In FIG. 7, 10 is a contactor, 11 is a connector housing, 12 is an engaging claw, 13 is an engaging recess, 14 is an elastic arm, 15 is an engaging protrusion, and 16 is an engaging hole. In the connectors shown in FIGS. 7A and 7B, the engaging claws 12 provided on the contact 10 are engaged with the engaging recesses 13 provided on the connector housing 11 to remove the contact 10 from the connector housing 11. It is a fixed type connector that does not come off. 7 (c) and 7 (d), the connector housing 11 is provided with an elastic arm 14 having an engaging projection 15,
The connector is of a type in which the engagement projection 15 is engaged with the engagement hole 16 of the contact 10 to fix the contact 10 so that the contact 10 does not come off from the connector housing 11. In these connectors, the engagement of the contact 10 with the connector housing 11 causes the contact 10 to engage the connector housing 1.
It is performed by inserting it from the rear side of 1 and advancing it forward in the fitting direction. When the engaging claw 12 or the engaging hole 16 reaches a predetermined position, the engaging is performed. An example of a document relating to such a conventional connector is Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 55-71469.

(Explanation of Problems) In the conventional connector, as described above, the contact 10 and the connector housing 11 are engaged with each other while advancing the contact 10 in the same direction as the fitting direction. If the engagement is ensured, the contact 10 will not fall backward. If the engagement is incomplete, it can move in the direction opposite to the fitting direction. Therefore, if the connector is used without noticing it, the contact 10 is pushed by the mating contact and falls off from the connector housing 11. The present invention aims to solve such problems.

Guide the contact so that the contacts do not shift laterally from each other. 2 (B) is a front view of the male housing 2, FIG. 2 (A) is a top view thereof, FIG. 2 (C) is a bottom view, and FIG. 2 (D) is a side view. The base recess 2-4 is the male contactor 1.
It is a recess for accommodating the base portion 1-5 and the supporting wing portion 1-4. The lock portion 2-2 is provided so as to project from the bottom of the base recess 2-4 toward the surface of the male housing. The lock protrusion 2-3 is provided on the side surface of the lock portion 2-2. The lock portion 2-2 is made to be slightly elastically displaced in a direction perpendicular to the surface on which the lock protrusion 2-3 is provided, for convenience of engagement. (1) Engagement of the first engaging portion As can be seen from FIG. 1D, a hook portion 1-3 is provided at the tip of the male contact 1, and the hook hole 2-1 of the male housing 2 is provided. Is engaged with. These form the first engaging portion. In order to engage the hook portion 1-3 with the hook hole 2-1, the male contact 1 is slid upward with respect to the male housing 2 in FIG. Since the fitting direction when mating with the female connector is downward in FIG. 1 (d), the engagement is performed in the direction opposite to the mating direction with respect to the male contact 1 with respect to the male housing 2. It means that the engagement is carried out by moving. (2) Engagement of the second engaging portion The second engaging portion is a lock hole 1-7 provided in one of the blade pieces 1-6 of the male contactor 1 and a lock of the male housing 2. It is formed by the lock protrusion 2-3 of the portion 2-2. The male contactor in the state where the first engagement is performed but the second engagement is not yet performed is as shown by 1'in FIG. 1 (d). In order to perform the second engagement, a force that brings the male contactor 1 ′ closer to the male housing 2 (a force that makes the male contactor 1 ′ approach in a direction perpendicular to the fitting direction of the connector) is applied. Then, the male contact 1'moves as shown by an arrow A, and the lock hole 1-7 '
Engage the locking projection 2-3. [When applied to female connector] Fig. 3 shows an embodiment in which the present invention is applied to a female connector, and Fig. 4 shows the structure of the housing in that case. For the female connector, the contacts are fixed to the housing in the same way as for the male connector. In FIGS. 3 and 4, 3 is a female contactor, 3-1 is a contact part, 3-2 is a side guide part, 3-3 is a hook part, 3-
4 is a support wing part, 3-5 is a base part, 3-6 is a wing piece, 3-7 is a lock hole, 4 is a female housing, 4-1 is a hook hole, 4
Reference numeral -2 is a lock portion, 4-3 is a lock projection, 4-4 is a base recess, 4-5 is a hook recess, and 4-6 is a lock claw engagement recess. The structure of each part is substantially the same as that in the case of FIG. 1 and FIG.
The hook portion 3-3 and the hook hole 4-1 form a first engaging portion, and the lock hole 3-7 and the lock portion 4-2 form a second engaging portion. The lock claw engagement recess 4-6 engages with the lock claw 2-5 of FIG. 2 when the connector is fitted,
It is for locking the housings. [Regarding Automatic Correction of Incomplete Engagement] FIG. 5 shows an overall perspective view of a male connector and a female connector to which the present invention is applied as described above. FIG. 6 shows the state of the main parts when such a connector is fitted. FIG. 6 (a) is a side view, FIG. 6 (b) is a top view, and FIG. 6 (c) is a bottom view. It is assumed that there is a contact incompletely engaged with the second engaging portion with respect to the connector housing. This contact is raised from the surface of the connector housing, if not as much as the male contact 1'of FIG. However, the fitting is performed by advancing the male connector downward toward the female connector in FIG. 5, and at the end of the fitting, the male contact 1 and the female contact 3 are separated as shown in FIG. It comes into close contact. Therefore, the floating contactor, whether it is the male contactor 1 or the female contactor 3, is pressed against the connector housing on its own side during the fitting process.
As a result, the engagement of the second engagement portion is surely performed. That is, even if the connector is used without noticing that the engagement of the second engaging portion is incomplete, the engagement is automatically completed and the contact is prevented from falling off.
