Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 技術分野 本発明は、部分的に結晶性の組織を持つ合成材
料の薄片を接目状に結合するため、これらの薄片
と溶着過程の間絶えず接触している加熱くさびお
よび溶着圧力を加えかつ連続的に送るための1対
の押圧ローラーを有する合成材料の溶着機械に関
する。
従来技術 西ドイツ国特許第732156号明細書により公知
の、2つの熱可塑性合成材料の薄片を重ねて溶着
するための合成材料の溶着機械は、電気的に加熱
された1つの加熱くさびを有し、この加熱くさび
は溶着過程において薄片と絶えず接触している。
加熱くさびの後方にこれと僅かな距離を隔てて配
置され駆動されている1対の押圧ローラーは薄片
を絶えず運搬しそして軟化した薄片の部分を押圧
し、そのことによりこれらの薄片は互いに均一に
結合される。加熱くさびは銀で造られ従つて熱伝
導の非常に良い材料から造られている。この様に
して加熱くさびから薄片に比較的素早い熱伝導が
行われ、斯くして溶着過程は比較的大なる送り速
度で実施可能になつている。
この様な種類の溶着機械は特定の熱可塑性の合
成材料、例えばPVCの薄片を溶着するのに有用
であることが実証されている。何故ならば一方で
は溶着接目が平坦でそして歪められることがなく
形成され、他方では溶着接目に境界を接している
縁の部分にも何等の歪みが生じないからである。
これに反してポリエチレン及びポリプロピレンの
薄片を溶着する場合には、溶着接目の縁及び溶着
接目に接している縁の部分に波状の変形が生じ、
この変形は外観及び場合によつては溶着された対
象物の使用可能性が著しく阻害される。
これらの合成材料の薄片の相異なる溶着状態は
次の理由によるものである。即ち、PVCは無定
形の組織に構成され、ポリエチレンやポリプロピ
レンはそれに反して部分的に結晶性をもつ組織に
構成されているからである。部分的に結晶性を有
する組織の場合は無定形の組織とは反対に、溶着
接目が加熱され軟化した形態で、この接目に直接
接している縁の部分も組織の変化が生じ、この変
化は引き続いて行われる冷却過程において元に戻
るのであるが、冷却過程において部分的結晶性の
組織に戻るのが妨害される可能性がある。このた
め上記した様な波状の変形が発生する。
目 的 本発明の目的は、部分的結晶性の組織を持つ合
成部材の薄片でも完全に加工するのに適した、1
つの加熱くさびを備えた合成材料溶着機械を作り
出すことである。
構成、作用及び効果 この目的は、本発明により、加熱くさびが、直
接隣接しかつ送り方向に平行に延在している少な
くとも3つの部分に分割されていること、これら
のうち中央部分が高い熱伝達能力を有する材料か
らなること、そして外側に位置する部分が低い熱
伝達能力の材料からなることにより達成される。
加熱くさびの熱伝達能力は、中央部分にて高
く、外側に位置する部分にて低くするという構成
によつて、溶着される合成材料の薄片は加熱くさ
びの中央部分ではこの部分がエネルギーの流動が
大であるため強く熱せられそして縁の部分ではエ
ネルギーの流動が僅かであるためあまり熱せられ
ない、従つて溶着が行われている時、加熱くさび
の範囲の軟化した薄片部分と加熱くさびの側方に
位置する薄片部分との間に急激な温度の違いが存
在せず、あまり急激でない、最も好都合な場合に
は連続的な温度降下が発生している。薄片の大き
な範囲に亘つて作用し、従つて平坦になる温度勾
配のために、部分的に結晶性を有する組織への戻
りが、加熱された部分全体の幅に亙つて同時に行
われるのではなく、側方の縁の部分から溶着接目
の中央の方向に向かつて時間的に遅延しながら行
われ、そのことにより、最も高い温度になつてい
た薄片部分と加熱されなかつた薄片部分との間の
移行部分において一様な組織が形成される。この
様にして部分的に結晶性を有する合成部材でも平
坦な、歪みのない溶着接目が得られそして縁の部
分における波状の変形の形成は阻止される。
本発明の簡単な実施形態では、前記加熱くさび
の中央部分が例えば銀からなり、そして外側に位
置する部分にステンレス鋼を選択することができ
る。
特許請求の範囲第2項の構成によつて、形成す
べき溶着接目の範囲にある薄片部分は溶着接目の
幅全体に亙つて申し分ない溶着に必要な温度に加
熱されることが可能であることが保証される。
実施例 本発明は添付図に示された実施例によつて説明
される。
溶着機械のケーシングは基板1から成り、この
