[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Two important points to be noted in beveling are the bevel position at the edge and the bevel curve. Here, the bevel curve is a curve value that specifies a spherical surface formed by a bevel vertex locus connecting the vertices. Ideally, when the lens to be processed has a refractive power of +2 to -3 diopters, the bevel apex position is formed at a position of 4: 6 which is the edge thickness of each radius of motion of any lens radius. That is. However, in reality, it is extremely difficult to process such an ideal bevel apex position or bevel into a predetermined bevel curve. Because conventionally, only the bevel apex position and bevel curve depend on the operator's perception and experience, and what kind of bevel is formed on the lens to be processed can be known without actually processing. Because there is no. As a result, I often even made "trial cuts". In particular, the beveling process is the process that requires the most care because it is directly connected to the inability to frame the lens and the occurrence of burrs and cracks when the frame is framed or worn.

Another problem is that it is impossible to determine whether or not the lens after the grinding process has been processed into a size suitable for the lens frame to be framed without actually carrying out the frame framing work. That's what it means. Therefore, after finishing the grinding work,
Lens removal from the lens grinding machine, frame setting work and judgment of frame suitability, and if the processed lens is larger than the lens frame, chucking the lens to the grinding machine again, the amount of grinding for the second grinding process It required setup, re-grinding, and extremely complicated work that required skill and experience. The above-mentioned problem is that the bevel shape after beveling cannot be recognized in a simulated manner before machining, or there is no method for that.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The constitutional feature of the method for setting an appropriate bevel apex position according to the present invention is that an unprocessed lens is rotatably supported on a lens rotation shaft, and the lens is roughly ground with a rough grindstone. In the method of setting an appropriate bevel position for beveling the lens to be processed after rough grinding with a bevel grindstone, the shape data of the lens frame of the spectacle frame in which the lens to be processed is framed or the lens frame Formed after beveling on the measurement locus of the lens to be processed having a predetermined relationship with the virtual edge locus obtained from the shape data of the lens to be processed which has been roughly ground by the rough grindstone following a template having a shape. The first step of obtaining the edge thickness information, and the bevel apex position information for arranging the bevel apex after beveling at a predetermined position of the edge thickness are obtained in the first step. A second step of obtaining bevel shape information in addition to the edge thickness information obtained, a third step of graphically displaying the bevel shape based on the bevel shape information obtained in the second step, and a graphic display in the third step And a fourth step of adjusting the edge thickness information or the bevel apex position information based on the formed bevel shape and setting the bevel apex position to an appropriate position.

According to the present invention, before the beveling of the lens to be processed, the bevel shape which will be formed after the processing of the lens is graphically displayed and adjusted to the desired edge thickness and the bevel apex position. Since it is possible to set an appropriate bevel vertex position, it is actually possible to frame whether the lens after grinding has been beveled to a size suitable for the lens frame to be framed, as in the past. It can be determined without working, and by connecting to a grinding device, proper beveling can be performed even at a distant place.

Subsequently, the motor 301 is rotated every predetermined number of unit rotation pulses. At this time, the sensor head portion 312 moves on the rails 311 and 311 according to the shape of the spectacle frame 500, that is, the radius vector of the lens frame 501, and the movement amount is read by the magnetic scale 314 and the reading head 313. From the rotation angle θ of the motor 301 and the reading amount ρ from the reading head 313, the lens frame shape is (ρ n , θ n ) (n = 1, 2, 3, ...

