Traditionally, the means of underwater communication are usually
Sound waves are used. Therefore, since a sound wave reflecting object near the communication path causes noise, a sound absorbing material is attached to the reflecting object to prevent noise. However, since sound-absorbing materials exist underwater,
Marine organisms adhere to the surface, which also causes noise.

In this case, the sound-absorbing material and the marine organism adhesion-preventing material are both usually made of rubber, but if they are immersed in the sea for a long period of time, there is a risk that water will permeate into the rubber and gradually reduce the sound-absorbing properties. It was hot.

For this reason, the present invention provides an underwater sound-absorbing material in which a marine organism adhesion prevention layer is provided on a sound-absorbing material layer, with a water permeability coefficient of 5×10 − between the sound-absorbing material layer and the marine organism adhesion prevention layer. 8 (g・hr -1・cm -1・mmHg -1 ) or less is an underwater sound absorbing material characterized by having a water permeation prevention layer provided therein.

Therefore, since microorganisms living in the sea avoid the surface of this prevention layer 1, adhesion can be prevented. Since this drug exhibits its effect by migrating to the surface, the prevention effect gradually decreases as the content decreases.

Plastic materials such as polysulfide rubber, vinyl chloride resin, epoxy resin, and polyethylene can be used. Further, the thickness of the water permeation prevention layer 2 may be 100 μm or more. This water permeation prevention layer 2
By providing this, water can be prevented from entering the sound absorbing material layer 3, and the sound absorbing function can be maintained for a long period of time. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent the migration of chemicals in the marine organism adhesion prevention layer 1 to the sound absorbing material layer 3, and to prolong the function of the marine organism adhesion prevention layer 1.

It has independent voids (such as air bubbles) 31 inside, and the incident sound wave is absorbed by converting kinetic energy into thermal energy in the vicinity of the independent voids 31. Ordinary rubber materials become water permeable when used underwater for long periods of time. The water that has entered as a result of this will gradually accumulate in the independent voids 31, which may impair the sound absorbing function in the long run. For this purpose, a water permeation prevention layer 2 is provided between the marine organism adhesion prevention layer 1 and the sound absorbing material layer 3 to prevent water from permeating into the sound absorbing material layer 3.
つぎに、本考案の海中吸音材の実施例を示す。 Next, examples of the underwater sound absorbing material of the present invention will be shown.

As explained above, the underwater sound-absorbing material of the present invention is composed of the marine organism adhesion prevention layer, the water permeation prevention layer, and the sound-absorbing material layer in this order from the outside (seawater side, that is, the sound wave incident side). Since the water permeation prevention layer can prevent seawater from entering (water permeation) from the surface, and the inner sound-absorbing material layer is protected, it is possible to maintain sound-absorbing properties over a long period of time. Furthermore, as a secondary effect, it is possible to prevent the adhesion prevention agent in the marine biofouling prevention layer from blooming, that is, migrating to the sound absorbing material layer, thereby making it possible to permanently maintain the marine biofouling prevention function.
