is ±20mm.
If the gap is close to 1 mm, it is extremely difficult to eliminate the gap, even considering the followability of the seal packing, and there are problems with airtightness and watertightness.

There was a problem in that the rigidity of the roof structure decreased and the deflection increased due to the installation of the air conditioner.

A new problem will arise in that the cost will increase. Furthermore, since gas cutting and welding are used during the above-mentioned vehicle body modification, there are also problems such as the need to replace interior materials at that time.

る。 Next, to explain the operation, the mounting bed 10 for mounting the air conditioner 1 is a bulkhead with a flat upper surface, and the lower surface is fixed to the roof board 12 across the plurality of rafters 20 of the roof structure 11. ,
It acts to reinforce the roof structure 11. Furthermore, by fixing the lower flange part of the mounting bed 10 to the roof board 12 by mechanical means such as rivets, there is no need to replace the interior material, and the installation can be performed even when the roof board 12 has irregularities or deformation. The air conditioner 1 can be mounted on a mounting bed 10 having a surface corresponding to the bottom surface thereof, and includes a return opening 16 and a cold air discharge opening 19 with sealing gaskets 26 and 27.
It acts to easily achieve airtightness and watertightness. Further, the partition walls 30 and 31 prevent the circulating air from the return opening 14 and the conditioned air from the fan 6 from mixing with each other at the lower part of the mounting bed 10, and perform a sealing function. Next, the packing guide 28
In addition to acting to prevent the butts 26 and 27 from shifting, they are also attached to the top surface of the mounting bed 10 by welding or the like to form a watertight structure, so that the drain discharge hole 9 can be connected to the top surface of the mounting bed 10. The condensed water discharged through the gaskets 26 and 27 passes through the return opening 16 and the conditioned air discharge opening 1.
9 can be reliably prevented from leaking into the inside.

Particularly in vehicles, vehicle limits are set to limit the dimensions that protrude above the roof, so it is important to make the air conditioner 1 thin and to mount it as low as possible on the roof. It is particularly effective to make the position lower than the top surface of the mounting bed 10.

る。 According to such a configuration, by mounting the air conditioner 1 on the roof via the mounting bed 10, airtightness and watertightness can be easily ensured regardless of the unevenness or deformation of the roof board 12. In addition, the mounting bed 1
0 is attached across the plurality of rafters 20 forming the roof structure 11, so it acts effectively as reinforcement for the roof structure 11, and there is no need to provide a special reinforcing member. Furthermore, by attaching the bracket 21 below the top surface of the mounting bed 10, the height of the air conditioner 1 from the roof surface can be kept low.