When the bevel feeler 356 sometimes comes off from the lens frame 501 during the measurement of the radius vector of the lens frame 501 described above, as shown by e in FIG. Since it largely deviates from the measurement data of, the radius change range a is defined in advance, and when it deviates from that range, the sensor arm unit 302
Rotation is stopped, and at the same time, the electromagnetic magnet 318 of the spring device 315 shown in FIG. 8 is excited to attract the collar 321.
As a result, the clutch plates 324 and 325 cause the constant torque spring 3 to move.
Since 16 is sandwiched and its winding action is prevented, the arm 355 of the sensor head portion 312 can be prevented from being caught in the lens frame and scratching the eyeglass frame 500. After the feeler 356 is dislocated in this way, the eyeglass frame 500 is returned to the initial measurement position again and measurement is performed again. If the bevel feeler 356 does not come off the frame 500, the door 10
Since it is configured so that the housing 210 can be pulled out by opening a (see FIGS. 1 and 3), the operator can easily remove the feeler. Further, the carriage 2 is formed with an end 680 of the lens radius sensor 620 and an opening 680 through which the feeler of the lens surface shape sensor moves in and out of the lens side. A shielding plate 681 is provided to prevent grinding water from entering the lens measuring device through the opening 680 during lens grinding. The shield plate 681 is attached to a ring 683 rotatably fitted on the lens rotation shaft 28 via an O-ring 682. When the lens rotation shaft 28 is rotated in the direction of arrow 684 in order to measure the lens radius, etc., the ring 683 also rotates the shielding plate 681 at that time by the frictional force of the O-ring 682, unblocks the opening 680, and rotates further. Then, the shield plate 681 comes into contact with the protruding portion 686 formed on the carriage 2 and is prevented from further rotating. After that, the lens LE can be rotated by rotating only the lens rotation shaft 28 against the frictional force of the O-ring 682. Conversely, when the lens rotation shaft 28 is rotated in the direction of arrow 685 during lens grinding, the shield plate 681
Is rotated at the same time to block the opening 680 again, and the projection 687 formed on the carriage 2 is brought into contact with the opening 680 to prevent the subsequent rotation. Therefore, the opening 680 is continuously blocked. Electric Control System Referring to FIG. 22, the structure of the electric control system of this embodiment having the above-described mechanical structure will be described with a block diagram. The encoder 615 of the lens radius sensor 620 and the encoders 661 and 662 of the lens surface shape sensor are the counter circuits 8 respectively.
It is connected to 20, 821 and 823. The detection output from each encoder is the counter circuit 820, 82.
1, 823, and the result is calculated by the arithmetic control circuit 810.
Is input to. Further, the photo sensor unit 427 and the micro switches 641, 642 and 244 are also connected to the arithmetic control circuit 810.

X driver 120 for driving the X row of the dot matrix liquid crystal element by a signal from 400 and the controller
0 and a Y driver 1300 for driving the Y column. Description of Device Operation Next, the operation of the above-described lens grinding device will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG. Step 1-1: After turning on the main switch 2100, first, the machining type selection switch 2204 is used to directly measure the lens frame of the frame to select direct machining or machining with a template. Step 1-2: The operator decides whether the bevel position setting is automatic or manual, and if it is automatic, the selection switch 220
If the "auto" side of 5 is manual, press the "manual" side. Step 1-3: The arithmetic control circuit 810 is the input device 200.
The selection command of the 0 selection switch 2204 is read and either the direct machining sequence program or the template sequence program is read from the program memory 814. 1) Direct machining [The operation sequence when direct machining is selected will be described below. ] Step 1-4: The operator measures only the lens frame shape of one eye of the frame, and the other eye processes using the inverted data, or measures the lens frame shape of both eyes and measures the respective data. The binocular-single-eye selection switch 2206 is used to select whether to perform the original processing. Step 1-5: The worker inputs PD and RPD, or a relative amount (approach amount) of both when inputting the horizontal positional relationship between the pupil center of the wearer's eye and the geometric center of the frame. Decide what to do. When inputting PD or FPD, the "PD" side of the selection switch 2207 is pushed, and when inputting the amount of shift, the "shift" side is pushed and inputted. Step 2-1: Set the frame so that the lens frame 501 of the frame 500 is fixed by the frame holding rod 152 of the frame holding device section 100. The frame holding device section 100 in which the frame 500 is set is inserted from the opening 100 of the apparatus housing 1 and the hand 21 of the supporting device section 200A is inserted.
It is temporarily held at 1,212. Step 2-2: The lens frame left / right eye determining device 240 determines whether the lens frame 501 set on the measuring unit 300 of the lens frame shape measuring device is for the left eye or the right eye. That is, when the micro switch 244 of the determination device 240 is turned off, the arithmetic and control circuit 810 determines that the lens frame located on the measurement unit 300 is for the left eye. On the other hand, if the micro switch 244 of the determination device 240 is still ON even when the frame holding device section 100 is set on the supporting device section 200, the arithmetic control circuit 810 determines that the lens frame positioned on the measuring section is the right eye. It is determined to be for use. Step 2-3: Judgment result of the judgment device 240, that is,
As shown in FIG. 25, the liquid crystal display 1100 displays the right eye lens frame or the left eye lens frame by characters 1113. Step 2-4: The operator operates the chucking handle 29 to chuck the lens LE to be processed by the lens rotation shaft 28 of the carriage 2. At this time, the suction plate is sucked so that its center coincides with the optical center of the lens LE to be processed. That is, the optical center of the chucked lens LE to be processed is set so as to coincide with the lens rotation axis. Step 2-5: The operator inputs the PD value of the wearer according to the prescription with the ten-key switch 2300, and presses the memory switch 2302 after the input is completed. Arithmetic control circuit 810
Temporarily stores the data in the internal memory and displays the input data on the "PD" display section 1101 of the display. Next, the operator inputs the FPD value with the ten-key switch 2300 and presses the memory switch 2302 after the input is completed. The arithmetic control circuit 810 temporarily stores the data in the internal memory, and displays the input data on the “FPD” display unit 1102 of the display 1100 via the controller 1400.