基板は垂直な柱2、台3とアーム4を担持し、こ
のアームは頭部5に移行している。
頭部5に固定された担持体6には駆動される上
部の押圧ローラー7が配置されそして柱2には駆
動される下部の押圧ローラー8が配置されてい
る。
頭部5の正面には担持体9が旋回可能に支承さ
れており、この担持体上には大体において水平に
延在している加熱くさび10が固定されている。
加熱くさび10は銀で造られた軸部11を有し、
この軸部はくさび片12に移行している。くさび
片12の縁13の処で終わつている前方の部分に
は、端の部分にくさびの形状に適合した挿入物1
4,15が固定されており、これらの挿入物はス
テンレス鋼から成つている。この様にしてくさび
片12は直接隣接し、送り方向Vに平行に延在し
ている部分16,17,18に分割され、これら
のうち中央部分16は高い熱伝導能力を有する材
料から成り、一方、外側に位置する部分17,1
8は非常に熱伝導能力の低い材料から成つてい
る。
軸部11の内部には公知の態様で2つの電気的
加熱パトローネ19が配置され、該パトローネは
くさび片12の処まで到達している。加熱パトロ
ーネ19を収容している軸部11の部分はセラミ
ツクの層20及びこの層を覆つている薄板外套2
1によつて囲まれている。
作業態様は以下のとおりである。
互いに溶着すべき合成材料薄片F1,F2は重
ね合わされ押圧ローラー7,8の間に挿入され、
その際重ね合わせる幅は大体において加熱くさび
10の中央部分16の幅に等しくなつている。引
き続いて加熱された加熱くさび10が押圧ローラ
ー7,8から遠く離れた静止位置から押圧ローラ
ー7,8にのすぐ前方に位置する作動位置に、2
つの薄片F1,F2の間に旋回され、それにより
くさび片12の前部が薄片F1,F2と接触す
る。その結果中央部分16と接触している薄片の
部分は、銀の高い熱伝導能力によるある程度の大
きさの(bedingten groβen)エネルギーの流に
よつて非常に素早く必要とされる溶着温度に加熱
され、一方くさびの外側部分17,18と接触し
ている薄片部分は、ステンレス鋼の非常に低い熱
伝導能力によるある程度の小さなエネルギーの流
によつて同じ時間に明らかにより低い温度に暖め
られている。
押圧ローラー7,8の駆動は、加熱くさび10
が旋回させられ、中央部分16と接触している薄
片部分が軟化した時に開始され、斯くして合成材
料の薄片F1,F2の送りが開始される。軟化し
た薄片部分はこの時押圧ローラー7,8によつて
押圧され、そのことによりこれらの薄片は溶着接
目Nの処で互いに結合されこの接目の幅は加熱く
さび10の中央部分16の幅にほぼ等しい。
加熱くさび10から発生するエネルギーの流れ
と押圧ローラー7,8の周速度とは、溶着過程が
連続的に行われる様に互いに同調させられる。
溶着接目Nが形成された後で加熱された薄片部
分は再び冷却される。薄片F1,F2の加熱は重
ね合わされた又は溶着接目の範囲に限定されてい
るのではなく、この範囲の両側にそれぞれ1つ
の、くさびの外側部分17,18の幅にほぼ等し
い幅の縁の部分R1,R2が同時により低い温度
に暖められているから、冷却はこの縁の部分R
1,R2の処から出発して、時間的に遅延しなが
ら溶着接目の中央の方向に向かつて進行する。
徐々に進行する冷却過程のため部分的に結晶性を
有する組織を持つ合成材料の薄片では、加熱され
なかつて薄片の範囲と溶着接目Nとの間の移行範
囲において比較的一様な組織が形成され、そのこ
とはこの範囲において薄片の変形が生起しない結
果になる。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 部分的に結晶性の組織を持つ合成材料の薄片
    を接目状に結合するため、これらの薄片と溶着過
    程の間絶えず接触している加熱くさびおよび溶着
    圧力を加えかつ連続的に送るための1対の押圧ロ
    ーラーを有する、合成材料の溶着機械において、
    加熱くさび10が、直接隣接し、送り方向Vに平
    行に延在している少なくとも3つの部分16,1
    7,18に分割されていること、これらのうち中
    央部分16が高い熱伝達能力を有する材料からな
    ること、そして外側に位置する部分17,18が
    低い熱伝達能力の材料からなることを特徴とする
    溶着機械。 2 前記中央部分16が、作り出すべき溶着接目
    Nの幅にほぼ等しいことを特徴とする、特許請求
    の範囲第1項に記載の溶着機械。