Is calculated as Next, the bevel curve value C P is calculated based on the obtained bevel apex positions e Z M and e Z N.
Is obtained by the same solution as the above equations (4) and (7),
From the bevel curve value C P and the edge thickness Δ n , the bevel apex position e Z i (i = 1, 2, 3, ..., N) for each radius angle is obtained, and these are input to the lens data memory 827. Remember. Step 3-5: As shown in FIG. 25, the bevel shape at the maximum-minimum edge thickness obtained in step 3-4 is
A cross-sectional view of the auto bevel on the liquid crystal display 1100.
Display as 0. Here, the solid line shows the bevel shape with the maximum edge Δ max , and the broken line schematically shows the bevel shape with the minimum edge Δ min so that the respective bevel vertices coincide with each other. Step 3-6: If "manual" input is made in step 1-2, go to step 3-7. If "auto" input, go to step 4-1. Step 3-7: When the operator inputs “manual” in the previous step 1-2, the arithmetic control circuit 810 causes the liquid crystal display 1100 of the display device 1000 to display the characters “curve” and “shift amount” as shown in FIG. Is displayed, and the operator is prompted to enter each desired numerical value. The operator operates the numeric keyboard 2300 to input a desired curve value. The input data is displayed in the “curve” column of the liquid crystal display 1100, and the operator confirms it and presses the “memory” switch 2302 to store the input data in the internal memory of the arithmetic control circuit 810. Next, the worker operates the switch 220.
After pressing the "close" switch of 7, the previous step 3-5,
The desired amount of displacement of the bevel apex obtained in 3-6 is input by operating the ten-key switch 2300 in millimeter units. The input data is displayed on the “close” display unit 1112 of the liquid crystal display 1100. Step 3-8: Simultaneously with the above operation, the arithmetic control circuit 81
0 shifts the bevel apex position of the minimum edge determined in step 3-5 based on the input shift amount by the shift amount, and
Based on the input bevel curve value, each radial angle rs θ i (i =
The bevel position information e Z i for 1, 2, 3, ... N) is obtained, and both the bevel vertex positions of the minimum bevel and the maximum bevel are graphically displayed on the manual bevel shape display unit 1120 of the liquid crystal display 1100. Here, the solid line shows the maximum bevel shape and the broken line shows the minimum bevel shape. In the example of FIG. 25, the bevel shape is displayed when the bevel apex is moved backward and the bevel curve is small (the radius of curvature is large) as compared with the case of auto.

Next, the arithmetic control circuit 810 outputs the lens frame radius vector information ( rs ρ i , from the lens frame data memory 811 ) .
rs θ i ) (i = 1, 2, 3, ... N) are read in sequence,
In addition, the bevel position information e Z i corresponding thereto is sequentially read from the lens data memory 827, and based on these data, the lens rotation axis motor 21, the contact stop motor 420,
By controlling the carriage movement motor 60, the rough-ground lens is beveled by the bevel grindstone 3b. Step 4-5: After the beveling is finished, the arithmetic control circuit 81
0 controls the stopper motor 420 to return the carriage 2 to the fixed position on the bevel grindstone, and the switch 825 is turned off.
Set to F and stop the grindstone motor 5. Next, the arithmetic control circuit 810 controls the lens rotation shaft motor 21 to rotate the lens rotation shaft 28 in the direction of arrow 684 in FIG. As a result, the light blocking plate 681 rotates and the opening 680 is opened.
As shown in FIGS. 32 and 33, the arithmetic control circuit 810 rotates the lens radius sensor motor 605 to move the moving frame 610 forward. Along with this, the lens radius sensor 620 is advanced by the tensile force of the constant torque spring 614, and the contact ring 625 abuts on the edge of the beveled lens LE. Since the lens rotation shaft 28 is rotated, the encoder 615 uses the radial information ( rs ρ i ' , rs θ i of the lens LE ).
' ) (I = 1, 2, 3, ..., N) is detected, and this is detected by the arithmetic control circuit 8 via the counter 820.
Measured at 10. Step 4-6: The arithmetic and control circuit 810 causes the lens frame radius vector information ( rs ρ stored in the lens frame data memory 827).
i , rs θ i ) and the lens radius vector information ( rs ρ i , rs θ i ) of the processed lens measured in the previous step 4-5 are compared to determine whether the two match. If they match, the process proceeds to step 4-8, and if they do not match, the process proceeds to step 4-7. Step 4-7: When rs ρ i is larger than rs ρ i , the height d i of the abutting member 422 is lowered by a small amount, and the process returns to step 4-4 to perform the beveling. Step 4-8: If it is determined in step 4-6 that rs ρ i and rs ρ i match, the initial state is restored.
After that, remove the lens that has been processed from the carriage. Step 6-1: The arithmetic and control circuit 810 determines whether or not the grinding process has been completed for the binocular lenses, and if it has not been completed, the process proceeds to step 5-2. When it is determined to be completed, all steps are completed. Step 6-2 and Step 6-4 The arithmetic control circuit 810 determines whether the binocular measurement or the monocular measurement is selected in Step 1-4, and determines “one eye”.
If is selected, the process proceeds to the next step 6-3.
When "Binocular" is selected, "Please set the other lens frame of the frame" is displayed on the liquid crystal display 1100 of the display device 1000, and the operator sets the lens frame 501 of the other eye. It The above-mentioned step 2-
After performing steps 2 to 2-4, the process proceeds to step 2-7. Step 6-3: When step 1-4 is a one-eye measurement command, the arithmetic control circuit 810 uses the right eye lens frame measurement data ( rs ρ n , rs θ n ) obtained in step 2-6 as polar coordinates-orthogonal coordinates. After conversion, the Cartesian coordinate data ( rs X i , rs
Y i ) (i = 1, 2, 3, ..., N)

As a new lens frame detection data (l s X
i , l s Y i ) is obtained. X s -Y s coordinates Y s this data with the origin of the optical center O s' as shown in FIG. 14
Axis obtained by inverting the lens frame shape of the right eye as a symmetrical axis, again orthogonal coordinate this - to polar coordinate conversion (l s ρ n, l
s θ n ) is stored in the lens frame data memory 811 as the lens frame shape of the left eye. The following steps 2-4 and 2-
After executing 6, the process proceeds to step 3-1. 2) In the case of template processing If it is determined in step 1-2 that template processing has been selected, grinding processing is executed according to the following steps. Step 5-1: Attach the template SP on which the frame 500 is pre-molded to the template holder 27b of the carriage 2 (see FIG. 34). Step 5-2: The lens LE to be processed is chucked by the lens rotation shaft 28 of the carriage 2. Step 5-3: The operator judges the material of the lens to be processed, and when the glass is glass, it is displayed as "G start", and when it is plastic, it is displayed as "P start". Push. Switch 24
If 01 is turned ON, go to step 5-4 and switch 24
If 02 is turned on, the process proceeds to step 5-5. Step 5-4: The arithmetic control circuit 810 switches the switch 82.
5 is turned on to rotate the grindstone motor 5 to rotate the grindstone 3 at high speed. Next, the arithmetic control circuit 810 rotates the lens rotation shaft motor 21 to rotate the lens LE at a low speed. Further, the stopper motor 420 lowers the arc-shaped portion 422a of the stopper member 422 to the same height as the glass rough grinding stone 3a under the control of the arithmetic control circuit 810. As a result, the rough grinding of the lens LE is started. Photo sensor 42
When the cutoff signal from 7 is continuously output for one rotation of the lens rotation shaft 28, the arithmetic control circuit 810 determines that the rough grinding is completed, and controls the stopper motor 420 to move the carriage 2 to the fixed position. After raising, switch 825 is turned off
Then, the grindstone 3 is stopped. Step 5-5: The lens LE to be processed is positioned on the plastic rough grindstone 3C by driving the carriage moving motor 60, and thereafter, rough grinding is performed in the same manner as in Step 5-4 described above. Step 5-6: The operator inputs with the selection switch 2209 whether the lens after rough grinding is beveled or smoothed. Step 5-7: If beveling is selected in step 5-6, the process proceeds to the next step 5-8, and if smoothing is selected, the process proceeds to step 7-1. Thereafter, the above steps 3-3 to 3-9 and 4-4 are executed to complete the machining. Step 7-1: When the operator selects smoothing in step 5-6, the arithmetic control circuit 810 reads the fact in step 5-7, and the carriage moving motor 60 is rotated to move the lens LE to be processed. It moves to the smooth grindstone 3d, and then the carriage 2 is lowered to perform the flat machining. Automatic Template Processing Detection Device In the above-described embodiment, selection between direct machining and template processing is performed by the command of the selection switch 2204.
5 and 16 show examples in which the selection can be automatically instructed by mounting the template. A bearing 710 is attached to the arm 34 of the carriage. The bearing 710 has a slot 711 formed along its longitudinal direction. Bearing 7
A stopper lever 712 is fixed to one end of the shaft 10, and a shaft 714 having a tapered portion 713 formed on the other end thereof is rotatably fitted and inserted. A pin 715 is planted on the outer circumference of the shaft 714. The pin 715 is normally in contact with the end surface of the bearing and prevents the shaft 714 from moving in the axial direction. A shaft 714 is further provided at the end of the shaft 714 with an arrow 716 in FIG.
